And it’s thumb on C, 4th or 3rd finger on F, 2nd finger on Eb then cross over to thumb and repeat. Works for me.

I listen to a whole lot of jazz, Peter, and I think that, in addition to being an exceptional teacher, you are also an outstanding player. First rank!!

    C minor / B b / A b / G minor chords
C minor pentatonic for his fancy fingers
Very good tutorial. Peter’s lessons are more advanced and he does not give as many easy how to Charts & notes.

do you have a diagram of fingering for the pentatonic scales in this video?

  • @samgville

Which is the tonality of that pentatonic? C? is it a minor pentatonic? I haven't found a good theory behind building pentatonics

I know fingering is personal, but what fingering are you using for both the pentatonic scale over multiple octaves as well as the patterns. Thank you

Sometimes I feel like I’m watching these videos only for the instructor to impressed us with their abilities. But when it comes to explaining/teaching the exercise,,, there’s no notation, no chord chart on the screen, no explaining chords or fingering clearly. Unless that’s the whole idea of the video? For us to slow the video down and figure it out by watching his fingers drop on the notes? I don’t know. But a more detailed explanation of blessing would help a lot.

I agree whole heartily. Peter, that was useless. No technique taught here. Just a waste of my time watching you rip up the piano at tempo-de-tear-ass!

Frustrating to see a practice lesson where there is no mention of the notes to hit (in what sewuence) and with which recommended fingering...

Hi, I really like your channel and I’ve been following your guys for sometimes. But I have one opinion that I would like to share. You show off your skills a lot and it makes it hard to follow sometimes.

That sucked !!! Will you ever
Learn that no matter how easy
Pent. Scales look, or any set
Scheme of tones for that matter,
Slow it the fuck down !! At least
    Once !!!
