    Eating a mostly carnivore diet, I find keeping my electrolytes in balance is essential. I know some viewers don't like "commercials," but I appreciate it when like-minded content shares product information that could be helpful to me. Thanks, Rebecca, for sharing your wealth of knowledge in the pursuit of optimum health, especially in the fight against chronic health issues. Not every product works for everyone, but I love finding those that work for me.

    Hey there. Living in CA we are subject to Prop 65 warnings. So, when I went on the Redmond's website to order, everything that has Bentonite Clay in it, also contains certain amounts of lead. But, read the frequently asked questions bar for Remonds and it explains very well the concerns regarding the lead content.

    Not all electrolyte drinks are created equal. If you’re working out for an hour or less, regular H20 will do. But if you’re exercising upwards of 75 minutes or more (or if it’s very hot out), then an electrolyte drink with sodium, potassium, and magnesium is a good idea during or after your work out. The minerals help your body actually ABSORB the water > drink mineral filled spring water from your area > I drink mountain valley spring water from nearby state Arkansas >>> salt is a cleaner especially of excessive mucus in the airway and digestive tract > oil is most helpful for the body to be able to retain its hydration >>>> water can actually be drying for the body as per Ayuveda medicine

    Clay is the main ingredient in the toothpowder I make 🙂 I make a magnesium spray to get my magnesium. My understanding is it absorbs better through your skin than ingesting. Added bonus it makes a great deodorant. There really is no downside to separating from commercially made expensive possibly even toxic products. If I can’t ingest it I’m not putting it on my largest organ

    We've used plain baking soda with erythritol for toothpaste for years. It works so well our dentist now uses it. Very cheap. Tried bentonite clay and you do swallow some and made my wife and I very sick. We thought we had the flu and realized it was the clay. It's very absorbent and detoxifying so use with caution.

    Is Redman salt from the sea? Or is it mined?

    • @torysetliff
      @torysetliff 3 года назад +1

      It’s mined in Utah from an ancient sea bed (not currently a body of water.)

    •  3 года назад

      The Great Salt Lake in Utah is part of a huge ocean salt deposit from millions of years ago. The fossil record shows that the sea once covered most of North America, and the deepest crevices held that seawater the longest time compared to flat lands, allowing the sea salt & minerals to crystallize in deep deposits. You can see evidence of this just by visiting the Great Salt Lake. There are other deep deposits of sea salt in many other places as well... under Detroit, Michigan, for example.

    Quick medical note re drinking extra sodium, potassium on a regular: *NOT FOR EVERYONE*. Sodium tends to pull water into the body. Over time it can cause high blood pressure. For people with existing hypertension, heart failure, kidney impairment.. this excess can create a major overload and a major problem. Excess of potassium in someone with kidney failure can be fatal. To the best of my knowledge in general during an intense sports game or such a bit of extra electrolytes are reasonable, otherwise on a daily, generally the body pulls from what is already in our diet. My understanding is Americans generally are well over the needed amount of sodium in particular and the kidneys have to deal with / excrete the excess which can cause harm over time.. Peace & Much Care from this medical doctor / homesteader

    I tuned in to see homestead activity. I got an 11 minute commercial. Sort of like the Super Bowl, without the football. The Justin Rhodes channel continues to become more and more like a series of late-night infomercials. Anything for a buck...

      @@theJustinRhodesShow Yes, but this is not a one-off. For quite some time, virtually every post includes an infomercial for a book, a paid site, or some other such thing. I understand that you are homesteading in order to produce content for the money that brings, and I am still following regularly, but substantial parts of your posts are indistinguishable from the deluge of marketing ploys that are slammed at us from every direction. A major reason that many of us are attracted to the idea of homesteading and sustainable living is that we would like to escape the usual environment in which oppressive merchandising is infiltrated into our lives all day, every day and every night.
