To mark the 40th anniversary of my former coach Yilmaz Helvacioglu's world title, we have the 1983 final fight against Lindsay Lawrence from Great Britain for you. Pure nostalgia!
When he won the world championship title in 1983, Yilmaz became the first Turkish athlete to ever win a world championship for Turkey. Turkish sports history was written with this final fight.
