What a beautiful story. My husband and I found our path together in a simlar way. Not youtube but durring the crash we were on edge, he lost his job, came home and started working in cars out of our driveway. Pretty soon we had to move to the country because we had cars parked for blocks. I had to help with bookeeping and helping manage his stuff. Needless to say what was the worst time in our relationship also brought us together.❤

I was taking classes from you when you left the yoga center (around 2013/14?) and I was really bummed because you were one of the best teachers I had ever come across (my first yoga class was 1991)!! I was always "pure Ashtanga", but your Ashtanga-based Vinyasa class taught me to change up the routine while still going deep, it was a 2/3 level class. It took me a while but after some digging around (for something completely different, of course), I found you on RUclips, it changed everything, again! And, I don't have to conform to a weird schedule. Thank You, thank you, thank you!! I'm glad you are doing well, you deserve it!
You are such a good team and I am so thrilled that you both ended up where you ended up. I feel as though you are a lovely friend. Not just to me but to thousands of others who you help with your amazing videos. Your teaching is constantly evolving and the filming (thanks Duke) and locations are beautiful. I remember when you started I've been following you since then, I think it was only like 4 videos which I constantly play over and over, while I went to Massage school, I'm so happy this works for you and I enjoy all your videos. Thank you!
And it’s January 2014 and I go on Yotube to find a yoga video, so I can stretch my body a bit. And find several channels, but I choose yours, because of your pleasant voice and it was the 90 days of starting a healthy habit. And I did it, did the 90 days and my life changed. My mind cleared, I was able to clean out unhealthy relationships, was able to say NO to people. Everybody was asking me, what I was doing, there was something about me, that everybody saw. I was happy in a long time and it showed. Isn’t it funny, how then, you change other peoples life, accidently.

It’s an unusual name. Most people think it’s not real!! Duke was never a fighter but our boys did BJJ for 7 or 8 years and now they’re into wrestling ☺️
