Thanks Dan.. interesting, and something to consider... not sure if I need the client portal but certainly need to send forms to clients so they can provide graphic files and other info to update their record. Thinking I could give them a unique identifier to enter into the form so we can 'find' their record and update it.
a little confusing but may need a couple views. I'm hoping to setup an automation to send emails to the team to update URL fields or status for tasks. Hopefully a client portal system comes soon or can work on the team using smartsuite in the meantime. Thank you 🙏
If you have the project client lookup field already, why do you have to set the guest access field at all? Does that field "do" anything that can't be "done" by the lookup field?

Yeah, the actual permissioning only works with an assigned to field, so one couldn't see the task if they're not assigned to it.
Couldn't the email be a hidden field in the background that is extracted from the email associated with the logged in user?
For the form? No way to pass hidden field data at this point in time. For a grid view you can have a filter based on the logged in user
