Imagine, you're a junior in college. You've spent your fall semester traveling abroad, and as part of that abroad program, you get to not only go to local sporting events, but get a behind the scenes tour and demo of a local team, where you see their facilities, learn the sport, do some basic training techniques, and really enjoy it. You appreciate the experience and game, and adopt that team as your own, naturally. While you're there, they have a fine, if unremarkable season.
You travel home, and it is near impossible to keep up with. You think about it now and then, but it's tough to do so, so it falls by the wayside.
Years go by. With the modern RUclips ecosystem, you bet there are consistent highlights that you can keep up with at least, and so this season you'll give it a go. You do so. In doing so, you find out that the team you're trying to follow is bad. Okay, that happens, whatever, you keep up. They keep losing. The losing gets worse. Turns out your team is not only the worst in the league, but the worst by a wide margin.
This team is the North Melbourne Kangaroos, and this person, unsurprisingly, is me.
Imagine following them for your entire life lol
No pressure, no effort, no drive. It's like North accept that they're going to lose each game before it even starts. And it doesn't look like it's going to change for a very long time
They're tanking; it's unbelievable how nobody has even picked up on it yet.
I mean do they even need to tank? They have been terrible for years now,they’ll lose the vast majority of games with big margins even if they try.
Do they really believe the No.1 draft pick is worth all the pain and losing and will save them? Who wants to play for a club with zero ambitions in a season anyway?
I see a lot of players asking to be traded or leaving as free agents at the end of the season.
@@LomuHabana It's obvious, look how they played against GWS in Round 1 and compare it to the way they're playing now!
@@rhysh2639 I am not saying they aren’t tanking, just pointing out how ridiculous it is to be talking so early in the season.
