Is it just me or the tvm sams don't work post v1.06. they miss and go past the target, I've tested others but all russian tvm sams miss the target 100% of the time except ARH guided ones.
The PCLS is detecting the radio transmissions of the aircraft (and thus we should need a way to simulate radio silence) or is it picking up the VHF signal emitted by the radio stations that bounces on the aircraft and reaches the receiver? It seems OP how precise the tracks were.
Its picking up the reflection of the FM tower transmissions. Its overpowered only based on the sophistication of the receiver. Its proven as a useful capability as far back as the 1970s when US ELINT flights were tracking Soviet aircraft using Soviet radio transmissions. I would imagine it has only gotten more sophisticated.
