This is a common occurrence with Brad, with this GM. He lets valuable players walk without another good suitable option. who can equally match or exceed the production of the last player who has walked in free agency. Josh Reynolds is just one example out of many.
I'm not worried about the offense. Lions dominated the Cardinals and the 2nd half woes I think has everything to do with working out small issues with execution.

It feels like the offense is playing a different style too. We’re comfortable getting first downs, burning clock, and ending with the ball. Not necessarily deep shots or shootouts. Our defense being improved helps us too with being able to just possess the ball primarily. Of course more points are always better :)

Goff gotta do his part also, he locks in on 2 receivers most of the time....where was Jamo last week? Goff gets paid too much to be uncomfortable with certain receivers.
I think Ben still is figuring out how to deal with Jamo as his number two. He can’t just clear out the deep safeties anymore. He has to work Jamo into Reynolds old role. That or Goff is still trying to get on that page too. Practice isn’t the same as the real thing.
Your point on trust is very good. If Goff is even a aplit second slower on the routes he is use to having Josh on, that’s all it takes in the difference between a catch or incompletion
Someone else made this statement that the Lions because the pre-seasons are shortened they have took it upon themselves to extended the preseason into the regular season and are using these games hone their skills by trying out different strategies and testing different players in different position there's a method to their madness I hope
