In my case, the channel-swiped rate is 94.2%, and indeed all the viral shorts have more than a 95% swiped rate, also my first 3 shorts have 103 mil, 78 mil, and 65 mil views. I strongly agree that the swiped-rate is the most important factor in RUclips analytics for the short. The second one, is the engagement, especially the likes number.

the real problem is when you're starting out and youtube is showing your videos to the wrong audience, most of the time they don't even understand the language of the video, so obviously they'll swipe away.
I'm a small channel, and I can say that you absolutely need above 65% to get near 10k views. My best is around 80% and I've had one get to 100k and the rest around 10-15k (when between 65-80%).

I looked at your channel and can see you have 100k total views. You may have been looking at the stats for a certain time period only where your channel amassed 89k views. Don't worry on your channel description it says 100k, congrats!

Wow. This is quite different from mine. Currently on my channel they're only pushing just one of my first videos. My recent videos are not being pushed at all on the shorts feed. And that video that they're pushing has a swipe rate of 59.6%. There are other videos on the channel with higher swipe rates but they're not being pushed. What I did notice for my channel was that the videos that did well, had a good impression click through rate from search, channel pages and browse feed.
Hi Maggie, My swipe rate was the exact same when I started. I think YT were pushing my videos to people who weren't interested in my channel's football niche, hence why the many viewers swiping away. But this will improve over time as YT establishes your key target audience who enjoy your channel's niche. Thanks! Great observation. Interestingly, those types of videos with low swipe rate don't take off like other videos. However the zidane video randomly spiked in views a few weeks after upload so it can be really unpredictable tbh.

Even after appealing no diference, just when I had started getting a consistent 10K views a video. Don't get me wrong, i encourage you all to start a channel and grow it, i will probably retry. Can someone please explain to me how youtube isnt luck. Cause i have seen a lot of videos where they have millions of views and the first 5 seconds are so boring. Not just that the like ratio shows people dont even watch it cause you can see a million views and 10k likes with 100 comments. That is why i say it is luck because youtube chooses if they will make your video viral or not
I thought this too at the beginning. My videos were stuck on 0 views and I knew they had potential to gain more views then other basic videos in the same niche. But after continuous trial and error I realised it’s much more than just luck. Firstly you need to understand the algorithm and what type of content goes viral, then you need to post videos consistently even if no one is watching them. Having one video viral may be considered lucky, but posting consecutive viral videos definitely isn’t. It is a numbers game, and even now I am learning more and more about the shorts algorithm because it is constantly changing. If you really want to succeed and do whatever it takes to go viral, you will make it happen. No luck is required.

Greta news! Usually viral videos shoot off straight away but in some cases they can gain traction and go viral weeks later. Yes most stopped at a few thousand and never went viral.

Yes, there is potential for those videos to go viral later down the track but it is super important that your newer uploads gain views for this to happen. Yes that can be possible, in my experience shorts can start off with low views but randomly spike in views and go viral weeks or months after uploading.

Hey Nick i just started a channel like you and it got Banned because of spam! RUclips said i made content like many other channels and thats the reason? I made it similar to your football Videos. Did they ever say something like this to you? Dont know what i did wrong 😢

Hi I'm sorry to hear that. I have never had this happen to my football channel but have had channels removed in the past. Best thing to do is contact RUclips to resolve this asap

@@kuyakim4499 you need to hit the views within 90 days but you can achieve this at any time during your yt channel. It does not need to be met in the first 3 months of your channels creation/inception

Hey! Another question big bro, My shorts usually get 10-12k views but in some shorts my views are only 40-100 With 75%+ swipe rate and not so good with Retention ( 50-60% )
and according to you swipe rate is more important than retention does that mean that those shorts of mine will get more views after some days ( 20-30 days ) or they are just flop?
and if they will get views after some days then does this means that shorts in which you get lower views initially will perform well at long term? 🤔

Yes, there is potential for those videos to go viral later down the track but it is super important that your newer uploads gain views for this to happen. Yes that can be possible, in my experience shorts can start off with low views but randomly spike in views and go viral weeks or months after uploading.
People say that growing on RUclips shorts is easy but is actually not I just think is luck:/
