It was his job, if you guys go back into that episode where Dazai punches Akutagawa he had that behavior with everyone else, every one of his servants (ik servants isn't the exact world but I forgot the word rn, but you can understand what I mean) received a treatment like that, Dazai at that moment said something like "god all my servants are this stupid?" (Since if I remember correctly in that episode in a part we can see that Dazai was doing an autopsy on the body of a mimic member, his servants couldn't understand why was he doing that, after all, they all thought "this is the mafia, our job is to kill people, not investigate stuff like a detective" (between the ones who thought that there was Akutagawa, that went as far as to "complain" in a way to Dazai for him being adamant in making an investigation of some short) then Dazai said that to correct them and he emphasized the importance of investigation/knowledge and such. Dazai treated all his subordinates (that was the world I was looking for instead of "servant") that way, even more with Akutagawa as he was his mentor and Akutagawa wasn't a lowly grunt. i loved how you portrayed the ADA in this! sure, dazai was a victim and child as well, but he was in the wrong for what he did. this really showed how they acknowledge that, which i personally loved! keep up the great work ^^

@@atsushisgirlfriend I have seen that a lot, the hypocrisy of forgiving Akutagawa and blaming Dazai, and I agree I think that both of them deserve a second chance since they showed change (Akutagawa in that scene were he talks with Kyouka after encountering her again after she left the mafia, were he lets her know he's happy for her and let's her go easy, and Dazai well with Atsushi, the ADA and when he patted Akutagawa after the Moby d!ck incident), but that not our choice as I said, the only ones with the right to forgive them are the affected, they're the ones who suffered, not us, I wish everyone could give each other another chance and live happily (except for Mori lol).

I really like how you portrayed them! I saw someone say they ‘act as if dazai can go back and change it’ but honestly if someone’s done something bad in the past and they don’t understand that it was bad (like dazai in the video) then you should teach them that it was the wrong thing to do, even if they can’t change it now. Although dazai kinda CAN change it now with how he treats akutagawa (cuz he still acts that way even though he’s in the ada with that “my new apprentice is way better than you” scene)
I love how you actually made the Agency hold Dazai accountable! Plus the line where he questioned whether or not what he'd done was actually abuse; he definitely recognizes that he treated Akutagawa poorly but I don't think such an extreme term really ever registered with him. I would definitely explain that he learned his method of "teaching" through what he experienced with Mori when he was also a child, but everything so far has been very in-character! Thoroughly enjoyed this and very excited for part 2.
i love when thé ada acknowledge what he did was wrong and tell him straight up. my guilty pleasure in dazai reactions are when he doesn’t even realize what he does is wrong. i’m kind of glad they don’t immediately feel bad for him because i lowkey like seeing my favorite characters suffer (so i can feel bad for them even more lmao)

As far as I know he officially joined after Mori made him a witness (otherwise the Mafia wouldn't know him and don't believe Mori has a witness and Mori even told him before that he would find a way for dazai to die aka bringing him into the Mafia). While the whole thing with chuuya was going on he wasn't an executive (I think) but still moris right hand so he had control and was feared but nothing official. Then at around 15 (and a half maybe, I think shortly after the whole chuuya thing) he got promoted to executive. :)

I love Dazai, of course, but even now I feel angry at his bad treatment of Agatgawa. Sometimes I feel like I have to think if I were in his place and how I would feel.

1:12 I know you probably didn’t intend for this comment to be offensive, but I did want to comment on it since it’s a large problem in the community. Dazai is a character who canonically has substance abuse problems and bouts of depression. With these two extremely hard problems, both cause a lot of people to struggle with hygenics, including taking a shower. This isn’t aimed to be rude, but I hope you can see why this rubs me the wrong way. A lot of people struggle with even mundane things like this, and it’s pretty gross to say that to a character who canonically has mental health problems. This goes for any person who says these kinds of things by the way, including jokes about Jouno being blind, or perhaps Kunikida’s arms, are just a symptom of prejudice. Again, this isn’t meant to demean you or anyone who thinks like this, but simply a call to think about your words before writing or saying them. I did enjoy the video other than that, I thought it was good and had a layer of suspense to it, even as someone who hasn’t read the light novels.
I'm honestly accustomed to people just saying comments about bad hygiene, I have a really bad hygiene which I know it's disgusting (I personally wash Wednesday and Sunday, and sometimes only in Sunday), it's painful for me to be standing in the shower for some time because of my back (I'm about to have a scoliosis I think is called? Idk my mom knows the name), and I have trouble breathing, but I'm old enough to wash myself and I don't want my mom to wash me, but it's painful the effort I have to make to wash myself, also the motivation, the days/weeks are so hard that I don't even have the motivation to eat (I also have trouble eating but because of the pressure from my doctor and my mom I'm starting to change that), much less to wash myself, I just lie down in the floor or in my bed and wish for the day to end or for me to d!e in my sleep. As you can see washing myself is the least of my worries, but I do try as I KNOW IT'S DISGUSTING FOR EVERYONE (myself included, I don't like the feeling of dirt in my body but I don't have the mental energy to clean myself, so I slowly have grown accustomed to the dirt), I understand people's disgust so I don't feel bad when people make comments about hygiene (obviously pointed at me), but it's nice to see someone that understands, I don't know if you have experienced it personally but I hope not, I wish you the best, have a great day/night sir/miss!

I love how you actually made the Agency hold Dazai accountable! Plus the line where he questioned whether or not what he'd done was actually abuse; he definitely recognizes that he treated Akutagawa poorly but I don't think such an extreme term really ever registered with him. I would definitely explain that he learned his method of "teaching" through what he experienced with Mori when he was also a child, but everything so far has been very in-character! Thoroughly enjoyed this and very excited for part 2.
i love when thé ada acknowledge what he did was wrong and tell him straight up. my guilty pleasure in dazai reactions are when he doesn’t even realize what he does is wrong.

As far as I know he officially joined after Mori made him a witness (otherwise the Mafia wouldn't know him and don't believe Mori has a witness and Mori even told him before that he would find a way for dazai to die aka bringing him into the Mafia). While the whole thing with chuuya was going on he wasn't an executive (I think) but still moris right hand so he had control and was feared but nothing official. Then at around 15 (and a half maybe, I think shortly after the whole chuuya thing) he got promoted to executive. :)

Ignore the hate comments they just wanted your video to be a Dazai pity party. The way they acknowledged that what he did was unacceptable was realistic and the fact that Dazai refuses to acknowledge Akutugawa because he’s a reminder of his past mistakes.

I speak for me, but being I don't want a reaction video of either a Dazai pity party nor one of a "Judgement on Dazai party" like they are NOBODY to either forgive Dazai for his mistakes (that is a right only for the affected for his mistakes), nor to judge him, as they are humans with flaws like anyone, and they're not perfect to be complaining about someone's mistakes specially when they are unaffected by them.
The best way to approach this kinds of situations aren't either a conversation overly sweet forgiving or justifying any of his mistakes, nor a big nagging for his mistakes. The BEST way is and HONEST and SERIOUS talk, to try to see everything in ALL of the perspectives, all the thoughts and feelings behind each action behind all parties (the way both Dazai and Akutagawa behave is for a reason, same with all of the other characters, you can't blame Dazai for everything then leave Akutagawa out of blame when he abuses Kyouka, nor you can blame Akutagawa for abusing Kyouka and leave Dazai out of the hook), share their own thoughts based on their own experiences and ideologies, and then come with a conclusion. The past it's the past, what's done it's done, they can take this as a lesson for the present and future, for all their lives, to try to stop any kind of wrongdoings like these (like Kyouka's case, or Atsushi, or Akutagawa, or Yosano, or Dazai, or Chuuya etc), like in real life it happens with every kind of case on child abuse, r@pings, femicides, murders, gender violence, racism, homophobia, xenophobia, etc.
They can only use this as a learning experience, to get a some self construction, to rethink all their ideas and actions through all their lives, of them and people they have met in it.

I know you probably didn’t intend for this comment to be offensive, but I did want to comment on it since it’s a large problem in the community.
Dazai is a character who canonically has substance abuse problems and bouts of depression. With these two extremely hard problems, both cause a lot of people to struggle with hygenics, including taking a shower.
This isn’t aimed to be rude, but I hope you can see why this rubs me the wrong way. A lot of people struggle with even mundane things like this, and it’s pretty gross to say that to a character who canonically has mental health problems.
This goes for any person who says these kinds of things by the way, including jokes about Jouno being blind, or perhaps Kunikida’s arms, are just a symptom of prejudice.
Again, this isn’t meant to demean you or anyone who thinks like this, but simply a call to think about your words before writing or saying them.
I did enjoy the video other than that, I thought it was good and had a layer of suspense to it, even as someone who hasn’t read the light novels.

I'm honestly accustomed to people just saying comments about bad hygiene, I have a really bad hygiene which I know it's disgusting (I personally wash Wednesday and Sunday, and sometimes only in Sunday), it's painful for me to be standing in the shower for some time because of my back (I'm about to have a scoliosis I think is called? Idk my mom knows the name), and I have trouble breathing, but I'm old enough to wash myself and I don't want my mom to wash me, but it's painful the effort I have to make to wash myself, also the motivation, the days/weeks are so hard that I don't even have the motivation to eat (I also have trouble eating but because of the pressure from my doctor and my mom I'm starting to change that), much less to wash myself, I just lie down in the floor or in my bed and wish for the day to end or for me to d!e in my sleep. As you can see washing myself is the least of my worries, but I do try as I KNOW IT'S DISGUSTING FOR EVERYONE (myself included, I don't like the feeling of dirt in my body but I don't have the mental energy to clean myself, so I slowly have grown accustomed to the dirt), I understand people's disgust so I don't feel bad when people make comments about hygiene (obviously pointed at me), but it's nice to see someone that understands, I don't know if you have experienced it personally but I hope not, I wish you the best, have a great day/night sir/miss!
