Uratha were born naturally so they have deeper connection with shadow . but in past no one see difference. but after sundering ferals forget their origins. best example are Wargr . they are pseudo Uratha without war form and auspices.They were created by one of Firstborns when Father Wolf weken .they need more Uratha to keep at last little bit of order. so he created weaker werewolfs.but later he dies or slumber. and Wargr forget their purpose. but spirits serving Firstborn still create new wargr.firstborn give them only loose instructions who willbe fitting. so 5 year children or some grandpa can fitting in spirit opinion.Some Ferals were created after sundering :Weredogs (Maerans)and Wereleopards(Bagherash) sencond one lore tells than where snake demons (hosts?) were not to nice to mumans one women have romance with 2 leopards and create Bagherash to defend Humanity(souds like some crazy ritual for me)in my opinion Bagherash are spirit slayers. they like stealh .so they work like Bone shadows Irakka . eliminating malevolent spirits, magath but also hosts or claimed if they need. (Book give wery little details about them)in my opinion they must be prepared for anything.they prefered to work alone . but they dont have problem with looking for help. and anyone is good enough . another Bagherash o other Feral seeing spirits. some Hunters, Mage pack of Uratha , some Ulgan.anyone with some abilities is good enough.if they dont listen or dont want help Wereleopard will not waste time forthem .his job is more important.
this is SO COOL, the hosts would be great antagonist for a mystery/horror-y type of game. it's always fun to play some supernatural being like werewolf or vampire but even they have things to just be viscerally afraid of (hello, ocean hotel in vtm:bloodlines). adds some unexpected (and often unwanted by the character in question) humanity to the monstrous player characters.
Pawel! We agree, Hosts make amazing antagonists across the entire Chronicles of Darkness line! There is just something so primal, so embedded in our DNA, of the danger of animals used by Hosts. No matter how gangsta you think you are, that all stops when snakes start pouring out of the skin-suit of your enemy!
With each host getting their own video, this is going to be a hell of a good series. Another series on the pure and Bale Hound would also be really cool.

I was a little disappointed in sparsity of info on the Pure, but I guess a lot of the lore from 1e carries over into 2e.
Question, what if a host met a kindred/lost/awaken/promeathian(created)/primorthial/vigil/thaumutarge/whatever else you can play in CofD 2e? how will they interact, I see kindreds being so cautious/curious, lost being paranoid, and awakens being amazed/curious, the rest have no idea, and how will the host react to them?
Awesome question! It really depends on the type of Host and what current stage they are at in their life-cycle, Ky! For example, at their base stage, they run and hide until they get stronger. However, (as a general assessment) once strong, if anyone tries to interrupt their work, they're going to have a pretty bad time - no matter what supernatural they are. Due to the individual powers of certain hosts, some can be easily mistaken for other supernaturals. They are also incredibly powerful, as they take on werewolves for fun, so of the above, think about how they would fend off from a pack of werewolves - but it's one creature (composed of many, many smaller creatures)!
@@TheBotchPit I love to look at the CofD setting as one big world that any supernatural or mortal may run into another kind of supernatural, it's amazing to think of how will they work togather or against each others, that's why I love the idea of the contigiont chronicle book, too bad they didn't continue pass ep10, but still I'd love to see more cross supernaturals fuctions where they try to keep the secrisy of their existence and fight other monesters that can't be reasoned with like hosts, shadow owls that I always forget their name(lynax?), heros, hunters(even though I like hunters in HtV)

Nice job, I was never a fan of WtA but WtF changed my mind about the werewolves(still VtR is way way better than WtF, I just freaking love them), but this thing takes it on a whole new level, I like the creepy/mysterious vibe of these creatures and the idea of nit knowing who are what you against 100%, it would be a great shock for your players to know that they were working for a host who took over their master all along(or till halfway through the story), and before you make the kinds of host video, my favorite is the spider ones, it's creepy but not dirty or disgusting + just for the kind of it(I can't help but imagin a werespider human with spider features waifu thing, it's up there with nymphs and succubi).
The Azlu will be the first host video that we do following this overview! They are also my favorite as well. It's funny, I've (Nick) personally never been fond of many supernatural "player" creatures from the books, but the antagonists really, really make up for that. The rogues gallery is a huge part of the books, and often don't get enough love because nobody wants to (often) play the main characters. This series (and many more like it to come) are aimed at analyzing antagonists in books people may not have initially picked up due to this!

@@TheBotchPit great, they remind me of elis the spider queen from league of legends, I loved that game but my internet sucks so I had to stop playing(the story of my unlife!, league, tera, the elder scrolls online, why is it too much fun and yet the most inconvienent), but I think they are better that elis because now there are a lot of them! Azlu is a great name btw, it feel ancient, maybe they have ancient egyption orgin(their name sounds like it), if that so they should've ran into the khabit from clan mekhet or the orginal clam because that where they came from, maybe some have relations and plots with them that're been there for over 6,000 years! imagin the possiblities!

I've always loved werewolves, sadly never got to play werewolf due to other friends lack of interest. Beyond that gotta say I love the sound of hosts.
