Jesus gave me this song to listen to, a good reminder that we can always lean on Him
I'm not ashamed to say that this song makes me cry cuz it's heartfelt because when you have a problem and there's nobody else to help you with that problem there's one person who will never turn his back to you where is Jesus himself he'll always be beside you no matter what you can turn to him and he will comfort you through the storm

This song reminds me of all the people who have come into and gone out of my life. All the important life lessons I've learnt, and yet it all tells me one thing: You can't go through life alone. It's impossible. You always need someone to lean on.
My music teacher loved this song. It was his favourite. Then he left, so I organised that the choir sing this song in his last school assembly. When we sang it some of the teachers cried, and I was welling up. The music teacher was crying too. It felt incredible.

Most people don't realize it, but the songs from the past are the best types of songs than what we have today. I'm only thirteen years old, and songs from before I was born are the songs that I absolutely love. The songs show so Mich emotion, and I can just feel it. Most of the songs now are not appropriate, and I barely listen to it. These songs however, are the types of songs that each my soul, and make me remember what being a kid and being free felt like. It makes me dream of a brighter future, ams a happier time before war. I love this song.

I remember back at a summer camp when I was about 12-13 years old a bunch of the camp groups including mine were waiting to go into the kitchen for supper and a bunch of us were taking turns playing around with the piano. Well, when it was my turn I got on the piano and started playing this, and soon everyone was singing along! They let me keep playing it and continued singing until we were called in for dinner! One of my best summer camp memories ever!

so a little bit a ago, a baby was born. His name was Christopher Duffley. He was born blind and premature. He also had Autism. Later on in his life he and his family realized he had an amazing talent for singing. I never really got to know him, but I went to school with him just two or three years ago. He now goes around and he's bn in different states singing in choirs and organization type thingies to support Autism. He is now 14.
This song makes me emotional because it was the exact same song Christopher had sang to my whole school on Wednesday, December 23rd 2015 to honor the retirement of our gym teacher, Mrs Johnson, who had been working there at Northwest for 22 years.
Christopher's singing was so pitched perfectly and heartfelt I was about to cry. So many other people were crying around me. I was standing only three feet away from Christopher when he sang. His voice was amazing.
a few hours later, I went to Google him. Maybe I could learn a bit about him, I thought. I came across his RUclips channel called Christopher Duffley. Nearly 15,000 subscribers. I watched almost all of the videos of his. I was so inspired by him. He went through so much, and was still successful because of how hard he works. When I saw this song I started singing it, remembering how he poured his heart into singing it. I started crying, singing, and it was just so inspiring. I advise you to look at his channel. I listened to this on what we call natures classroom, it is 5th grade thing in some schools in New York where you go for three day and two nights in a hotel room and you can bunk with your friends. We did this thing at night were we all sang along, this was the last song we did. I remember the teachers expressions of this song and the kids, I loved it. For those who stated that this song was released in 2009...I hate to burst your bubble. Bill Withers released it in 1972. Loved it in high school, and love it more now because the lyrics simply hit home. Song of the soul. Peace.
This longer version is so much better then the "radio" two minute version, the ending in particular.
