There is a little door in the left front wheel housing liner's front section (MK7 GTE). What is that for? Could it provide access to replacing the pump or do I need to take off the full liner?
Possibly for fog light access? Mk6 that was the case anyway. Regardless I’d pull the whole liner for easier access, but then again I’ve never seen under a GTE
Hi my car washer pump motor didnt work, i replaced it, but my controls are inverted. So control for front wash does rear and control for rear does front, any idea?
I’d disconnect the fluid hose from the pump & the nozzles (under the hood) and blow the line out with compressed air. Sound like you’ve got a clogged or cracked line
Thanks, I was about to pull the bumper cover and headlight to work on the reservoir (VW manual procedure), this is much better.
Glad I could help!
Thanks .. Can you help share the part number and would u know if it’s compatible with a golf R as the washer tank is at a different location

Does the washer pump run on a fuse? I’ve seen yes and no. If so can you tell me where it’s located? Wipers work. No pump noise.
No individual fuse for the washer pump, I believe it’s can bus off a control module
So if there’s no action the pump is definitely bad then?

You probably switched the lines on the pump
@BaunPerformance I tried reversing them and something even more odd happened. Both stalk controls do rear washer.
My problem os it works for my back windows but only a little bit trickles out the front nozzles
