Hot fuzz is not just 2 random words slapped together because they sound cool... It's slang for the police. Ever since we were kids (over 20 years ago) I have heard it used and used it myself. I think it comes from Hawaii 5-0 which got contracted to just 5-0 then that turned into Fuzz... Where the hot part comes from I'm not sure, I'm not an etymologist. But Hot Fuzz as been around long before this movie.

Samson the German Shepard was called Saxon in the movie was only explained you with only one reason on why the name change but there's actually one more. They changed it from Samson to Saxon was to pay homage to the name of Anglo-Saxon where modern England was built on the basis of Saxons from the Germanic tribe of the 500AD before they were conquered by the Normans in 1066 and coincidentally, Samson was a German Shepard thus, "Saxon".

Another fact, although not necessarily about this film, is that Oscar Wright (brother of Edgar, artist for Danny's flipbook and DVD collection provider) also drew all the comic book sequences for _Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World_

Is Wells smaller than either St.David's or St.Asaph's both cities in Wales. I had always been told that St.David's was the smallest city in UK.

The headline, “Short Arm of the Law” is a laugh. In the old days, “short arm” inspections was, in the male dominated US military, ventral disease exams. The shirt arm was, you guessed it!

I mean, it might be because it’s set in my home town but like, it’s pretty great

Sandford may be the name given to a village used in police training, but here in Somerset there is a real village called Sandford. It lies between Banwell and Churchill a few miles from Weston Super (night) Mare. So it's about 10-15 miles away from Wells. Love the film though.

10:29 I'm going out on a limb here and I think/I'm Sure that this supermarket is the same one as the one they assault as a team in the film. I've looked a pic from the short vid and compared them to the film and they look pretty similar.
