You'd be shocked to realize how many ppl actually use this list lol. I downloaded the pdf file. And alot of ppl I know did too. I use DC Audio and Full Tilt, that are both at top of the list!👏 this was a great idea man!
i have temco 2/0 and knuconcepts 1/0 they are very close in size.. 2 years no problems at all no oxidizing on the copper from temco ,,knuconcepts is tinned awsome wire i recomend both of them.
I've been wondering about that Connext wire? I saw it on Amazon for a similar price to the install gear ofc. I went with the Full Tilt tho cuz I wasn't sure. So shout out to you for adding it!👏
The shinny jacket looks remindsme of walmart CCA. Lookes like plastic, I remain fond of skyhighs OFC or knukonceptz but yo, the selection we have is just freaking awesome! Excellent addition to the list hifi
I use sky high ofc it’s thick just not tinned it’s fair priced inmo 2/0 sky high or 4/0 welding are similar on my main run than I’ll drop too 0 going into amps.
The real world info is what's great here. You and Derek both put it out there and I say thank you. I'm a fan of Knukonceptz and plan to stick with their wire. Customer service sells and they've been great with the very few issues I've had with product.
That connext brand is aluminum and copper mixed idc what it says I pulled some of that shit out of a friend's boat after 6 months and it had the tell tale symptoms of aluminum whit powder bad connections everywhere the copper color came off it's like rockville it's a 50/50 mix of aluminum and copper strands

@Budget Audio with J awesome its really the only amp kits I been looking at. Jus don't know if I'd need really flexible wire or not. Jus heard it's a pain running 1/0 wire in the 5th gen rams jus tight in the wire race way. Which sure all 1/0 wire is close to same diameter

@@OriginalWiswelding cable is best for alternator to battery. Grounds from battery to car body. If you’re running a secondary battery to the back use welding cable. Great video, although I don't think I'll ever go that big!!! I'm running 4ga. Street wires in my Honda that's 27 years old!!! I'm too lazy to upgrade it!😂😂😂
Hey Hifivega, are you still looking for wire samples? I have a 40 ft. spool of 4/0 welding cable. I wound up not using it for my install because it was too much of PIA to run in my Legacy GT. I was bareley able to get the 1/0 OFC audio cable properly and neatly from front to back. I'm not sure if you had any 4/0 in your collection? I'd be happy to send you samples, let me know what lengths you would need. Measured with my caliper it is 18.6mm o/d with the insulation (which is on the thinner side, this stuff is like 95% copper and heavy af!) send me your email and shipping adress if you are interested. (I have pics i can email with the calipers on it too) I'm about 80% done with my new install that id like to share with you also. I've been out of the car audio game since the mid 2000's when I was in my 20's and an installer as well. I havnt had more than a nice navi head unit in my cars in 15+ years! i stumbled across a few of yours and Derek W's vids about 2 months ago, and saw how crazy and cheap car audio has become! Fast forward a few weeks and Amazon packages started showing up every day as I pieced together a full 2500 watt system for less than $1k!! Crazy , because back in '99 just my ZR1000 cost almost double that by itself!! (i want another one now for nostalgia, maybe you or derek can help me find one?) I'll share pics and details via email. I hope to hear from you! thanks, Phil

I really enjoy these kinds of videos. Kind of reminds me of Project Farm vids. Great for consumers to make an informed buy from.
I love wire man what can I say lol

Thanks! Knu really is solid wire
FYI: Belva CCA wire is 30% copper not the 10% copper like most brands and no more expensive. CCA is fine for speaker wire, especially 14 gauge.
I wonder if the most flexible wire would have the most flexible payments. 🤔
Depends on how flexible your wallet is 😉

Lol

down for sound has several plans
What about recoil 1/0 ofc??? Thanks in advance. 😊
I was looking 👀 at there interconnects today, and was thinking the same thing, it would be nice to see some comparisons with Recoil 😃
I bought the temco welding wire because of this list. I bought 1/0 not 0 should that be enough for 2000 watts rms? They couldn't tell me 🤷♂️

Thanks for the heads up! Yeah Stinger was very close to 1/0 awg standard
The windy nation was great 2 years ago. I got the 2/0 for a little less then half the price you paid for the 1/0. Now the price is just ridiculous.
So stinger is no good at all aa ? They recommended to used whit dsp audio control d-4.800 when I bought it.
Stinger wire is great. It’s very flexible and is true to awg standard it’s just not oversized
Seems like good 1/0 wire, but I myself get GP audio wire, seems to work for me and been using it for years,

I feel like tinned wire is the way to go for every application

I been trying to find out if the conext link 2 gauge wire is true 2 gauge would love to see the 2 gauge shootout
I would assume that it is since the 1/0 is as advertised
It's too bad DC raised the price of theirs almost 30%. I feel like it was the gem, luckily I still have some left but I'll need a new go-to soon
Yeah I believe the DC wire is rebranded Skyhigh wire and they raised their price so it kinda makes sense
@@HifiVega it claims more strands than sky high
I'm seeing Rockville brand 1/0 wire a lot in my searches lately. Do you think that brand is any good?
Haven’t had a chance to get my hands on it yet, but is it OFC?
