Even though this looks like a visual novel, I still plan on getting this, if anything at least for the amazing soundtrack. I just hope it's still coming west.

The game's set in the 1980s so he's probably just a punk, not a Jojo reference...
Precisely this hairstyle is called the “elephant trunk” popular in the 50s. The barber would even use a hardened tube-like wig to give support of the trunk.

I guess the mystery continues as to what this game is. They are pitching it and we don't even know what genre it is.
I’ve heard it’s being called a “dynamic adventure game” whatever that means. Some people claim that means it’s a point and click adventure game, akin to a visual novel with a bit of character movement and choices. Don’t know, but the art style is awesome and the music so far is too, so it could be good regardless of genre. Vanillaware is the one company I’ll just throw my money at, so it’s both a blessing and a curse that they have so few games.
Don't let this distract you that we haven't seen anything from SMTV

Actually, I think in 2nd trailer, it's been showed (even for a brief moment) what the gameplay will be (besides from the VN like part, I mean). So I think it will be like a crossover between VN type of game, and a strategy game...

I’ve heard that it’s being called a “dynamic adventure game”. People say that means it’s a point and click adventure game where you can move characters and make choices, but in that case it would be akin to a visual novel. Not sure if that’s true, but they’ve so far neglected to show any gameplay to prove the contrary. They might have “mini games” like I’ve heard some visual novels have, like a segment with what could be called gameplay. Or it could actually have some form of action or tactical rpg mechanics; who knows? But the widespread gossip is that it’s an adventure visual novel.
I start to think the same... may be will see a visual novel. That will be good? that will be bad? We will know when the times come.

個人的に三時間プレイできてセーブデータが引き継ぎ出来ないとなると、新しく始める場合に三時間もう一度プレイするほうが面倒だな
Looks like a “Ground Zeroes”-like prologue is coming out with bundled extras like an artbook, drama cd, ps4 theme and avatars so the main game may be awhile away. :( Well, Phantom Pain was that good so it might be worth the wait. I’ll wait patiently for your new masterpiece, Mr Kamitani! It looks like the digital version of the prologue will be bundled with upcoming budget versions of Odin Sphere L and Dragon’s Crown Pro. Minus the physical extras. There is a digital download version with prologue, the ps4 theme and avatars only too. Playtime is 3 hours. Save cannot be transferred to the main game. :/
Can we please stop talking about Persona when the video is a different game? While I love Megaten, I also love Vanllaware games. Who is the artist who's working on this?
The artist is George Kamitani. He's also the founder of Vanillaware and the director of all the games from the studio.

@Prodigy Not really getting "triggers" of it.Just tried of seeing Persona all the time on videos that are a completely different IP. Of course Persona is a big IP but, me complaining that there's too many comments about Persona is not something I consider wrong to do. But, this happens to a lot of videos on different channels so, yeah a bit pointless for me to bring attention to it.

The Vita port was cancelled, there were no news for like a year, and now they're selling the demo apparently.

So Japan is getting this Collector's Edition, and according to the Official Wiki, a Demo for the game in March. But no information regarding Either these things for the Rest of the World! I know Atlus wants to bring this game to the West, i just wish they'd Talk about it! (Or do at least 1 English Trailer!) Well, theres Always E3!

love Vanillaware and i been wanting this game since it was first announced so really wanting to see even more on this
but my only thing is the fact that the vita version ain't happening and i really wanted the vita version but yeah vita pretty much getting killed off and all aint much can do about that but would be nice if this would come switch would also love to see the other Vanillaware games to show up on switch as well would buy again (love handhelds) but yeah am looking forward to see more of this game

ifurkend 女神転生も十三機兵も開発が伸びているので進捗管理が出来てないんでしょうね。
昔のアトラスの悪い癖が出始めてますわ。
体験版ちょっとだけやったけど、雰囲気は凄くいい感じ。出たら、絶対買う。
気になる点としては、キャラクターが会話中、棒立ち気味だと思った。
あと、部屋に入る際に、ドアを開け閉めする動作がなく、この学校には自動ドアが完備されてるのかな？ と思った。
予算の関係で、細かい部分の作り込みができなかったのかも。

I bought both dragon's crown(PS3/PS4) and odin's sphere, now you told me to pay for this thing or themes...?
In japan they release a demo that costs money and if you buy these games, you also get the demo and stuff. It's really pretty weird, a bit like what Konami did with Metal Gear back then, releaseing a prologue which was actually a demo and let people pay again for the whole game. Not really the smartest business decision but it seems Vanillaware just took too long for 13 Sentinels so Atlus wants to start making money now at all costs. I just don't get why they don't release the game on other platforms if they are so desperate to make more money.
@@valeriacaissa4552 they just don't have enough employees to create more titles or release on other platforms. Vanillaware annouces a new one every 2~3 years on the most occupied console, now it is PS4, and the upcoming one maybe NS. It depends on if NS is still hot at 2020 or PS5 is released.
I think you have a point with the manpower. I am pretty sure that is an issue but I can't see it being a main issue. They did make PSP and PS Vita titles and the architecture is pretty different from PS3 and PS4. So they know how to port a game from one platform to another, that's not that new to them. Also with the modern architecture of the current generation, porting is a lot easier then it was in the last generation. That aside, it was always good for Vanillware to have both the handheld and console to sell their stuff, now it's just the console. Granted it is the biggest platform from the numbers and it makes sense to release your stuff there but exclusively? If you have a contract with Sony sure, why not? But I doubt that is the case here and that makes it problematic especially if you have a situation like this where Vanillaware takes a very long time to release their game. Even SEGA had to learn that their strategy with Valkyria Chronicles was counterproductive and now you have the first game and the newest on a more platforms platforms, securing that you reach break-even.

I already have. I’ve gotten Odin Sphere for the PS3 and then I found and bought the collectors edition for the PS4. Plus I got Dragon’s Crown for the PS3 and the pro version for the PS4. And Muramasa for the wii and Rebirth for the vita. I just find the Vanillaware games too aesthetically pleasing. I really wish they sold the art books in America. Apparently people are saying 13 Sentinels is going to be essentially an adventure visual novel in which you move the characters and I’d assume you make choices with the different characters to progress the plot. They still haven’t shown any definitive proof of this to my knowledge, but I’d still be down for a Vanillaware visual novel. Just give me a dang art book while you’re at it.
