No, it makes sense. Christ and his followers also believed that being mute was a result of demonic possession or action. The Bible also uses the term “dumb” to mean mute. The demon isn’t mute himself because he steals the voices of men, causing them to be mute.

Absolutely agree.. And he clearly says the way he made them mute (dumb) by smashing their heads as children. So this statement wasn't in reference to Envy making the 'dumb' intellectually challenged, but instead, how he caused them to become mute (dumb). I was surprised it was interpreted this way.. Even still, one "mistake" is easily dismissed considering the wealth of knowledge shared on this channel! Wonderful stuff! 😍

Well, this certainly was one of the most abstract mythical apparitions that I have ever had the pleasure of hearing about. I do not believe that any author in pop culture has ever portrayed this Cardinal Vice in such a vaguely awesome manner. Of course I would expect this Envy fit perfectly in a Hieronymus Bosch fresco or Rene Magritte painting.
When Envy says he takes the heads of "dumb men" could it mean "dumb" as in unable to speak? He does specifically mention having aquired the "voices" of many men and the "cries" of children.
Perhaps even taking the voices as in the will of the spirit of another as envy can do- not allowing others to shine and do what they can as ones own foolish pride tries to snuff out another's work and esteem. When he realizes he has had no use for it and acted out of jealousy but names it dumb. The cries of children are they're dreams and aspirations crushed and left voiceless as a grown child mocks the ones he would come to see to grow.
I think it's people who are afraid to be morally outraged and chose silence as a steady diet without spiritual guidance... Not that silence doesn't have a purpose too...
and is very wise in many instances but that they chose to turn away and turn a blind eye to evil as THIER Rule...not the Exception To The Rule. We are expected to say something feverish sometimes

One of the seven deadly sins. In today’s society, envy is the one sin that people don’t like to talk about. When I was in junior high school, I had a girlfriend. And one of my friends became very envious and tried to persuade me that girl I was in love with didn’t really care about me and he told me she was into him and not me. But I knew deep down that he was making it up.
How do you know he was envious? He was probably letting you know that your gf of high-school was entertaining the notion of cheating on you with one of your friends, pointing to himself.

I've been watching these in the series playlist and I've noticed a few possible understanding mistakes. The Demon "Elberion" mentioned by Envy is also called the morningstar. Lucifer was one of the first, if not the first, Angels also known as the morningstar. After giving the gift of knowledge to Humans and being cast from Heaven Lucifer is generally known as Satan or Baelzebub, Azazel and others which I can't remember at the moment. In the second video the Demon stated his father was an Angel and mother Human. When Solomon summoned the Prince of Demons he wouldn't reveal his son but stated he himself is an Angel, the only Angel to survive after the fall. All Demons answer to the highest Demon, Lucifer/Baelzebub, so with all of this information is it a bit of a jump to suggest the Demon Envy and the Seventh Sister is talking about is actually Baelzebub (aka Lucifer, Satan, etc) and not God. Also you seem to use spirit somewhat misleadingly as all beings have a spirit, Demons and Angels are just purer spirits and Humans are more like lesser spirits in comparison but all are/have spirits. Human spirits are trapped in a single form whereas Angels and Demons can alter their vessel somewhat. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the video. Just something to think about as I've scoured biblical sources to try and investigate the dichotomy of Lucifer and God/Satan and God/Lucifer and Satan/Satan and Hel/Satan and Hel and Hades, and others. Sorry its a bit long but I hope you get to read this, it might be helpful in future videos.
{edit} I almost forgot, at the beginning you stated Envy was too stupid to answer the question correctly when answering "I am a Demon". That in-and-of itself would be a more than sufficient answer to all people's of the time, given that if it was a true story and not Mythology, and answered completely honestly and intelligently in all subsequent questions. Again in regards to spirits, intelligence is in the being not appearance of the being. Although in stating this you may have already corrected this in further videos.

The Dalai Fox is correct: "dumb" is the archaic form of "mute" as in "deaf and dumb"- meaning that the muteness of some is due to Envy's theft- although "struck them" probably means a spiritual attack, as he is incorporeal, a fallen angelic life form whose representative form is that of a headless humanoid.

I think Envy's interpretation is simpler. Solomon is known for having a smart head on his shoulders, so Envy manifested himself as a stupid, headless demon to mock Solomon as well as introduce himself. When someone envies someone, they tend to take it for themselves. In this case, when Envy says he devours heads, it is a direct threat to Solomon that he will violently take Solomon's head for himself. When Solomon bound Envy, the demon became more forthright.
The plot of _The Headless Horseman_ (both book and movie) suddenly makes WAY more sense!
I have been binge watching this channel since the moment I discovered it! The only qualm I have is.. I really wish each video in every completed series, such as this Solomon arc, were put into one single full series compilation video to watch altogether in one EPIC upload! I bet that would get a TON of views and even new subs!! Pleeeeeeeeezzzz consider this 😁

Also, one compiled video removes the repeating intros/outros you get when watching each video from a Playlist.. that's just my preference and I've noticed that, lately, many YTer's have taken to putting out weekly or monthly compilations finding a lot of people prefer longer uploads.

The fire within Envy comes from the day star, aka the death star, aka the morning star, aka the one who fell and took a 3rd of the stars of heaven with him. He is their master and has the authority to give them powers or take them away. Envy is one of the fallen Angel's and his headless appearance is for a specific reason. In the ministry of deliverance we learned from gathering intelligence through interviews of demons like Solomon. A demon once confessed after being bound that he really hated Satan inside and that he did not like doing the things that he did but that he had no choice because he was completely subject to the powers of Satan. He said that once they got kicked out of heaven that their minds became completely wicked and that his appearance became the manifestation of his evil mind. He said he could no longer stand to look at himself and the hideous creature that he had become. People must understand that the reason why demons hate mankind so much is because #1.There is no Salvation for them but we have been given grace and mercy and not them. Hell is their fate period. #2. They will never get to enter heaven their former dwelling place again and we do.
After that visual, I'll never look at my neighbor's grass the same way again.

This is a pretty old video, and somebody has probably already pointed this out. But, for the sake of doing so, the term "dumb" was used to describe people who were "mute," making Envy's words about how he steals the voice of the dumb make more sense.
Just learned today that my own brother is envious of me; and he had been harboring hatred against me; learned it after reading EJ Tylers books about haters; damn I was so naive; that my own brother would not want me to succeed in life that he is happy for my misfortunes because of his envy and that I deserved it; I was a fool thinking that my greatest enemy was other people criticism without realizing that I have a bigger enemy and I grew up together with him; it just occurred to me because I was smarter and do well in school than hin; I thought his actions towards me was hust his personality and just what brothers do argue with each other all the time; hell was I wrong; there is a saying that goes “Your biggest fan is a stranger; and your biggest hater is someone you know.” I would have never thought it was referring to my own kin.

I have a story about somethin very similar
I woke one night because I felt eyes on me, when I turned my head I seen a women standing next to my bed, she had a nice petite body , long black hair , wearing somewhat white clothing and as my eyes went further up I noticed she actually did not have a head above her mouth . It existed so.ehow, somewhere, yet I was unable to perceive it, also the fact she had long black hair indicated she did, its asif that portion of her head was phased out of the 3 dimensions we typically experience some how.
I seen her, and I simply acknowledged her, turned my head to return to sleeping

The way I see it the desire to take heads is the desire to gain the status/looks/whatever of an enviable individual. e.g. If you are envious of a king, you may wish to take their head and appear as the king yourself. It is however the case that once Envy gets the head, it no longer desires it anymore, and therefore it is consumed.
