On Friday, the Ohio Supreme Court suspended the now-former magistrate, Michael Bachman, from practicing law for six months. The high court said Bachman, who resigned soon after the incident, had committed judicial misconduct. “Not only was Bachman’s jailing of (the woman) unauthorized under the contempt statute, but he exhibited a total disregard for the reason she was at the courthouse in the first place - to get a civil protection order,”
Yall know what the most dishonorable thing in this video is? Its that the police willingly went along with this total disregard to all of her civil rights. Disgraceful !
This same judge also not denied her previous protective order, but sentenced her to jail when she frustratedly slammed her fist down. Imagine coming back to court for a second go to get protection from domestic abuse to not only get denied a second time, but the first judge that denied you and sent you to jail, does it again... that’s abuse from a second man that you’re not in a relationship with. You’d lose faith in the system. And usually the second restraining order fails, then comes you being murdered by a boyfriend, ex, or husband. This is horrible.
It was like the woman a judge threw in jail because she was too frightened to show up in court as a witness against her husband. That judge got fired too.
I want to know why a Deputy didn't stop her and issue her a citation for disorderly conduct or interfering with court proceedings. Even if they would have just intervened and had her go outside and calm down, none of that would have happened. Judge was wrong, but so was the entire court house detail for letting it continue enough to get to that point.
She was out of ordee in the hallway. It took several deputies to handle her. And the one probably tried but you see how many it took to get her while she was fighting? Yeah the judge was out order and should sent the other deputies to see what the commotion was about.
@Holly Gonzalez but that wasn't at issue. The issue was the judge leaving the bench and THEN putting his hands on her like that. People causing hell in court will get handled....the judge needs to do his actual job.
She should have been released immediately. The story did not say anything about why she was there. She was a victim of domestic abuse and was trying to get a restraining order. I think the judge was absolutely right he took his job seriously and he was vindicated by her behaviour afterwards!
Can’t even have judges in Ohio
Yall know what the most dishonorable thing in this video is? Its that the police willingly went along with this total disregard to all of her civil rights. Disgraceful !
yep. reminds me of how kings just told their knights to behead people and they never questioned it.
I totally agree 💯
Civil rights? She is an American, her natural rights were run over by traitors to the USA republic.
If a judge tells a cop to arrest somebody they do it. Don’t really have a choice unless it’s actually going against their human rights.
Yep, and look at how the media in the video describes her, "she is still fussing around, it took three persons to hold her."
Uhhh that's the point.

Judge was wrong, but so was the entire court house detail for letting it continue enough to get to that point.
The other "court house detail" were not involved the judge was. You have to be a wise person to be a judge but this dude is a clown...HE LOST HIS JOB!
Because this didn’t happened inside the courtroom it was outside therefore it doesn’t stand
Greatly put.
