Jersey Wolfenbarger has gotten so much better & stronger. She could definitely be an X-Factor for LSU off the bench at 6”5. Then when they get Mjracle Sheppard back she’s going to be a big spark on both ends.
@ Lol I don’t want to disagree because I love smith & her offensive rebounding & she’s a lil more aggressive than jersey but I guess you can’t go wrong with either. I think once smith 100% trusts her knee/leg she will be a force.
#2 for Tulane was killing LSU all night long !!! She played the entire game, avoided getting fouls, and would throw 3's when she had the chance!! She was driving us crazy !!!
Mulkey has so many options on this team lol.. her deepest team ever. But I know as a coach that’s going to be hard. Even Jada Richard looks ready. If they can rebound better they definitely have a chance to go all the way amongst a couple of teams.
Tulane were killed in the paint. LSU won so many rebounds and had so many easy baskets whereas Tulane had to work hard for all their points. Tulane were wonderful and Keenan excellent with the 3 point shooting. She could not overcome her marker later in the game, but her team have spirit and they kept fighting. I suppose -for the future - Tulane need to somehow improve their defence.
Jersey looks like she can run that floor well on fast breaks..she just need to get comfortable and make her layups. She getting it though and moves well for her height
Gilbert defense can be trash, she doesn’t move her feet and I see what Coach Mulkey was talking about. She depends on her offense to make up for her lack of defense.
