I could listen to Kobe stories every day for the rest of my life.
Amen bro. Same.
caramel cat though..?
This is one of my favorite discussions about him since his passing.
Same brother
Me too. Its July now and I have peace in my heart listening to Kobe stories.. I could only imagine how it will be 10 years from now.. the dude lives on with all of us. Amazing how one man made a difference
Out of all the media, Cowherd always gave Kobe his due respect. I have been a big fan of Colin, but to see him choke up talking about Kobe made me a bigger one.
I hate nick wright...he always disresspect kobe
@@itsnotrhenlopez7626 you should see what he said today. He was honest that he never truly appreciated kobe until his death. He was super emotional and I think Nick now gets it.
@@uzah88 what video did he say that?
@@uzah88 i couldn't agree more, I think Nick finally realized that all that he said about Kobe, somewhere deep down he respected the guy and you can see like many of us we lost someone precious along with his shining bright star of a daughter, along with the others. Nick realized it when it was to late.
Khaleeq Sattaar El, II false, before Colin came to LA he did not stay up late to watch laker games n would only look at the stats. He did not know what he was talking about when it came to Kobe till then.
Yeah...Kobe is poetry. So beautiful, gentle and graceful. Legendary. Thanks, Mamba. We love you.
August 24 is officially national Kobe day
8/24
It already is in the city of LA
The day after his birthday
Your 4 years late
Alex Galvez stop. We never did this in LA city wide.
Chris must be a Terminator if he managed to not drop a tear, I cried a river in last 24h!
He’s a very religious man and he knows that death is part of life. Chris is a man’s man and very humble to him life is temporary and he is trained to handle this. Some people are so tight in their faith and this is just part of life to them because they hand inner piece due to their belief in a higher power. In his mind Kobe is in a better place.
Sulaiman Masood he’d be crying if it was bron
He dont really like Kobe
He‘s a professional, and it takes a lot. Think he‘s a legit class act.
@@GoatReactz truth
Kobe had a great Legacy, so sad GiGi never had her chance to live out hers, as well as the other young ladys* involved in the accident
Those poor families. Times like this you pray there is a Heaven. Those were little girls. And now kids left without one or both parents. It will shape the outcome of their lives forever. Hopefully not limiting them emotionally.
I truly believe his daughter would have been the first Kobe if the WNBA
he was the reason why I started playing basketball. I saw glimpses of MJ but I was too young, 32 atm, I watched Kobe, tried shooting like him, go double pump to the back of the rim, etc. As Chris said, Kobe was our Michael. And in the past years I watched a lot of his interviews about life and what he does now, books, coaching, the man was the purest inspiration for life and aspirations you can imagine. He is the greatest in my mind because of that.
First celebritie that died and it felt like a family member, even though he wasn't my player, but i knew he got game.
Didn't want this clip to end
My man! I'm with you bro watching these clips =*(
Me neither
Same. Even though it's sad, I can't stop watching stuff about Kobe
Kobe was unguardable. He could score on your whole team even while being the only option.
Not all the time
@@crapjuice470 don't be jealous man, of the greatest
Kobe is my Michael. He was my Idol and now he's gone. Very heartbreaking smh
It hurts bro. I feel the same way. #MambaMentality
Kobe was Kobe to me who cares about Michael, true Laker fans
I remembered when Kobe challenged 5 Kings players at the same time and scored an And-1.
2000 playoffs against the kings recorded them watched it on VHS tape recorded it been crying for 2 days !!!! Kobe is an icon
Kobe was my goat, closest thing I’ve ever seen to MJ. It still feels so surreal.
hector Vera I’m glad you said “my” goat
Rest in paradise, Kobe.
I should be working right now, I'm neck-deep in stuff due this semester, but I straight up can't do it. Feels like I lost someone close to me. Kobe's the reason why I started watching basketball, and I know I'm not the only one. He was my hero. Rest Easy Kobe, we miss you already
keep pushing bro, life goes on, gotta keep moving.
I honestly just left school early today I couldn't focus I really feel terrible
Most graceful ATHLETE EVVA. Kobe spirit will live for evva.
Like Jalen Rose said, "Jordan was the original, Kobe is the remix."
Remix baaaaby!
Kobe had a great first All-Star Game!
*He was outscoring Jordan through 3 quarters! George Karl didn't play him in the 4th quarter cause they thought this was Jordan's last all-star game and didn't want young boy to outshine MJ!*
@@sirf4ce Mj was schooling Kobe. So stop with the BS. R.i.pKB
Ain't nobody fukn wit Jordan. PERIOD! R.I.P KB
Brian Johnson MJ was schooling Kobe but honestly Kobe did very good and had his moments in the game.
@@brianjohnson3340 Nobody is taking anything from the Great one MJ. But Kobe deserve his shine. The media disrespected Kobe for years by putting LeBron over him. Michael knew, that's why he picked Kobe 5 over Lebron.
The truth is that Kobe was John Wick as basketball player
facts! He was a man of focus, commitment, and sheer will

Respect a legend R.I.P . GiGi Mamba. KoBe love you miss you. Vanessa my prayers are with you and your family..
Love you kobe 💛💜💛💜💛💜
Kobe was the most heavily scrutinized and criticized superstar in the NBA. But he was always the most relentless guy on the court, he was unbreakable, tough as nails and always played through injuries. He was unphased by pressure. I always remember when Matt Barnes ball checked Kobe on an inbound pass and Kobe didnt even flinch. That's why I respected Kobe, and it's also why I find this news so shocking, because of Kobe's unbreakable personality. It's hard to believe that such an unbreakable guy like Kobe could pass away so early in life...
I would disagree only because I think Allen Iverson was scrutinized more overall.
The hardcore Kobe fans like us gave him so much love we helped create the haters. They watched him win and style on everyone. Id have been a hater too if my team was getting torched effortlessly lol
Bill Clay I respect and understand where you’re coming from. But I think lebron is more scrutinized. He’s always under the microscope and his comparison and debate between him and Jordan makes him extremely scrutinized
@@whales312 the debate between lebron and Jordan was first a debate between Kobe and Jordan. Most of the things Lebron has gone thru Kobe went thru first. I heavily respect Lebron but Kobe paved the path for him. Without Kobe there is likely no Lebron. Well, not the Lebron we know today. I would say Lebron is more physically gifted but Kobe has the mind. That is what I admire.
Kobe was Pure God Given Grace on the basketball court. An Awakened Avatar in every way to prepare for every single game. He was so present , in the moment, dialed into what was called for to win, The Best Ever. A Ballet in motion, He will be welcomed back Home to his Original State, Pure Grace, at the very Core of all that is in Truth. His Honesty with himself was his key to letting go and letting Be, the next step to Perfection. A realized Saint, constantly Awakening to what is True. One Love pours it's collective Soul from, the four corners of planet Earth, to his beautiful Heart & Soul. You are inside of all our hearts.
Chris is wrong, Kobe won the dunk contest his rookie year. It put him on the map
Chris is wrong a lot
Kobe was finesse. He would cut through 5 defenders to get to the hoop, and not one of them would have a clue how he got by them. Almost like NightCrawler from X Men. One second he's at the top of the key and in the blink of an eye he's above the rim. There will never be another like him and I'm heartbroken he's gone.
He was unstoppable in his prime
First David Stern and then Kobe a month later... I'm still in shock.
Shii less than a month bro😔
Kobe in heaven slapping David Stern right now for the CP3 trade
I like what Chris said about Michael Jackson. Some people just move better bro
Its Been 2 years Since The First Time I Cried For Someone I Never Met In Person. I Watched Kobe Grow up... From When He Said I'm Taking My Talents To The NBA.... 20 YEARS OF GREATNESS!!!!... But What I REALLY LOVED ABOUT KOBE WAS HIS LOVE FOR HIS FAMILY HIS GIRLS... THAT SHOWED HOW MUCH PASSION AND HEART AND LOVE FOR LIFE
This still doesn't feel real I just wanna wake up from a nightmare
I feel the same way, my mom called me and asked if I had heard anything about kobe? Ironically I was playing NBA 2k. I hadn't heard anything about him.then she told me it was al over Facebook that he had been killed in a helicopter crash I was like. No no no that can't be true, it's gotta be a joke. Then I turned on the news and found out it was true I felt like someone punched me in the gut. It's been a while since he's passed. But I still can't believe it
Colin please the entire show for this week, I truly enjoy your point of view regarding Kobe
RIP KOBE , RIP GIGI

It's crazy how people see the details in you only after you gone...
Its crazy but it's life fam
People don’t appreciate somebody/something until they’re/it’s gone.
No lie Tmac was just as graceful and smooth with his moves too
Only if he were healthy...
T Mac was Kobe without the defense. Watching them play in 2002 2003 was like watching Subzero vs Scorpion, their games were so similar...
@@marlowstanfield6815 tmac played defense. We overlook that part. Kobe was better defensively
@@rods7028 T Mac has zero NBA all defensive team selections. Kobe wasn't just better than him defensively, Kobe was wayyy better defensively. But offensively i remember them being so similar it was like Subzero and Scorpion, especially because one wore yellow and the other wore blue lol
@@marlowstanfield6815 just because he didnt have any all defense selections doesnt mean he didnt play good defense
I'm sorry did I not get something or did Kobe not ball out in his 1st all star game in his 2nd year going head-to-head with Mike ??? He had 19 and didn't play in the 4th quarter of that game... what are they talking about ??? And he won the dunk contest in his rookie year not his 2nd... get the facts right !!!!
I agree!
Kobe had 20 in first allstar game. Mj 24 but played 4th qtr.
What surprises me more was Chris keeping making it about lebron like seriously dude my favorite Basketball player King Kobe Bryant just passed sigh ?
Yup!
noone home that’s what I was thinking. I remember him winning the dunk contest. He had 30 in the hound stars challenge but AI got the MVP. Then the second year is when he was an all star started and was impressive.
Chris looking like he starring in "Honey I Shrank the Kids"-- looking so miniature on this set... LOL!
Damn. I feel like I knew Kobe, but I never met him. Tough loss for Laker nation.
Me too, I never been even 1000miles near him and I still hurt inside
Great decision to reposition joy taylor. We need to see her more

Yo, it’s Probably Only 4 Super Bowl Week.............Unfortunately 🙄🙄🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️!!!
I honestly didn't know how much Kobe meant to me until now. I've felt sick from this. Im a Mavs fan but always respected how he was a savage on and off the court. Nothing but love people. Hug someone today 💛💜🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
My favorite Kobe moment,
2010 game 6 at Phx, he killed us single handedly after we won 2 straight in LA.
I remember that game! He hit the clutch jumper and tapped Alvin Gentry
They literally couldn’t stop Kobe in that series
I get what you saying but LA won every game at home and took game 6 in PHX in 2010. PHX didn’t win in LA
That was my fav Kobe game.
I still run down the hallway with my arms out like an airplane lol..
Every time I hear Chris Broussard speak, about 45 seconds in I'm thinking about Kat Williams saying "Why you screamin we in a restaurant!"
I love how you can hear on-set laughter after the "Chamber of Commerce" joke
I didn't even like Kobe until he earned my respect in 2010 when the Lakers beat a Celtics team that I absolutely loved.
The man cemented a legacy that will never be erased, it just sucks that his daughter couldn't do the same.
I will never forget you Mamba, rip bro!
I remember that Indiana game so vividly. I was a nervous wreck glued to the TV, as are all the players and entire Indiana arena. It was a super nervous pressure moment. But Kobe was so freakin' dominate and confident. Balled out like a messiah. Lasting memory.
I don't like Chris Broussard on most days but Colin Herd is the Man. Colin is the Epitome of great reporting.
Love this convo....speaking truths🐍
its surreal still
I hate that people criticize these KIDS when they come into the league for not being polished, in terms of their social skills, because they simply are great athletes. The dire judgment levied against them is just not fair in my opinion. They are expected to be perfect in every aspect, instead of allowing them to have room to grow! SMH I'm glad that CHRIS and COLIN to didn't do that in this interview.
I’m still waiting to wake up from this bad dream
Don't forget about Allen Iverson. Can't lie I'm gonna miss Kobe tho man.
This doesn't feel right man, this is beyond sad.💔
Chris, they didn't rush him...they held him back!!!
Allen iverson should be added to that “crafting the nba list”
LaRamsLunatic !!!! Definitely. AI was an icon. Saw him in the Garden and he was great
This is crushing for all of us since everyone born after 1990 (I'm 1992) think of Kobe as their MJ and LBJ is their Magic or Bird. Also that Kareem, Magic, Bird, Russell and Dr.J are still alive and Kobe died first.. and who would have thought that Shaq would out live Kobe.. Crazy miss you Mamba
He helped continue to elevate the game. Period. He is most definitely on that Rushmore of torch holders for the nba.
Colin hit the nail on the head when he talked about the great iconic players in the league in their respective eras. Early with Doctor J in the NBA/ABA era, Magic and Bird in the 80s, Jordan in the 90s, Kobe in the 2000s and Lebron and Steph in the 2010s. These have been the great players who have carried their respective Eras in the NBA. Decades level of greatness where they were winning titles are a key to their influence on NBA fans. Each one had a different style in how they did it which also helped create to influence NBA fandom.
Hes a great and true person
My lord Joy 😍😍😍😘😘
I know! It's a very difficult time but jeez... omg she is smoking
Kobe was Poetry in Motion
Kobe came in the league and was destined for greatness
Biggest and most terrible celebrity tragedy in my lifetime... since '96...

Tupac and Kobe......They were LA!
Michael Jackson hit worldwide Kobe's is up there too!
Richie Bernier this perhaps the darkest and saddest moment In this year is death of Kobe Bryant his daughter and 7 others in the helicopter incident
jesus joy put those away nows not the time to be getting me excited
Right 😂😂😂🤦🏽♂️
Still cant believe Kobe isnt on this earth
Man, this is just too much. Longest January in a long time.
Nah nah nah.. LeBron passing up the big shot till this day. Broussard we all know is extremely biased for LeBron and anti Kobe.
Kobe’s in heaven now with Gigi and they’re very happy he’s not dead he’s alive in hewven
Take pride in what you put out.
Kobe took much harder clutch shots than Lebron or MJ so thus he made a lower percentage. Lebron usually passed up the shot when the shot clock is ticking down, whereas Kobe would just shoot it and not worry about his percentages going down. Kobe is the guy who took 10 shots and made 5. Lebron is the guy who took 5 shots and made 3. Lebron made a higher percentage but took fewer shots. I rather be the guy who takes all the responsibility and doesn't care about his FG% going down. The leader should operate like that and not make his teammates take those tough buzzer beaters.
The mlb version of derek jeter you just have to respect him
People wonderin why Chris aint cryin ? Chris been hatin on Kobe for years . Sick to see him and Nick Wright talkin bout Kobe now with love and respect. Couldnt show him love while he was playin or when he retired ... But maybe they learned their lesson since he died? I dont think so, but hopefully ... cuz kobe deserves ALL the respect and more !!
Forgot Shawn Kemp
John Gist. True I thought the same
In all due respect I cried like a baby silently yesterday. Let’s celebrate Kobe and his life fully everyday.
Ok with this said Joy hey I’m single and I just gotta say my Gawd 🥵🥵🥵🥵🤤
I remember after dirks finals run when he really was dominating with that one legged fade-away. Kobe mastered it , there was a game on tnt and he hits the one legged fade-away , looks towards the tnt announces and says u see , that’s dirks fade-away but I do it sexier. Lol
If Le brons game is a truck then Kobe game was a Rolls-Royce. Smooth !!! Rest in peace Mamba !!!

Good point at the end. Who knows when we see someone else win 5 rings
Not sure if some agree, but I think Vince Carter has to be in the conversation of those who defined the NBA in recent memory.
1. Kobe's new shoes are called Kobe A.D. (meaning After Death)
2. Comedy Central predicted in 2017 Kobe dying in a helicopter crash in the cartoon ep. End of Days !!! Literally.
3. For his new shoes (Kobe A.D.) Kobe did a Nike commercial about his own funeral !!!
Man chris can never not name drop Lebron name on any topic
More fluid than jordan colin? I disagree . They showed a side by side of jordan and kobe and it looked identical except for the jersey.
He Won The Dunk Contest His Rookie Year
For those that are unaware, Chris Broussard is a Lebron "Pundit"...like on CNN or Fox News lol He is basically made his career propping up Lebron... and hatting on Kobe
Dirk and Allen Iverson definitely helped shape the modern NBA as well
He won the dunking contest in 97 HIS ROOKIE SEASON. The league didn’t have a dunking contest in 98 his second season.
So how did micheal and vince xarter win..stupid

Elgin Baylor, Dr.J, Magic/Bird, MJ, Kobe, LBJ
Chris Broussard a known Kobe hater. Paying tribute must be really hard for him
Half of all sports personas talked smack about Kobe bro....it was a disgrace for them to talk smack and now all of a sudden they respect him. If it wasn’t for the 2003 incident then Kobe will go down as the second or third best of all time. He’s the second greatest behind MJ in my opinion
@@carlosjlanderos Yessir! I like the word you chose 'personas'. Feels like their alter ego shows up to analyse sports. Kobe got a raw deal, but he accomplished a whole lot on the court.
