The captains are really no joke, and they outnumber us... really doesn't paint a hopeful picture. Makes sense why Renji was so conflicted, not wanting Rukia to die, but knowing there was no way he could effectively fight them because defeating even a single captain is such a longshot.
Kenpachi is a straight up DEMON my guy, he's by far the most psychotically bloodthirsty Captain of the bunch, and Shunsui is the exact opposite. These are the first big battles of the series and they are so much fun to watch. When I'm telling you it was painful to wait a whole week between each episode I really mean it. And also, a certain episode is coming up but I can't say what or when it is.
