Tyler wrote this song when he heard fans’ stories of cutting and suicide attempts after a show. He couldn’t sleep thinking about them. He promised that he would fight and stay alive if the clique promised they’d do the same.
Jenifer Stewart I’ve heard the head shake was when he was really suffering and dealt with emotional issues. He almost stopped. Thank God for them. Now he doesn’t shake anymore.
It's also been said that they need the masks when they're struggling with _____. Josh takes his mask off as soon as he's playing the drums and Tyler takes his off when he starts singing. Those are the things that bring them comfort and make them "ready" for what they need to deal with.
@@traktician they go DEEP!! I've been dissecting and trying to keep up with these two and all the fantastic lore, and it's a good run for your money, for sure!!!!

5:50 the "jitering" is something that he does to shake away his tears he does it a lot during live shows because there is so much emotion in his songs.
A part of me needs to share the immeasurable genius of the music and lyrics behind these guys to every person I lay eyes on, so as I can see and feel reactions like this. The other part of me wants them all to myself.
"the message, man" once again you're casually saying the title of another one of their songs during the review!!! this song is an important one. i think it speaks for itself. glad to see you enjoyed again :)
Dude I'm 47 and have been listening to TOP since vessel. You need to go back and check out addict with a pen and isle of flightless birds. Clique for life!
The beautiful girl in the pic with me (daughter) introduced me to 21 pilots. I have to be a closet fan at my age but their message has helped my girl. You got the song first run and just love that you might help someone with your reactions. 🤙👊
I saw this somewhere else and thought I'd leave it here. With that line "It's obviously best for them to turn their guns to a fist"...guns are for killing, but fists are for fighting. He's saying don't take the easy way out by killing yourself; turn that gun into a fist and fight your way through the bad stuff because I'm here for you. I love these guys. They are so talented and genuine. There's reason they have been my number one Spotify artist for two years running...and looks like they will be my number one again this year.
This, car radio and lane boy are my favourites. I love all of them but these 3 stand out the most for me. Oh and Goner. And Ride... I could go on! Another good reaction x
Their love of their fan base is incredible. I was watching some old live versions of the song, he would have the audience hold their arms up, make a gun with their hands and point them at him, then raise their arms back up and make a fist. Yep, everything about them, just genius.
Also here's an interview where they explain the masks. It wasn't really about being too insecure to be seen, but more about getting attention at first. ruclips.net/video/dDCYFvrw7DM/видео.html
I sadly relate to this song, especially "And you swear to your parents that it won't happen again..." I've had to tell them that so many times but that never happens. I always relapse. I'm glad theirs a song like this and how it understands
I am 45 years old and a fan because of my 16 year old daughter. She LOVES this band. And, you know what, so do I. I took her and a few of her friends to a concert back in 2018 and it was seriously the best damn concert I’ve ever been to-better than even Pearl Jam and that’s saying A LOT!
You are my twin. I'm 45. I got into then because of my son but then found I identify with a lot of the songs, too. I took him to a concert in 2017 or 2018. And I've seen Pearl Jam in concert, too! They are amazing. And his reaction to them is so real and visceral it kind of made me cry. Peace!
Yep - same story with me!! I’m 44 and started listening a couple of years ago because of my son and niece! These guys just blew me away! Best concert EVER!!! 💛
I’m much like you and the others commenting on yours. I’m just a few years ahead lol I’m 55 and I’m going to see them for the first time with my daughter she’s 34. We both love them, and it was me that hooked her. I’ve been a fan since 2013 so I’m super excited to finally get to see them
truly wish people would recommend their first ever album that album in my opinion is still to this day the best songs he’s ever written they speak so much volume it’s insane
Hi, this is my opinion, and it might be wrong, but when Tyler talks about "these mutant kids", I think he refers to how society sees people with mental disorders and illnesses, like if they were some type of creepy bugs, instead of people in need of help.
A little tie in for you, Grace is your favorite female artist and not only is this one her favorite bands I think she did one of their covers. We Don't Believe What's On TV, 3 years ago .
Tyler's body language suggests he's always about two seconds from losing control completely. Bottle up energy/emotion makes for great expectations. "Tear in my Heart", or "Heathens" next.
Nicely done, as always! My absolute favorite line of this song says it all: "I simply tell them they should shoot at this- Simply suggest my chest, and this confused music." Tyler would rather his fans take their pain out on him (shoot him straight in the chest with it! ) and with his music than hurt themselves. Fucking incredible.
Want your mind blown? Do the Twenty One Pilots Live from Brooklyn (Reconstructed Songs) series. 5 songs just Tyler and a couple songs you haven't done yet. You'll love it!
I just have to say, I love your reactions to Twenty One Pilots! You GET it. I love how I can see that you feel in these songs what I, and many like me, feel. We feel like finally someone gets it. Finally someone has put into words what is undefinable, inexplicable. My son was going through self injury, depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation in high school. He was in and out of the hospital 4 times in a year and did outpatient day programs in there, too. We spent a lot of time in the car together going to and from these hospital stays. This is one of the bands he liked a lot. I bopped along for a while until I started actually hearing and feeling the songs. I was floored. I took him to their concert in 2018 and it was amazing. The energy you talk about is real. Everyone there probably feels like they are the only one who has those feelings when they are at home, but they come together, with thousands of other who all have felt it, in some way, and they are no longer alone. I love how visceral your reactions are. I just found your page last night before last and I spent most of the night watching the ones for TOP. You see depth in the songs and videos that I didn't catch, the symbolism in the videos, all of that. You NEED to go see them when the world allows it. Keep it up. bruh... your reviews are my favorites, you pay attention to EVERY detail not only in the lyrics, but the body language and all, and manage to interpret them veery very well. You've just described everything I felt when I first watched this music video and heard the song. Twenty One Pilots SUPREMACY
This was the first Twenty One Pilots song I heard, I heard it a day after my mind went to a really bad place. I ended up crying for that whole day thinking about this song. I went and explored other songs but I always came back to this one. Even now when I hear it, I get this pain in my chest remembering that day, but now when I hear it it gives me hope in a way, and if I'm by myself I might cry listening to this song but this time I'm grateful? I don't know how to explain it. I heard this about 5 or 6 years ago.
Hey man, another great one! I just want to add, as you noticed at the starting they took off their mask. I interpreted that the mask helps them to hide their identity as they are not comfortable as Tyler said: "you can take it off when you're ready ". Notice here, Josh takes his mask off as soon as he is behind his drums and Tyler takes some time (insecurities kicks in) and when just about to sing he takes his off...which can be inferred as they are after comfortable with what they are best at and ready to face the world as soon as they do it.
@@traktician they truly are... I am not sure this one tho... at the end when they switched up again.. there was a pause where Tyler was scratching his head with the mic.... I thought that Tyler was out of words because there was no beats and josh was waiting for Tyler to speak. @@traktician That actually means a lot that you even cared enough to reply. So thank you. Like realistically I know I'll be fine eventually, I've been here before, but it's hard to believe that sometimes, ya know? Anyways thanks again. I hope you have a good day!
My favorite song from them. It helps alot when self harm urges pop up or other things.... Tyler and Josh care even if no one else does They take their masks off bc the message is coming from tyler and Josh. As people .. Not just a band.. Not to everyone. But from them to the clique
21 pilots just simply original in almost every aspect they created their own mold. Thanks for this Fable, you have good diversity in your musical spectrum enjoyed my tour through your vids. Have to get back to reality now BaBye :)
If you listen carefully, this part (below) you can relate it with the video of "The hype" when Tyler fall off the roof, and they took all the bullets with open arms. "The solution is, I see a whole room of these mutant kids Fused at the wrist, I simply tell them they should shoot at this Simply suggest my chest and this confused music, it's Obviously best for them to turn their guns to a fist"
There are so many details and little facts about this video, but one in the beginning on when they take off the masks, the timing is important. Josh has said several times that he hides behind his drums and that they help him, so he takes off his mask as soon as he gets behind them because he doesn't need it. Tyler takes his mask off as soon as he starts singing. You said in several videos that "He bleeds the words" and he really does. He doesn't need a mask when he's singing because he can be his truest self in his music. (Also, there's a concert wherein the first lyrics when he says "I know, I know-o-o, what means, I know-o-o-o" he would run the back of the mic across his wrist during every pause. I've seen many videos of just that clip, but every time I hear this song my brain plays that clip with the lyrics)
Great reaction!!!!!! Love your choices and will keep watching! You have to react to their acoustic session in Brooklyn. You see their diversity and talent it’s worth checking out❤️
I feel like the guns for hand is also everyone’s words and actions that hurt each other. So much meanness behind a keyboard, people don’t use their safety when the go off online.
One of my all time faveorite T.O.P songs and possibly my faveorite album of theirs too! The whole Vessel album is incredible and full of songs that SOUND light hearted and bouncy but if you really listen to the lyrics they have a much darker story behind them. The contrast in their music is scary good! As usual you hit the nail on the head with the meaning straight away man! Fantastic reaction! Love to all
At their concert when they played this we all put our hands up as guns and then turned them to a fist. It wss just fucking crazy to see everyone do the same power move lmao
I say u should react to forest or glowing eyes, it from a album called regional at best it’s by twenty one pilots. One sad thing about the album is it’s not on any streaming platform other than RUclips because warner music has rights on it but it has a lot of emotional value to it and I think it would be great for u to react to. If for some reason u are not able to do those songs you should do addict with a pen front their album called twenty one pilots ( I don’t know if u have done any of these songs because I have only watched a few of your vids but it would be amazing to see u react to them)
I didn't get a notification about this upload. That sucks! Great one again dude, this was one of the first tracks by them I heard and was fascinated by how he moved and Josh's style of drumming

Fun fact. When the put the tape around their faces Josh had a panic attack and Tyler made a little slot peeked in and said" hey your gonna be ok"
Oh wow... that’s crazy!!
in a more sassy way but all the same
True story ... this is Josh’s least favorite video. When you watch a lot of radio interviews and fan Q&As you learn a lot lol
Jolie Bellet because of that part, right?
It's also been said that they need the masks when they're struggling with _____. Josh takes his mask off as soon as he's playing the drums and Tyler takes his off when he starts singing. Those are the things that bring them comfort and make them "ready" for what they need to deal with.

You see their diversity and talent it’s worth checking out❤️
I will absolutely do that... will add it to the list ☺️❤️ thank you 🙏
I feel like the guns for hand is also everyone’s words and actions that hurt each other. So much meanness behind a keyboard, people don’t use their safety when the go off online.
💯💯💯💯💯 agree
I view the “tape” as trying to keep it together. Don’t lose your head kind of meeting.
💯💯💯💯💯me too
i love that!
I had to subscribe bc your passion is everything💛 ll-//
☺️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thanks so much man! I really appreciate that ☺️
Can you react to no phun intended its an album Tyler put out by himself
One of my all time faves!! These guys get it!!
Goner live the hype Berlin and lane boy pleaseeee
Joseph Wells Lane Boy is my favorite!
Spiderman & venom, maybe. Who knows? lol😂
2:45 "Agggg the message, the message, the message, man"
I see what you did there
☺️☺️☺️❤️🙏
One of my all time faveorite T.O.P songs and possibly my faveorite album of theirs too! The whole Vessel album is incredible and full of songs that SOUND light hearted and bouncy but if you really listen to the lyrics they have a much darker story behind them. The contrast in their music is scary good!
As usual you hit the nail on the head with the meaning straight away man! Fantastic reaction!
Love to all
Thanks so much man ☺️☺️☺️🙏
This song is on another level
🤯🤯🤯 they just on another level!
At their concert when they played this we all put our hands up as guns and then turned them to a fist. It wss just fucking crazy to see everyone do the same power move lmao
hey! reaction to the hype(berlin) twenty one pilots
hello :) have done this already please check my 21p playlists :)
Old school, off of Vessel album! What a great song and epic switch up 3/4 through! Every single song is amazing from these guys! Watch Lane Boy next.
Yip... that will be coming next ☺️☺️
Appreciating another fantastic reaction... BIG LOVE 😍😍
☺️☺️☺️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This one got me so hard in the feels. I've been sleeping on these dudes.
The first time I heard this group they were covering a Grace Vanderwaal song on Glamour
☺️☺️☺️❤️ they are epic
Just so grateful you keep reacting to them. Keep it going.. even with not so well known songs cuz they don't put out anything without meaning.
We are nowhere near done with them!!!! 👀👀👀👀
I say u should react to forest or glowing eyes, it from a album called regional at best it’s by twenty one pilots. One sad thing about the album is it’s not on any streaming platform other than RUclips because warner music has rights on it but it has a lot of emotional value to it and I think it would be great for u to react to. If for some reason u are not able to do those songs you should do addict with a pen front their album called twenty one pilots ( I don’t know if u have done any of these songs because I have only watched a few of your vids
but it would be amazing to see u react to them)
(i’m only putting this in all caps so you can see it) DO A REACTION TO MESSAGE MAN BY TWENTY ONE PILOTS
You should react to Lane Boy
That one will be next ☺️❤️🙏
❤️‼️😁
I didn't get a notification about this upload. That sucks! Great one again dude, this was one of the first tracks by them I heard and was fascinated by how he moved and Josh's style of drumming
Stupid RUclips 👀👀 thanks man! 🙏
Could you please react to Addict with a pen or Isle of flightless birds?
Sure will do ☺️
Thanks!
2:49 you should react to message man by twenty one pilots haha
I have added that to the list ☺️❤️🙏
