I was thinking of including cosrx full fit propolis ampoule with hyaluronic acid & panthenol. Can you please help me with this? Hey! :) Yes, you can use it after cleansing and applying the snail essence but before your Retinol. Also, you do not need to wait 10-15 min in between. 1-2 min can be enough! :)
Your reviews and info's are really helpful. I have a question, can I use cosrx low ph gd morning gel cleanser and bye bye blackheads in 30 days at the same time? Coz I also have acne pblm😢
Hi Melissa! I absolutely adore your detailed videos and your knowledge about skincare. As I'm on the way to find my best routine, i need to ask a question. I have a combination skin, and I suffer from hormonal acne (only a few little whiteheads around my menstruation). Niacinamide and exfoliating helped a lot! So I wanted to ask if it's possible to use the CeraVe SA cleanser? And then niacinamide and then from revox Peptides cocktail 10%? I don't have sensitive skin, but I would like to know if that combination is okay 🙂 thanks
Hey! Thank you for your lovely feedback!🥰 What CeraVe SA cleanser do you use? If you use CeraVe Renewing/Smoothing SA Cleanser, it shouldn't be a problem, however, your peptide serum should not be combined with Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) or Exfoliating Acids - with acidic ingredients that are also formulated at a low pH.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet yes, smoothing cleanser with salicylic acid and then I use niacinamide and peptides. And I wonder if it's okay to mix salicylic acid in this cleanser with peptides afterwards?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I'm deciding between the SA cleanser or the foaming cleanser from CeraVe. What do you think? Or do you suggest maybe another cleanser, or another active ingrediens for my skin type?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet i was only wondering if this combination will not cause a damage, because they say that you should not mix acids with peptides, but I thought I'd ask, because I think the concentration of salicylic acid in the cleanser is small that it won't cause irritation to my skin. Anyway AM 1. hydrating cleanser from CeraVe or cleansing oil from Balea (when I'm lazy i skip this time to time 😬) 2. Sometimes I use glycolic acid toner, sometimes I pass on toner 3. Vitamin C from revox 4. Moisturizer with SPF from frudia 1-3x in month I use AHA/BHA peeling or salicylic acid mask from TO PM 1. Cleanser from CeraVe (I'll buy the SA and the foaming one, will try them both) 2. Niacinamide toner from Revolution 3. Niacinamide serum from revox 4. Peptides cocktail 10% from revox 5. Night cream with snail mucin from skin79 Sometimes I use lactic acid, 1x in month maybe and after that I use only HA with night cream for proper hydration That routine sound like a mess kinda ☹️
Some dermatologist say you can put snail essence around eyes, do you agree with that? I am confused as I am reading and listening more from so called dermatologist I hear so many different opinions on the same products which I believe make a lot of people confused…
I'm skeptical of so-called dermatologists online, as I am not aware of any who do this purely to help people, rather than to sell skincare products-which are not as regulated as medical treatments. Moreover, these products have never been tested on sensitive areas, so we can only speculate about their effects, especially if they get into the eyes, etc. Given the lack of research, I would advise extreme caution, especially if you plan on using them for extended periods.

hi,Melissa. As I have introduced retinol and glycolic acid serums into my skincare routine, I apply them at night on alternate nights. Now I use my vitamin C serum in the morning before sunscreen. But most of the time, I'm in the sun, so will it work? I know vitamin C is very sensitive to the sun, but when we apply it to our face, will it oxidize the same way as it does in the bottle with an open cap?"
Are you using the vitamin C serum featured in the video? If so, it's not the best formulation to use in the morning. However, if you wait a few minutes before applying your sunscreen, it should be fine. My primary concern is whether it fully absorbs into the skin. If it doesn't and remains on the surface, it might oxidize. So, if you use many other products or have one that tends to remain on the skin's surface, it's best to apply the serum in the evening before bed. Alternatively, consider using a watery formulation that absorbs immediately into the skin.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet no i use another vitamin c serum which is sodium ascorbyl phosphate...so it should be given some time to absorbed into the skin. Thank you

I have 2 questions, why can't we apply products on our eyelids? I dont imagine something like snail mucin will irritate eye lids but i could be wrong..I'd like that area to benefit from Anti ageing benefits too.. Can we apply moisturiser after Vitamin C before sunscreen during the day?
Applying snail mucin to the eyelids is not recommended because the skin there is very thin and sensitive, making it more susceptible to irritation and allergic reactions. Additionally, if the product accidentally enters your eyes, it can cause redness, stinging, and discomfort. This can lead to long-term eye damage, especially when used chronically, as is common with these skincare products. Regarding your skincare routine, yes, you can apply moisturizer after vitamin C and before sunscreen. However, it's uncertain if this step is truly necessary. It may feel uncomfortable and offer little to no benefit.
Is it safe to use these products step by step i want to know your opinion Step by step is it safe to use please tell :) manyo oil cleansing+ cosrx cleanser+numbuzin toner 3+cosrx snail essence+cosrx vitamin c 23 serum+ moisturizer
Generally, that is not recommended because the skin on your lips is thinner and more delicate than the skin on the rest of your face. I suggest using a lip-specific sunscreen.
Yes, that's fine. However, using a moisturizer in the AM isn't always necessary as it depends on your skin type and the type of sunscreen you're using. If your skin feels great without a moisturizer, it's fine not to use one.
Hello Melissa :) I've recently seen your video on the AHA BHA PHA 30 days miracle toner, but I have to ask if you think my skincare routine needs anything included or excluded, I am a 13 year old with combination skin, and I've been struggling with blackheads a lot, I've tried the ordinary salicylic acid but it doesn't seem to do anything. Here's my routine so far: •Neutrogena hydro boost cleansing gel •aha bha pha miracle toner •skin aesthetics facial serum with hyaluronic & collagen •sometimes I use cetaphil healing ointment for dry spots around my eyes thank you for your help so far :) 💕
Hello Angie, Is that the only concern you have? It may be due to hormonal changes in your body. The best thing you can do is extract them with a tool, or better yet, visit an esthetician who can do it for you. You may need to do this periodically as they are likely to come back. There is no need to use any other products, so you can save that money and time. What I would recommend is using the cleanser you have during the daytime and avoiding unprotected sun exposure. When you do have prolonged sun exposure, use a good sunscreen, ideally a mineral-based one (for example, Good Molecules Mineral SPF), as this will help keep your skin youthful for as long as possible. :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Hello ! thank you for responding 🐧 the hormonal changes is kind of what I thought too, especially since they've never gone away since the first time I've had them. As for other skin concerns, it's mostly just un even skin texture, hyperpigmentation, and pimples from time to time. None of theses are really any big concerns though, and I think the pimples are also hormonal. I've been kind of worrisome about extract tools but I honestly think they might work especially since it's been tough trying to get the out. Also, thank you for the spf recommendation! :) I've been trying to look for some lately but there's a lot of options and I didn't know which one . Thank you for all your help Melissa ! :)
@@Milksoakedpillow How often were you using The Ordinary Salicylic Acid? Has it helped you with your pimples? Yes, I think that using such a tool is the best option for your blackheads! Happy to help! :)

Ok, in that case, you can keep using The Ordinary Salicylic Acid Serum (when not using your exfoliating acid toner) to maintain a more balanced skin appearance :)
If it starts to become dark yellow/orange, don't use it anymore. You can also store your Vitamin C products in the fridge. However, some Vitamin C products already have a slightly yellow color to begin with, which can also come from a different ingredient in the formulation. COSRX mentions on their website that their Vitamin C serum should be used up within 2 months.

I've a moisturizer, sunscreen, salicylic cleaner, niacinamide serum, and the Ordinary serum with alpha-Arbitone with Vitamin C 8%. Will this routine help?
Overall, these red or brownish spots will heal on their own over time. But yes, you are using the correct products that should help to speed up the healing process and address your concerns.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thx 😊 made me comfortable. I was afraid because these pigmentations have been present since last year and I started the routine two months ago but there is no visible improvement, but I’ll be patient
Were the spots caused by breakouts? Because some spots can take months or even years to heal. However, if you do not see any noticeable improvements within a few months, it's probably best to visit a doctor and ask for more advice, especially if it is really bothering you.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet These red pigmentations are caused by acritin. The doctor prescribed it to me and it caused me an allergy and it resulted in these red spots. I also tried a drug called Skinoren that contains 20% Azelec and it causes me an allergy. To be honest, I am reluctant and afraid to go to another doctor because they always prescribe the same thing to me.
If you are experiencing red pigmentation after using tretinoin, it may indicate an adverse reaction. In such cases, discontinuing use of the medication is often the recommended solution. However, your doctor may prescribe azelaic acid as an alternative, which is generally better tolerated. Still, if you find that you are unable to tolerate azelaic acid as well, you should inform him. Also the red pigmentation caused by tretinoin will usually fade over time after discontinuing use of the medication.

@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I also did some research and it said that the Cosrx AHA and BHA do not work well together so should I use the im from rice toner instead or the haruharu wonder which I was planning on substituting for the toner instead or should I just use the essence?
Do you mean AHA + BHA with Vitamin C? If you have sensitive skin, it may be advisable to use them at different times, as it could be too acidic. However, since you're also using hydrating products in the same routine, it shouldn't pose an issue. You can adjust it to fit your needs. Overall, try not to use too many products in one routine as it can result in uncomfortable layering and improper absorption. In my experience, a routine with one toner or essence, one serum, and sunscreen in the morning works best, especially when planning to be active. In the evening, you could follow the same routine but replace the sunscreen with a moisturizer if desired.

I suggest using Differin gel for your skin. (ruclips.net/video/2cw_5gJ-_TM/видео.html)
Additionally, for your blackheads, consider using a blackhead extraction tool. Start by taking a warm shower, then gently use the tool to extract the blackheads after you're done. If you're unsure about how to do this or you feel uncomfortable doing it yourself, visiting an esthetician could be a great alternative. This is the easiest and fastest way to get rid of blackheads.
Can you suggest me am and pm routines
It is in the video I linked above.

Differin
Benzol peroxide face wash

But you have to becareful it can scar

Everyone is different
Usually differin
Benzol peroxide
Sacilic acid by the ordinary is great for pores
Sometimes you have to try out each product for a month to see which works best
After 30 years I am still figuring it out
And finally trying to commit to my skin care needs

Use it after as suggested in the PowerPoint example routines.

I absolutely love your videos they’re super informative and have helped me a lot!! i just wanted to know if this is vitamin c formula suitable for combination skin type as i’m prone to blackheads on my nose?
It's a lightweight serum that doesn't feel oily on the skin, so you should be good to go! :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thank you so much!!!

yes
Hi. I have one doubt..... Cosrx vitamin c 23 serum should be stored in fridge with or without the packaging box??
You can do both. :) It doesn't really matter, but just make sure to close the bottle properly.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank u so much mam
Hello Melissa !
What vitamin c do you recommend??
This one isn't too bad, but the texture is not the best I have come across. G&G C-Glow is still my "favorite", but unfortunately, it's not available in many countries or the shipping is often expensive. It's a bit disappointing. 😞
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thanks for the reply !
What about naturium vitamin c complex serum?
@@MrWhite0303 I haven't tried that specific product, so I can't offer any feedback on its performance. However, judging by the ingredients, it doesn't appear to be bad. Although there has been controversy surrounding that brand, their formulations seem to be decent upon closer inspection. Once the product becomes available in my region, I might consider giving it a try. If you decide to purchase it, please do let me know how it performs. I'm curious to hear about your experience with it!
Hi Melissa, i use Clinique Even Better Clinical Radical Dark Spot Corrector + Interrupter, should I use that first then essence?
hmm, they both contain Dimethicone so technically you can apply them in any order, so just test it ;)
Hi dear Melissa !
my skin is normal but sensitive, can i use this routine :
- Cetaphil cleanser
- Advanced clinicals Vitamine c
- Snail mucin 96 cosrx
- Eye cream cosrx
- Snail cream 92 cosrx -Sunscreen(vitamine E cosrx)
Is the order correct and do the products benefit my skin plz?
Hey! 😊
Yes, however, I would suggest using the essence before applying your Vitamin C Serum, as demonstrated in the video.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDietThank you so much Dear Melissa.❤😊 You are the best.
Can i use it in the morning and evening ? Or should i just use it once a day ?
It's potent, so I suggest starting with one application daily, or maybe even every other day, and then see how well you tolerate it before increasing.
hi melissa^^ you probably won’t see my comment but if you do: can i use salicylic acid daily gentle cleanser and aha/bha toner before the vitamin c serum? ;-;
If your skin tolerates this, yes
Hi Melissa! I really love your videos. ❤ I've just started using the Cosrx products and I'm totally in love with them! Currently for my evening routine, I'm using cosrx snail mucin power essence, after that 0.1 retinol cream (this is my first time using retinol) and 10-15 mins later, I finish it off by applying the advanced snail mucin cream.
I was thinking of including cosrx full fit propolis ampoule with hyaluronic acid & panthenol. Can you please help me with this? Like which product should I apply first, is it okay to use these products together, etc.
Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you 😊
Hey! :)
Yes, you can use it after cleansing and applying the snail essence but before your Retinol. Also, you do not need to wait 10-15 min in between. 1-2 min can be enough! :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thank you so much 🥰
Your reviews and info's are really helpful.
I have a question, can I use cosrx low ph gd morning gel cleanser and bye bye blackheads in 30 days at the same time? Coz I also have acne pblm😢
Yes you can!
Hey!
Thank you for your lovely feedback!🥰
What CeraVe SA cleanser do you use?
@@ahojtadyadela3683 Yes, you can use CeraVe SA cleanser before applying your Peptide serum.
What's your current AM and PM routine?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet i was only wondering if this combination will not cause a damage, because they say that you should not mix acids with peptides, but I thought I'd ask, because I think the concentration of salicylic acid in the cleanser is small that it won't cause irritation to my skin. Anyway
AM
1. hydrating cleanser from CeraVe or cleansing oil from Balea (when I'm lazy i skip this time to time 😬)
2. Sometimes I use glycolic acid toner, sometimes I pass on toner
3. Vitamin C from revox
4. Moisturizer with SPF from frudia
1-3x in month I use AHA/BHA peeling or salicylic acid mask from TO
PM
1. Cleanser from CeraVe (I'll buy the SA and the foaming one, will try them both)
2. Niacinamide toner from Revolution
3. Niacinamide serum from revox
4. Peptides cocktail 10% from revox
5. Night cream with snail mucin from skin79
Sometimes I use lactic acid, 1x in month maybe and after that I use only HA with night cream for proper hydration
That routine sound like a mess kinda ☹️
Some is the key word. Maybe you eye skin can handle it but there's usually no need to add products to eyes
In my routine i have ordinary hydraulic acid , cosrz essential , cream and vitamin c , cetaphil moisturizer and then sunscreen
How to order this , I am confused
Help me please!

You only need one hydrating product (HA serum or Snail Essence) and just one moisturizer.
Thank you

Hi Melissa thank U for sharing.. I Love COSRX 🥰🥰🥰
What is your skin type? Oleosa?, thank you for the video, I help myself a lot 😊
It used to have combination skin, now it's more balanced :)
Hi can I use this with the beauty of joseon glow serum ?
yes
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank you so much… do I use Cosrx vitamin c and then glow serum and then Cosrx essence?
Use the Glow Serum first.
Is it safe to use these products step by step i want to know your opinion
Step by step is it safe to use please tell :)
manyo oil cleansing+ cosrx cleanser+numbuzin toner 3+cosrx snail essence+cosrx vitamin c 23 serum+ moisturizer
Yes :)
Can i use my face sunscreen on my lips
Generally, that is not recommended because the skin on your lips is thinner and more delicate than the skin on the rest of your face. I suggest using a lip-specific sunscreen.
Ok thanks ❤
Hello, can I use a moisturizer after vitamin C then followed by a sunscreen? Or is it just optional?
Yes, that's fine. However, using a moisturizer in the AM isn't always necessary as it depends on your skin type and the type of sunscreen you're using. If your skin feels great without a moisturizer, it's fine not to use one.
Hello Melissa :) I've recently seen your video on the AHA BHA PHA 30 days miracle toner, but I have to ask if you think my skincare routine needs anything included or excluded, I am a 13 year old with combination skin, and I've been struggling with blackheads a lot, I've tried the ordinary salicylic acid but it doesn't seem to do anything. Here's my routine so far:
•Neutrogena hydro boost cleansing gel
•aha bha pha miracle toner
•skin aesthetics facial serum with hyaluronic & collagen
•sometimes I use cetaphil healing ointment for dry spots around my eyes
thank you for your help so far :) 💕
Hello Angie,
Is that the only concern you have? It may be due to hormonal changes in your body. The best thing you can do is extract them with a tool, or better yet, visit an esthetician who can do it for you. You may need to do this periodically as they are likely to come back. There is no need to use any other products, so you can save that money and time.
What I would recommend is using the cleanser you have during the daytime and avoiding unprotected sun exposure. When you do have prolonged sun exposure, use a good sunscreen, ideally a mineral-based one (for example, Good Molecules Mineral SPF), as this will help keep your skin youthful for as long as possible. :)
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Hello ! thank you for responding 🐧
the hormonal changes is kind of what I thought too, especially since they've never gone away since the first time I've had them.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I was using the ordinary salicylic acid maybe every 1 - 2 nights, and it has somewhat helped with my pimples, all I noticed when using I was it on my pimples and blackheads is that they would calm down a bit, but they were still there. 🐧
Ok, in that case, you can keep using The Ordinary Salicylic Acid Serum (when not using your exfoliating acid toner) to maintain a more balanced skin appearance :)
“If it’s dark don’t use it” can you elaborate? All my Vit C serums are intact no longer usable. Unfortunately.

I want help pls 🥺❤️ I've red and brown pigmentation on my face, the red spots are not sensitive now it's just stubborn red pigmentation, i want to know if my routine is right.
Hi I heavent started this skincare route on but I want and I’m not sure if these products will work together so do you mind helping me so I made a morning and a night routine and here they are:
So for morning I did : cosrx salicylic acid daily gentle cleanser, Cosrx toner, Cosrx snail essence, beauty of joseon glow serum, axis - Y dark spot correcting glow serum , the Cosrx all in one cream and sun screen
And this is for my night routine: beauty of joseon Ginseng cleansing oil and then the cosrx salicylic acid daily gentle cleanser, I’m from rice toner, Cosrx vitamin c 23 serum, Cosrx snail essence, Axis - Y dark spot correcting glow serum, and the Cosrx all in one cream.
Should I exclude some stuff from either routine again I haven’t started this I ordered the products and they arrived today and I don’t wanna break out so I wanna know what works together and what doesn’t I also have dark spots and uneven skin tone and oily skin.
To not overwhelm the skin and to ensure proper layering, I would suggest the following order:
Morning Routine:
Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser
Cosrx Toner or Cosrx Snail Essence
Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum or Axis-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum
Sunscreen
Night Routine:
Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil
Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser
I'm From Rice Toner
Cosrx Vitamin C 23 Serum
Optionally, the Cosrx All in One Cream.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet thank you for much for this it helped a lot but I have a question for the morning routine if I don’t use the beauty of joseon glow serum could I use like miday or should I switch from dark spot serum to beauty of joseon and for the toner and essence would using them both be too much or should I do like the dark spot serum and beauty of joseon and use one item one and then the other one the next?
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet I’m in the sun a lot so I think I will keep the sunscreen in but thank you for the feedback I will try not to do too much products at once and I will try to switch the products around
