I would like to thank both BA Blocks and Rishi for sharing this awesome video with us. I watched it at least 3-4 times before my interview and I am happy to let you know that I got selected for the job!! The way Rishi framed his answers not only helped me in answering my questions for the interview, but it has opened up a whole new perspective within me. It has transformed how I look at my work and my career progression. I will be forever grateful to you both!. thank you
This video has consistently been my cheat sheet before interviews. I made sure to watch this at least once before going into all my BA interviews and guess what? I heard back from the first company I had interviewed for few weeks ago and I got the job! I made sure to structure my answers just as Rishi did and I could feel how well received my response was. Thank you team!
@@BABLOCKS That's great, I want to know that typically how many years of experience a business analyst should have to be experienced enough to lead business projects
Really loved the content, the structure, and the organization, but do not use too many "uh" s in the conversation. If you notice the Interviewer's "uh" blended in the sentence, but the interviewee's "uh"s were more pronounced which reflects lower levels of confidence. I believe he has written down the notes on his screen and is using it as a reference (love that trick, always helps) to frame his sentences. The way I removed filler words from my conversation was to reduce my speed of speaking. (Speed of thinking > speed of speaking) Using this comparison you will be able to reduce fillers from your sentence.
I loved his answers. I hv been working as a BA and to be so insightful and thoughtful in his answers shows his maturity and excellence of his work style. I would hire this guy anytime without a doubt
Thank you for this wonderful interview between both of you, this was really a needed one. I think many BA will definitely benefit there careers with this single video.
great video . this helps a lot of us who are willing to start out and get direction to a BA role. Rishi has massive experience which is shown in the answers . great job guys
I rarely comment on youtube. Great questions, great scenarios, great answers, great interview. Very informative. Thanks a lot for sharing this interview
I've been following your channel for quite some months..your content and videos are sooo good...I've learnt a lot about BA and things are explained in such a practical way that one can easily visualise how actually it happens. Thanx a lot for great informative channel.
Really great insights, as a fresher i loved the way he explained every situation. Really helped me to answer various questions based on these situations. Thanks a ton ❤️
Yes, interviews for junior and mid level professionals can take a different tone. We'll keep this in mind when searching for good mock interview candidates. Thanks for the suggestion Spardha.
Simply Superb! Such interview is really helpful to know about the market, competition and BA Interview process. Appreciate the work you have done in this domain. Keep it Up! Thanks.
Rishi is a seasoned professional with deep knowledge about his domain. Don't let that discourage you. All of us started off with baby steps and worked our way up to this level.
As per my experience, a BA role is more about expressing, way of communicating, ur facial expressions, ur first instinct when you hear the question, You can be a software developer by learning tech. But u become BA with experience and analysis, IQ thing is what u r born with.
There are many BA roles that do not require a developmet background. Make sure you look for roles that are more oriented toward requirements management and process analysis than toward systems analysis.
I hope this doesn't discourage you. Rishi has deep domain knowledge in the area he works in. Once you choose a domain to specialize in, you'll be able to speak with the same level of fluency in your area. It's a natural part of becoming an expert.
I started browsing on RUclips, seeking help and answers to learn and prepare myself for a cash management and capital market interview if my resume gets selected for the role. This video is definitely very helpful. But anyone here, if they have experience working as a Business Analyst in the capital market and cash management, please share any insights you have . I want to be very well prepared
Hi Prats, There are many good strategies for this, but largely depends on the specific issues that are in the way of the BA from achieving this. We'll keep this quesion on our list of considerations for a future video.
Breaking eye contact to look in a different direction usually indicates that the person is thinking and choosing their words carefully to synthesize a thoughtful answer to the question.
what about if youre in a meeting with cross teams and 2 different teams (or more) both have a priority at the same level what do you do then ho wdo you prioritize ?
Priority can never be at the same level. If both your stakeholders are vying for their problem to be solved first, then you and your PM must present the decision to the management group funding the project and ask them to prioritize.
I am currently working in research department in investment banking. I am from business management background done b com and MBA in finance. Can i pursue business analyst course in future?
Absolutely. The BA profession is full of professionals with business backgrounds. You should consider specializing in a domain that is a good fit for your bcomm/MBA. There are plenty of BA roles that require a background in finance.
Hi Bala, I'll put this on the list of future videos and see if a good healthcare BA professional is out there that would be willing to do an interview.
To train yourself Tell me about yourself ? Tell me one time where the project didn't go as planned ? How do you clear stakeholder requirement ? 2 senior stakeholders 2 features a disagreement how do you solve it ? What do you do when you don't understand develepper ?
Business analytics and business analysis are two fairly distinct careers. Pls watch our video on business analysis vs business analytics to learn about these careers ruclips.net/video/vG1tYl-cXPc/видео.html
Canada's focuses more on experience than degree..so an e-learning platform that would teach you from scratch, as well as create a simulated environment where you can apply what you have learnt would be ideal

Wow! Congrats Satakshi.
do you work from home as BA? also how much is the salary?
Yes, many BAs work from home. Especially now. Salaries vary widely depending on location, seniority, and specialization.

Can I say that this is the most accurate BA interview questions you'll face except few company specific stuff. Absolute gold on RUclips!
It's so nice and clean to have this heard. Thanks to Rishi and Emal for coming forward and sharing it with all of us. :)

@bablocks have you considered havimg a mock for salesforce business analysts???
We have some salesforce BA related interviews coming up. These will be more of an expert interview rather than a "mock interview".
Where should I start m looking to work as ba, starting interviews very nervous
How does a BA keep the work organized and streamlined?

Just wondering, always looking at the right side of the screen with pauses when speaking, doesn't it come off as something undesirable?
Breaking eye contact to look in a different direction usually indicates that the person is thinking and choosing their words carefully to synthesize a thoughtful answer to the question.
This is amazing
Can anyone help me why I need to study business analytics
Thank you for this 👏🏾😀😀

How should a fresher for this role answer the first question ❓
what about if youre in a meeting with cross teams and 2 different teams (or more) both have a priority at the same level what do you do then ho wdo you prioritize ?

Happy to see that the video is helpful. Thanks for the comment.

Why is the interviewer talking more than the the guy being interviewed
Do we have to complete a certification to add more credibility and weightage as a BA in Capital Market?
Certifications definitely do add credibility but they are not a hard requirement to do the job of an analyst.
I am currently working in research department in investment banking. I am from business management background done b com and MBA in finance. Can i pursue business analyst course in future?

I have a bachelors in computer science and I am a BA - what would be a good Masters to do to progress career-wise? Something business related?
Don't waist your money on masters. Get professional certificates instead . Volunteer with some charities and create a blog based on yout subject.
A master's degree is unlikely to contribute significantly to your career as a BA.
Please suggest some good colleges in canada to pursue business analyst course.
Canada's focuses more on experience than degree..so an e-learning platform that would teach you from scratch, as well as create a simulated environment where you can apply what you have learnt would be ideal
