      This video is mainly to identify the differences & applications among MMFs. Thanks for your advice. We'll consider that to perfect our video later.

    Hi there , AT 0:41 you didnt mention maximum distance on OM5 to get 400G how much is it ? thnx

    • @FS_com
      @FS_com  2 года назад +1

      For the 400G module in our front office, the theoretical transmission distance is 100m.

    All the OM1 cable I have seen historically had a grey jacket not orange. It was how you could distinguish them. Also if the distance is short, say under 50m 10Gbps Ethernet will work jst fine over OM2.

      Dear Jonathan, the OM1 cable with grey coat is the armored patch cable. In most cases, the OM1 cable is in orange. You can rest assured that FS fiber optic cables are fully compliant with the industry standard.

    Can we connect FO patch cable OM1 to OM3 using adapters?

      Do we have attenuate?

    • @FS_com
      @FS_com  5 лет назад +5

      It's not gonna work. The power penalty resulted by mixing 50/125 And 62.5/125 fibers is intolerable.

    Hi , i have read in some article regarding Multi mode fiber that maxium distanse is 300 Meter , but in your video you mention 550Meter for excample on OM3 , can you please tell me on multimode can we go more than 300M , for excample as you said 550M or not ?/ thnx
