  • After a lot of answered prayers and much determination I'm finally back to good health. Saturday was my youngest daughter Emma's 13th birthday, she said she wanted to spend it with me riding...what a day we had!
The day started early for us as Tackett is nearly a 3 hour drive from home. We were up at at 3:30 and on the road by 4:15. After some discussion we hit the trail just before 9AM eastern...less than 100 yards into the trail and on the first rock my left rear axle shaft shattered. In all the years riding this is the first shaft I have ever broke, usually the cv joint is what gives up 1st, not this time, the shaft shattered like a pc of glass. We carry spare axles just for this reason. After a trail side repair we continued on with our day. Dr Phil had brake problems on his quad and had to turn back for the trucks early in the morning. The rest of the day was pretty much uneventful. We made it back to the trucks with 93 miles on the clock and a big smile on my face. Me and Emma rolled back into the house just about 10:30. I have a lot of riding to catch up on, it starts now...I'M BACK!!!!

Nice vid, we just navigated up north to our camp in Maine, a 320 mile round trip....What actions we had, swamps, rocks, blown down trees, and trails that turned out to not be trails at all!....Had some tense moments but we made in unscathed, so we are gonna call it a win!

Man I saw hoping you were doing OK. Missed your riding videos. We had a great ride of Tackett on 6/29. The creeks and waterfalls were rolling like I have never seen, it is an awesome place. There was about a 6' wide stream coming off the top of the sand cave waterfall that day!

Awesome Videos But I can't believe someone would even start that trail without being in 4 wheel drive . Diff lock would have chewed some parts of that up . Isn't that's what it's for?
