Man he sounds so happy. Much different from when he was a player. Good guy Taylor.
To this day I wonder what Nebraska would have done if he had not suffered that injury in game 5 against Missouri. He had the worst throwing motion in history, but somehow got the ball there. And speed, well, there was nothing like him for those first four games. Insane acceleration.
He would have won the heisman
Never had a defense in big games like when 3rd place Wisconsin scored 70
There was no one like Taylor Martinez! Some of the runs you had were incredible! Thank you for what you gave Nebraska while you were here!
His run against Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship game is still my favorite play.
You got that right! I think he ran a thousand yards on that play.. LOL
Good to see him so happy!!
It was so exciting to watch you play, glad you made it to the Hall of Fame!
my favorite player.
Congrats Taylor! Never forget that Nebraska will always be your home!!
One of my fav players!!
I love that dude. Great person and one of the greatest athletes to ever.
He was a highlight machine and showed some real toughness for our Huskers. Seems like a really cool person as well.
One of my top 3 favorite qbs at nebraska. Guy was a playmaker!!
T Magic!! this dude fit right in with us dogs at centennial when he transfered over. One of the best HS teammates I ever had.
Congrats Taylor! Good to see him back and he got to see a W.
Dude was a damn great player! Congrats!!!
I will agree since 1971 I've never seen a Q B quite like Taylor Martinez.. The guy was lightning quick when he took off and ran.
Wisconsin...The Run...Jack...THE RUN
“I got chills in my body” - T. Martinez
Taylor played through injuries and still made many DBs look slow. Nebraska had all the Martinez bros play as QB. Glad to see him back in Lincoln. GBR
actually the guy deserves more credit
lol dam for a sec I thought Adam22 took a shower
Wish Rhule would have been your coach and not Bo, he ate ya alive, coulda been a much more all around heisman type QB, Heinrich's runs today looked like he had a bit of you! Exciting as hell!
Good to see T Mart again, glad he's doing well
🔴⚪️🌽☠️
would have loved to have seen what he could have done behind a good O-line instead of running for his life more often than not.
Well I guess some things never change 😂😂
He could be running same speed as a defender and accelerate to be 10 yards ahead
What is he up to now ?
It’s Just
You kind of wonder why he hasn’t been back in 10 yrs?
What I recall most is Pelini blaming Taylor for every failed offensive play and loss....at times, hard to watch. The vast majority of fans forget that Pelini rarely accepted extreme ownership of poor performances...the hallmark of a poor leader!
Taylor Martinez, was pitiful after the fifth game of his career at Nebraska. He WAS the first quarterback to be given the reigns for four years by a coach who refused to bench him for poor play. NOW, we do it on a regular basis. Adrian Martinez is another. example
No he wasn’t. He was all big 10 his junior year and never had defense in big games. Look at numbers.
Hell yeah! Used to love watching TMAC! GBR
