- P-Way trains, mineral trains, mixed freight trains, vans and a breakdown train all supplemented with the usual passenger trains for one big feast of double track action, featuring majority steam traction. I hope you enjoy.
That final double header shot was superb! Gorgeous engines
Beautifully filmed, a superb video-Thank You for sharing!
so nice to see 73156 finally running! looks fantastic,
All the equipment nice clean and painted,
Thank you for capturing this event so well. Had to miss it but your video shows how good it was.
A very enjoyable video . Lovely shots, Could see the houses being built in the fields alongside the line. Thanks Liam ..
Wow. A treat for steam locomotive lovers !
Great video thanks for putting it online 👍
Certainly have enjoyed, Liam! Delighted to see yet another completely different take on a gala that was never going to disappoint. Particularly enjoyed your opening sequence with more than a little sense of drama, as well as the double-headers. All wonderful stuff making me wish I had been able to be there! Kind regards, Bob.
I do love your videos; so sharp, so well composed. All I need is a fragrance aerosol, "Oily, Sulphurous Steam Loco" to spray around the room to complete my ideal viewing! But, to my eyes, a freight train of immaculately clean loco AND wagons looks very strange. I suppose the GCR have invested in a job lot of Oxide Gloss, but if it preserves the vehicles for future generations I can't complain.
Quality video as always , could not make the event but makes you feel you are there.
Superb piece of film and much appreciated over here in Germany! Thank you!
Nice. It shows what can be done with 4k @50 fps, but it depends on how good the network speed is for some; it worked well for me at home today.
The shot at 5:33 is awesome and is a sight you could imagine seeing on the GCR or the Chiltern Main Line in the steam days! Funny that you nearly got bowled by Witherslack Hall! Great video as usual.
That was really good/s :)
was it or "just" show????
Nice near-bowling of the 8F by 6990 ! But it didn't quite get away with it. Fabulous sound from Cromwell at 12:10.
A wonderful event at the GCR Liam...certainly something very different from them, and captured superbly as always....Bob
What is the britsh name for the closing carriage (conductors),they call caboose in US????
Excellent video!
Great video there mate especially seeing the steam locomotives up close to the camera
Can anyone tell me what the low wagon behind the diesel D5185 is? As its painted the same as the loco is it some sort of "Calf" unit?
I fully concur with all of the positive comments left by others., High quality, goods shots, excellent sound.
Thanks very much, as I'm not really into diesels I couldn't tell you. I thought it maybe an extra fuel tank, best to google it maybe,
Nice! :-) I do wish there were more railways with double track. The scene at 5:44 really is nice to see.
Great stuff - some cracking camera angles there.
Great steam footage Liam and well captured! I thought the sound track was excellent (I always love your visual tracks) it was probably due to the close proximity of your positions, but it seemed very "throaty" on aĺ the clips. Have you changed mics recently? The BR5 in particular was very impressive, but then, they were all superb! Best wishes. Ken
The 5 has the empty stock headcode up at 11:50 but there's passengers aboard.
Nice video :)
I've always wondered if the speed limit on heritage railways is 25 mph how do they puff like that with out speeding run with the locomotive brake slightly applied?
Just ease the regulator back. Exactly the same as easing your foot off the pedal in your car while still keeping it slightly pressed in. You would also ease back with the cut off on loco gear.
@@MarshSteamVideosTM ah thank you
92214 not running then?
