The Weeknd is finally back with some serious heat after a little period of silence this year. EBEN hit us up with an awesome remix idea right after ‘Heartless’ came out last week. After a few tweaks and small adjustments we’re happy that we can premiere it on Trap City! But most of us already know Trap remixes and The Weeknd go hand in hand with each other, right? 😉
I'm always happy when I'm pleasantly surprised by a drop in a track and this is another case for that. With that fast build-up I was expecting a heavy drop, but the transition into the first one and the way the main melody felt as if it got suspended in the air while some hard hitting drums/808s, snare and great hi-hats kept it afloat definitely caught me off-guard and I have to give props to EBEN for this remix, its very creative and most importantly, its keeping the same vibe of the original song , wavy with some hard-hitting elements in-between. Again, great job with this remix EBEN :)
Honestly, this is much better than the Lil Uzi Vert mix on After Hours' deluxe. I liked the slow paced version of it, but bringing Uzi to it was a bad idea. I'd prefer listening to this remix instead. This is so so much better!
