Just finished season 3. I feel like there’s so much more story that can be added on. I’m really hoping this isn’t actually the last season.
It was officially confirmed as the final season in November 2021. It was planned as a 3-season show.

@@GrahamDayFortressofGeekso... there was 5 episodes in last season? I rather have 3 episodes. Saxa wasn't able to lift Mjolnir in season 2 but with the start of episode 4, everyone started carrying it like its a toy, what a disappointment.

I almost thought that he was crazy and it was all made up until they all sat together at the end toasting at the end. There's no way all of them would just be friends from different walks of life and ages for no reason. I think the end was to make us wonder if it was all made up in his head or if it was reality.
This series captured me from Episode 1 of the first season. I really liked the fresh take on the Thor mythology. I like the characters good & bad. I love the way the actors portray their characters.
Same the mythology part dragged me in n since episode one I was hooked been waitin for new szn so fckin mad it’s final szn and won’t be seeing saxa anymore😔

I watched at all seasons in two days, I really liked the story too much, I even saw it in its original language and I am surprised at its good English. I hope they participate in more series or movies, I was delighted with all the actors!!!
These actors all seem so down to earth and.. Human.. unlike most American actors/celebs

I'm tuning in from Florida and think Ragnarok is one of the best series available to watch by far. I'm so sad it's ending and wish it could have had at least 7 or 8 seasons! I can't wait until Aug. 24, but don't want it to end. Bravo to the cast for making such an epic show❤❤❤
This season was one of the worse let downs I have ever had. You guys copped this shit out. Magne was imagining all this shit the whole time dealing with schizophrenia I can't believe you guys did this shit.

I’m some how only just now realizing that the actors did the English dubbing for the show usually they get other people to come in and do the English for shows In a different language
I always watch in the original language, so I had no clue they did the English dubbing.

never fogiving herman for pronouncing his name in english so that english speakers have it easier. it sounds so much better when u pronounce it as its meant to.

I loved this show, but the ending was bad, like real bad. I know nobody likes it when their favourite show ends but saying it was all in Magne's head, come on, seriously. There is no way that was planned from day 1, it feels like it was a last minute decision to bring the show to a close.
Exactly what I thought. It was such a sophmoric, badly written ending to what was a fantastic series!
I don't get why people think the ending meant it was all in his head. It was clearly denoting what could've happened if he didn't drop the hammer (ragnarok). If not, that group of people wouldn't be toasting to drinks at the very end.
@@kn9300 it showed him reading the comic and the storyline was the same as the show. When it flashes back to the Wenche touching his head, his eyes don’t change colour.
Fjor was killing people for the serpent, you can have a serial killer in a happy ending like that.
What about the serpent, it would surely grow and grow so the story isn’t actually over, at some point it will cause havoc, there are so many other examples too and it’s because it wasn’t real to begin with.

I have a serious crush on saxa. I dont speak norwegian but i like how the women on the show speak norwegian. They emphasize their pronunciation slightly more.

Enjoyable show and characters but I also didn’t like the ending which implied everything was in Magne's head :-/ It leaves you feeling a bit flat, plus you don't know any more what actually happened or didn’t in real life.
I get a lot of people saying the ending was bad, I simple choose not to see it like that, everything really did happen, its a 10-10 show if you simple dont overthink the ending
As a Scandinavian I always hoped that one day there would be a really good show about the Norse mythology. And then I started to watch the show Ragnarok. I love the beautiful scenery from Norway. I love that I could see it in the Norwegian language . I am not really sure if I liked the ending, in one way it was cool, but in another way it was disappointing. I wish there was more episodes.

24th of August it is!! 3 in the morning here, already finished with the whole season. Being a die-hard follower of Norse mythology, knowing the stories by heart, this series has really been my feed all this while, especially I must add with the modern world setting plot yet still brilliantly keeping the characters as close to as their mythological reflections. Kinda confused on what's even the point of life after this grand ending but I guess I'll start by getting some sleep😂❤

Personally I loved the ending. Yes they could have made it so ragnarock actually happened, but then it would be like every other superhero show/movie. This was the perfect ending IMO.

The actor playing Thor looks a lot like a young Geraint Wyn Davies of the Forever Knight series. The guy could pass for his son.

I've seen several people who watched the dubbed version say it's not good as the audio isn't in sync with what their mouths are actually saying
@@sfinn85Dubbed version is alright. It's just some rare instances in season 3, where audio is not matching, but it doesn't have a much effect on overall experience. It looks like the negligence of the directors.

Season 3 was a waste of time… not enough episodes to really simpatize with the characters… couldn’t care less to anyone. The end sucks!
So yeah what happened to that crap ending? Did Netflix say you only get one more season and you had to do a rush ending and you wanted to do like five or six seasons? For anyone that is actually reading this to the best of my knowledge there will not be any more seasons of Ragnarok it is ended. Netflix said this would be the final season.
Showrunner Adam Price said in an interview a couple of years ago that it was planned as a 3-season show from the start so it wasn't Netflix who planned it. All they were in charge of was distributing it.

I'm not sure exactly where the interview is as other comments I read online said pretty much what I said in my previous comment.
Anyway foreign language dramas are generally 3-4 seasons max. so they usually have a definite endpoint in mind.

Honestly, I'm so mad at how this ended. I enjoyed this series ever since s1 came out, didn't get around watch s3 till today and now am doubting whether I should've just not watched it. This was the dullest, most out of your ass ending I have ever seen. All this amazing, nearly flawless story building for what?
I truly love what ragnarok did. It added a completely new twist to the whole mythology, all inside this charme of this nordic noir type setting. The characters we're well written, the plot seemed brilliantly planned (ofc it was, it was based on culture and culture and even more culture), but no matter how I interpret the ending, it's always shit. This deserved a 4th season. This deserved Ragnarok as the ending. I truly don't belive this ending was planned, cause from the audiences perspective, this is utter trash and idk how they could've let that slide for all the years this show has been running.
To anyone who says to just 'not overthink the ending, accept it for what it is', well, we all will have to do that, but an ending is the most important part of any form of storytelling. The story just won't be remembered if the ending sucks, doesn't follow the plot, is illogical. This show ended below mediocrity, and it will be remembered as such. Y'all could've made a 100x better ending with a lower budget even. Just cutting off the last episode itself would've been better.
Thanks to the whole production team and cast, y'all did an amazing job. The writers and producers almost had it. And then they let it slide. We gotta point that out, so that mistakes like these won't happen again.
I somewhat agree. The last episode was awful, but why would you regret watching the show when you have to admit the entire story, beginning with Isolde, was good and original. The mysteries behind Jutul Industries, the character development between Magne, Saxa, and Fjor, and the atmospheric qualities in Edda are memorable. I don't regret watching the show at all and it had some good acting.

All the cast apart from David Stakston (Magne) and Gísli Örn Garðarsson (Vidar) were born in Norway. David was born in the US and Gisli was born in Iceland

Season 1 had a charm that was lost in season 2, You have this teenage boy with mental health issues, he gets the power of Thor and does nothing with it. Season 2 lost the charm focused way to much on the brother that just wanted to be loved. Wanted to be loved so bad he was willing to believe that a super powered tapeworm was his child, was willing to take the side of the family vowed to kill his brother. Magne needing the hammer to get his powers, you talk about beating a dead horse. Season 3 was going good then the ending was complete trash.
