The man didn’t say anything because it’s allowing her to have her moment. Allow her to be free without interruption. Sometimes it’s better to say nothing, and simply just to listen. A minor interruption can change the course of conversation at any moment. It’s not uncomfortable. It’s being respectful, and allowing someone to let out their demons. I respect both of them for this.

Bless her, she’s still hurting :( she’s been so strong over the past year, still continuing with the tour, doing one love Manchester and being able to speak about it, really shows how strong she is. What happened in Manchester was absolutely disgusting and one of the worst things someone could ever do but Ari is so strong & we’re never going to let win
good on her for speaking up about mental health. it's a critical issue in our society that carries a stigma that's incredibly toxic and problematic in virtually every way. and while we've certainly made strides in addressing the issue over the past several years, we still have a long, long way to go. we all need to wake up, speak up, and just do better. however, if you're someone with a huge platform, such as this young lady, it's absolutely critical. that said, her willingness to get a little bit uncomfortable and have a conversation about something so personal and traumatic speaks volumes about her heart and her character. it's so appreciated and it does not go unnoticed. keep it up, sis. 💜💜💜

This sets a great example to her younger followers imo. Some big artists just decide to flex with their fame and fortune and I just find that disgusting tbh.

I think his approach was just to let her vent and cry and let it out. Sometimes that’s good too, to let her be real and just let it out without telling her she has to or doesn’t have to say something. That’s what she wanted to say, that’s what she feels. A tissue would have been nice as well, but sometimes in that moment your best job is to be 100% focused on the words coming out of someone’s mouth and not interrupt.

A decade ago, I was sitting in a room, just doing my freaking job, and a man walked in and started shooting. He killed five people before he was shot dead. (Technically six if you count the wounded man that died a few months later). One minute, I'm listening to a proud dad go on and on about his son's accomplishments, and the next I'm listening to him gurgle his last breath on the floor next to me. It changes you permanently. I'm proud of her that she broke down and let her feelings come out so honestly, so people can see that it doesn't just fade away and you're back to normal again. These events have very permanent impacts, but unless you were there it is easy to just move on to the next story. Even complain that people are "still talking" about it!
I feel like the way this video cuts off represents that attitude of, "Eh, I'm bored of listening to it. Move on to the next." Don't be shocked this keeps happening.

I love how the interviewer didn't straight up ask her to talk about it as if he was demanding an answer (like most interviewers), and it's even better that he's just sitting there silently listening and letting her talk even when she pauses to wipe her face, that's respect right there
Ikr. This is the type of convo i wanna have sometimes with some people. Just listen and paying attention to what I’m saying without questioning or answering in a way I’m not comfortable.
I don't fit the target audience (male, 40+), but listening to her sincere comments about people ignoring what life should be about, not noticing eachother, not acknowledging themselves and obsessively keeping up façades, has me thinking that if someone at age 25 has the ability to see things this clearly (however horrible the incident that triggered it), she's got the potential to enrich a generation with insight through a promising career. Although broken, you're in a good place, girl!

She went through that attack, Mac Miller’s death, and the terrible breakup with Pete Davidson and she still turns everything happy and try’s to lighten a moment like then and she is not scared to open up about anything and talk about things and feel confident about it and that makes her the most genuine person ever and still she won woman of the year, artist of the year she also won her first frickin Grammy and still went through all those bad things but made it to the top being the number 1 artist in the world so it so amazing to see how she went through that but had the most amazing year in her career is just breathtaking.
Still in 2021 she is the most powerful and brightest person you’ll ever meet. Recently engaged to Dalton Gomez and she’s very happy and healing
I heard anothet audio of it where when Ari finished she was apologizing for crying and saying she was a mess. The interviewer said something really deep: That a lot of people confuse crying and showing emotion with being weak, and that it's exactly the opposite. What he said really hit me.
I know this is like an interview and suppose to be super professional or whatever, but I could not just sit there and watch her cry like that. I seriously just wanna hug her. I care about her so much

No one could have known what was going to happen that day. She was changed by that horrible experience in more ways than one. I applaud her for speaking up about mental health issues. Every time Manchester stuff is bought up it makes me cry. And watching Ariana cry made me cry more. I'm so emotional like if I am to ever be so lucky enough to get meet and greet tickets to see her I'd probably cry for two reasons. One because I'm happy but two also because of sadness. I'd cry from sadness as I'd be in front of a singer who had a tererist attack at a concert and for Ariana being brave enough to go back and do one love Manchester.

this helped me stan her. i was never a big fan but after what happened i felt so awful for her. i always loved her and she was my favorite on victorious but i never took the time to listen to her albums, recently i decided to do so and i didn’t dislike a single song off all of her albums. i was surprised that the music she makes is so good and i regret ever doubting that or her. and now knowing that she stands for all these important issues and things that I also stand for like talking about mental illness and being a feminist, i stan her 100% and better late than never that i recognize how amazing she is
For me was quite the opposite - I loved her music, have all CD's (illegally downloaded because I'm broke af), but I never give her much attention how she is as a person. Just recently (a year ago) I started to look into her interviews, facts about her, etc. and let me tell you she's so amazing! I've become such a huge fan of her and I love her to death! I honestly can't imagine life without her, I don't know how I didn't become a huge fan sooner! She means the world to me now ♡

It may be annoying to some but it was really from the ❤ and made her more humanized. We are all used to celebrities having their answers pre-scripted and perfectly planned out ahead of time. I love ariana so much it sucks how people hate her. She is such a strong person people are so heartless these days it really sucks. Sure she has some bad times but shes only human you know. She always apoligizies and tries so hard for us. you dont have to like her music but at least respect for her as a human because the things you do can really hurt her. Not only Is It etched Into my skin but In my mind forever. That was some seriously dark shit what happened that night & It effected us all In some way or another. I feel for her. It really is about perspective. When you’re on the outside looking in you really don’t get the full effect of what happened. You mourn & move on. But to actually be in the situation personally & have to deal with the emotional/physical/mental aspects of it is just completely unthinkable.
