These multi coloured lights are not going to give me a mood to make music.. there completely over the top design. It’s great Behringer has of course made this some what copy affordable, but I don’t think I could ever enjoy using a machine with such aesthetics even when it might sound close to the real thing.. then again korg will use much more near to authentic chips (bringing us closer to the original sound) plus with it being mini and all black original design, that’s something epic to look forward to.
Hi. In the video Rishabh shows you how to easily reduce the multi-coloured lights on the 2600. ;-)
I'm glad you've reviewed this. Nice work! By now we've become accustomed to Behringer offering inexpensive clones but.... Wow! This is a damn 2600 clone for $600! That's a pretty big release from them. I've been 50-50 on this thing, opting for the 2500 modules instead, but now I _NEED_ it!
Superb review. I am waiting for a notification of mine shipping, hopefully soon and this has helped me for sure to have a good start.
9:14 Came here for that R2D2 sound hahah
so his voice is basically a fm'd lpf?
@@meerkatzThe23 ok so im not exactly sure about the technicalities but what i do know is that r2d2's "voice" was made by Ben Burtt on a 2600.
@@Skejtboard oh,sorry,i meant an frequency modulated lowpassfilter!
i guess it is something...
@@meerkatzThe23 fm always makes me dizzy when i look into it but you're probably right! Or some LFO. That maybe what you mean?
@@Skejtboard lfo's could be or maybe a sample & hold...
i am also not that expert!😉
All we need now is a behringer buchla easel. *cough cough*
YEESSSSSSSS TAKE MY MONEY
sounds great can't wait~
Imma buy. Someday. I love the new features Behringer added.
with arturia keboard !!!!! you're the best :)
Dope az i had sume behranger mixer an light i still have mixer rack....rad i luv to get this ...new toy. To hook up to Dj mixer an record deck.. Great to cee this out. I have to go to my local music shop
This is the best semi modular synth ever built, and Behringer is selling this for $599!!!! They’re giving me a chance to buy a synth I never thought I would find a chance to own!!!! They did again because a original would cost you at least 10 grand if you could find one maybe more depending on condition!!!!
No, you still will not own ,,that" synth, don't fool your self.
This one is great, but Moog Matriarch still is by far the best semi modular on the market right now
@@BasariStudiosThis synth is to the Korg 2600 as your RUclips channel is to Divkid. Dispite this I still bought modules based on your reviews and you had my subscription, the operative word being 'had'. Snobbery and arrogance are a real turn off.
@@outlier5844 huh??? Who said anything that this synth is better? I have an original ARP and the Korg ARP, i know what they can do.
@@BasariStudiosWhatever man, i overreacted
my comment is that you sold the damn thing to me and I'm getting 2 on them.
No brainer buy. I'll take 6 of them.
WOW
Very nice! And for $599! Wow
How is this a review? You aren't giving any opinions or comparisons... is this a paid walk through?
Sweet.
Looks like a christmas tree x)
I would buy it just for the lights!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
De la shit
The sound is nothing like a 2600. This things sounds like it's trying to emulate the software emulations....
Your comment sounds nothing like an educated one either...
@@rebours Get a grip.
£550? Come on, nothing positive to say?
It’s close enough for the money, and sounds great anyway.
Another Cork Sniffer. You're welcome!
You must be aware that Behringer is using cheap china parts for his products and well it can work very well or it can work one month and then make a nice magic smoke. Somebody opened one up and all parts were very poor quality not holding any specifications and working on the border of possibility for given part.
Ive owned exactly one Behringer synthesizer the Neutron. Was NOT impressed and it WAS noisy with the delay full on. I went out and bought an expensive Dave Smith synth made in the USA paid more, helped support the economy and knew the value of something well built.Quality AND re-sale value if I ever part with it vs. China sourced junk by a hack company!
@@harmonicres I want to buy one of these but feel the same way. The products I've gotten from Behringer in the past were of cheap quality. I payed the extra buck and bought Dave Smith and Moog. Even Korg to me is a Plus!
Goddammit behringer! There is no way I can stop myself from buying this🤬🤣
for gods sake tune the dam thing!
I am actively blocking any channels or content that promote Behringer due to their unethical business practices. Ripping off old designs and producing substandard gear was bad enough but these days they rip off current designs and actively try and destroy their competitors.
im all for lights etc but why xmas theme looks awful
Stops copies me.
Behringer can go fly a kite. I won't support their business. I feel like buying their synths is like choosing Walmart over your local shops.
That’s a totally flawed argument. Korg, moog, roland, etc are NOTHING like a local shop or small business.
Stop giving behringer money! Does sound cool though.
Sounds like any other Behringer and definitely not a 2600.
Looks great, a pity it's Behringer.
Wow I thort my yamahasynth djx 5000 was dope back in 90 s. No. This is dam phat. This will make my hip hop dam magic nuts. I herd it yoused in hip hop so much. Marster the 808 an this. Machine is nuts ...
You’re simple
I really want to not want this synth. Behringer is like that shitty guy from work that you have to tolerate, but you'd for sure not trust him around your girlfriend.
Just buy it if you like it.
feel the same about the vcs clone. If you can try to find it on the used market. you wouldnt give any money to behringer and its good for the environment
Wow!
Behringer is killing the the actual creative makers.
ATARI 2600
this ain’t it
Waste of money, it really sounds like a toy for children.
What a freaking Joke!
What makes you say that?
@@outlier5844 because it is...all the kids will be rambling how they have an ARP2600 while this has nothing to do with an ARP2600. It might be a cool Synth, no one denies that but an ARP2600? They didn't even make it look like one.
Just get a suitcase, open it, stick your midi controller in there and prop this against the lid and party like it's 1970.
Here's Basari with some more Behringer hate. Funny how every hater claims to have at least 2 other 2600s. Things you have to ask yourself.. Do all 2600s sound the same as each other? No. Do all issues sound the same as each other? No. Is £500 a good price for a very flexible 3 oscillators semi modular synth that can sound great with tweaking and patching? Yes. Is it faithful to the original? No. Does that actually matter to you? That's very individual and you'll never persuade anyone otherwise. No need to hate, why not go spend your time on a channel you like instead?
Because the original ARP 2600's will suddenly stop working or what? More music instruments will mean more music in the world. Just what these dark times need.
