Old sidemen was fun because I remember going back from school drained and watching them just piss about and chat shit playing golf, gta, ... Low effort to watch, funny af and entertaining. Them just being friends is why the sidemen are so famous.

It's really sad they think the old content was "cringe" because of how new fans have trashed it and critique the smallest things in videos now. They've all said they would all go back to these days (especially Simon). All of these moments and content was GOLD
For real, when the NPCs started to become Sidemen "fans" the content has never been the same, it's more high quality production wise but it feels forced
the gta days, golf with friends and all that stuff was a different time for the sidemen but it’s the time that us old fans remember. it’s what the sidemen really are. the new high quality content is great but the old times will always be amazing to the ones who watched it

I don't get why they hate on old Sidemen. It has nothing to do with nostalgia. Old Sidemen was a product of the time and new Sidemen had to adapt for the future. New Sidemen is PR Sidemen. There isn't anything wrong with the content they make now, however I'd argue that in recent time the stuff has been just as 'boring' as what they think their old content was. I'm not being funny but there is only so many "We spent X amount" videos before it's the same shit on repeat just under* the guise of a different premise. Good vs Bad Holidays, whatever that box things they've been doing is called, Travelling to insert country to do insert random thing, Tinder x50, 20 women x100. I'm not hating on the hussle, however, lets not pretend it isn't all samey and the wheel is being reinvented every month. Nothing wrong with what they're doing, business is business. Old sidemen was samey but the content wasn't from what they were playing it was what they were doing and saying at least for the most part. I do miss the old style of RUclips videos, unfortunately I feel most content has become somewhat generic and uncreative.
Agreed, their old content was just a group of lads having fun and that's what people enjoyed, the banter and the humour. It was relatable for many people and made them think of their own friends they gamed with or hung out with. Now Sidemen content, although still good, no longer has that personal feel anymore. It's no longer friends hanging out having a laugh in some random game - it's now a group of friends in a massive production set having to watch what they say and play to a RUclips algorithm. Yes we still get some bangers that are funny, but it does all feel quite generic - with the same video premise played to death. It's perhaps why many people prefer the more laid-back MoreSidemen videos, because that brings back some nostalgia of their older content. I love watching their simple GTA videos, compared to the massive productions. But that's not to say either one is bad, it's just my own personal taste.

We all loved the old sidemen because of how authentic it was, for all of us growing up it was hurt watching a group of friends play games and have fun that we couldn’t do at that age. New sidemen is very corporate which makes sense they’re a brand now, but old sidemen will always stay undefeated

My favourite Moresidemen video is "The Sidemen have to split up..." The moment when Vikk agrees that he would touch a child, Ethan and JJ die of laughter and giggle for the rest of the video making Vikk go silent. I've never laughed so much at one of their videos before or since then. I've had it sitting in my watch later since it was released. I occasionally return to it if I'm feeling down and need something that's guaranteed to make me laugh. There's also Behz's Minecraft stream with Harry, Freezy, and Callux. The chat mercilessly roasting Callux was too funny. It was so perfectly funny that it felt scripted.
