I’ve never shipped Mavuika and Capitano but damn… in my head If they both will survive this quest they will fall in love with each other. Romantically, platonically, doesn’t matter romance or friendship, it would be true love. It’s not about them being nice to each other and have a talk without fists. It’s about mutual understanding, respect, energy. Best couples (lovers/friends) are when two people are similar enough to get the other one’s point of view yet different enough to make each others world bigger. Capitano talking with Mavuika is probably the only time I can see someone equal to her. Like I know she have friends she treats like equals but because of her story, mindset, heart she still feels above them

Capitano being one of the few survivors of the Cataclysm and the First Harbinger. If people don't understand, think of Gojo, he has friends yes, but deep down he felt isolated being the strongest with no equal. And they finally find an "equal" who has similar experiences (both lost their family, sacrificed a lot), share the same goal, and actually came to a mutual understanding despite the vast differences of an Archon and a Fatui Harbinger. I'm aware this is Genshin and their relationship probably won't go further than :"we're allies and I have high respect for you" but it just feels right.
