Tab S5e is much better if you don't need S-Pen. But honestly I wouldn't lose that much of things like better display, better sound quality, DeX, better cameras just for S-Pen.
Hello, thanks for the review and really love on how you explaining the comparisons of both tablets and it really helps me to make up my mind on what I should get and fits for my usability. Just a bit of idea, I was a little confused about knowing which and which coz somehow the s5e appeared on left sides, s6 lite appeared on right sides, and the other way round. maybe you can try to stick on the same sides so it's better not to get confused since both tabs look pretty much the same. All in all, I love the video and the ideas of your explanation about each tab. Dankeschunnn
It's been well known S5e is better in gaming graphics, they have done comprehensive tests with all relevant games. I suspect this review only casually tested one or two games under non controlled conditions. I think there is some bias against S5e for some reason. The battery life is definitely better yet they say it's same??
Good that you are able to show how in practice the screens look different. For sure it can be difficult to reproduce on camera what you notice with the eye. cheers JB
If you use the S Pen when the tablet is off, like just scribble on the blank screen, it'll wake the tablet up. So it does have a wake up gesture but, it's tied to using the stylus. Make sure you're pressing on the S Pens button when writing on the blank screen in order to wake it up. It's kinda like a cheat wake up since it's technically supposed to be for writing notes on the fly, but can easily be used as a wake up method to use the tablet for general usage. Just give it a try and you'll see what i mean. 😊
Samsung released an update yesterday, they now support double tap to wake but, with your finger only. You still have to hold the S pen button down and scribble on the screen (screen off) to wake with S pen.
Selling point for the Tab S6, I guess. If they added a Super AMOLED then I'd get an S6 Lite but it's important to me so I'll be buying the S5e, although it's for my brother to watch sports.
Tab S5e is running Android 9, Tab S6 Lite is running Android 10, so Tab S6 Lite is right now supposed to be faster because Exynos 9611 and Snapdragon 670 are very close. But I think that the Snapdragon is better.

I was trying to decide between both. Decides on s6 lite. At the time i bought it both where The same price. The reason is because i have my two years old S9 and the screen already shows burn in spots. Some videos are really bad to watch. I considered it Since s5e has The same technology. If you are into gaming, forget the Tab s6 lite, as traditionally the Exynos SOC will significantly throttle and drop frame rate after a long duration of gaming. It will look stable in the begin then start stuttering when it gets warm. Both the S5e and regular S6 will be better for perlonged gaming since they both have Snapdragon SOCs.

I wanna know if tab s5e have smart selection feature. I am thinking to buy tab s5e. Before I do, I want to make sure that I can have that built in gif feature. It’s very useful for me when I used samsung galaxy s8. Thank you guys for making videos.
i’m a samsung fan and uses their phones but when it comes to tablet, ipad is hands down the better choice.Google needs to develop a special os of software for tablet like apple did with ipad and also make more apps optimized.
Thanks for your video! If I like drawing in the tablet about 1hour per week and I use it a lot with headphones for watching Netflix in bed (I don't care about the camera and I would probably play games but not so usually)... Should I get the s6 lite or the s5e?
Tab s6 lite will do it for you, especially as the pen is included and works well. We have done different videos on drawing and taking notes with the tab s6 lite.
samsung be like : yo bitches, i've got another joke trade s pen for poorer screen but with built in palm rejection but no dex or trade in s pen with super amoled screen with dex and ppl with tight budget looking for a midrange tablet fcking hell, we wan a tablet that could support both dex and the s pen. (due to many ppl assuming s5e has pen support)
Don't care that much about losing Dex (it sounds good, but apparently it is quite buggy). But I agree that it sucks that they downgrade the screen on this device. Not only is it not OLED, but the resolution is lower too. Since many years it's almost like companies deliberately offer devices that lack what consumer actually wants. Mostly marketing & sales strategy I imagine. But who knows. Having said that, I don't own either device, so maybe in practice the screen difference would not be such a biggie. But it does put me off purchasing the S6 Lite. cheers JB
😂 it’s the same with camera manufacturers - there is no one perfect all in one device when they get in their bubble of creation ... we want people to buy the lite hmmmm but we still want to sell the 5Se hmmm and it has to be worse than the S6 but not so much better than the 5se hmmmm give a pen take away keyboard
@@TheCardGeek I totally agree. And sometimes those differences are important, but sometimes not. I used to work at Creative Labs (once upon a time), and one cool thing about that was getting to play with various Mp3 players etc. that they made. You would think - oh, this version is better than than because... But when you actually got to use it you might realize the opposite - oh I don't really need this, or I actually never use that. Or a friend would say - I really like feature X on the device, and you would be like - oh - I didn't even know it had that feature! 😂 Anyway. Good practical review. Thanks again! cheers JB
Hi, there are two main reasons to go for the S6 if they matter to you the most, 1) Software update and 2) S-pen. The S6 Lite is most likely to receive Android 12 while the S5e will only get Android 11 in Q2 2020. Besides that it seems Samsung put the pen with the S6 lite to sell the damn thing because the S5e is better in any way. The screen is OLED which does cause for a bit of a warp effect but the clarity + contrast is unmatched to LDC. The battery performance is better, CPU/GPU performance is better, you can very likely still get Android 12 on it after release through the XDA community, tho unofficial.
Hi can you please make a video of Samsung galaxy Tab s6 lite editing video's . I'm planning to buy one . But I'm concerned about the processor . I am confused to buy iPad 9.7 or Samsung galaxy Tab s6 lite
Tejas Bhandari I am sorry, it was on the to do list but the adobe rush software is struggling on the lite - I don’t think it is powerful enough for the video editing tests we do
I have both a 2018 iPad 9.6" and a Samsung Tab s5e. The iPad is definitely faster (although some of this could be due to the software implementation). IMO the biggest weakness of the s5e is the slow processor. OTOH, the s5e is great for consuming media. Much better speakers, much better display, better aspect ratio, much thinner bezels, and it's thinner and lighter. In some ways it's a poor-man's iPad Pro depending on what features you need. I had been contemplating getting a iPad pro for the speakers, bigger display, smaller bezels, and usb-c connector but then I decided to go for the s5e at 1/3rd the price! I hope Apple will someday release a tablet with a 16:10 aspect ratio or even 16:9. Anyway, I recommend the iPad 9.6" over either of these Samsung tablets for editing videos. Also, I think there is much better software available for the iPad.
The s5e is better in almost every way, with a higher resolution amoled screen, better speakers, better processor etc. The only reason to get the s6 lite would be for the s pen
Hello. I'm in my 4th cycle of medicine and I think it's time for a tablet. The truth is that many papers make it difficult for me. The laptop I'd just like to use it for the zoom we use now and in the more distant future buy me another one. I'm between these two tablet options. I want one to be able to take notes on top of the slides, take whole notes, be able to open my digital books that I have on my external hard drive and other things. I'd like to know which one you recommend. I've never used a pencil like that to take notes, so in that case I didn't use it I also thought about buying a keyboard and mouse. So I could take notes too, right? Help please, I am in a dilemma
we are non biased and don’t go with what others say, there is no point testing devices if we would just repeat what other people say and/or read from a PR. we felt that the tab s6 lite had slightly better gaming performance. When you look at the open CL and Vulkan score both are half of on the s5e of the tab s6 lite is. this is one factor that will influence gaming. In any event both are not designed toi be gaming devices. Thanks for stopping by.
IPS is a trademark of LG displays which is also TFT. You don't expect Samsung to call it IPS. But yes, they should have put an Amoled instead. Samsung is becoming greedy nowadays
@@TheCardGeek i already have a s5e, as i use it mainly for media consumption and internet browsing, it's just perfect for me. The oled screen is the icing on the cake for me
Curtis J that’s absolutely wonderful and I love it that you share what it is great for! The screen is fabulous and honestly the fingerprint sensor is such an added bonus
Sorry they both support SDXC expandable slots so thus they will support the same storage. If the S5e won't let you format it if it's a 1TB SD card then use a Windows or Mac computer and use a program to format it to what Android supports and it should then work. It's a trick I learned with the Nintendo 3DS system as it only supports a max of 32GB's but the SD card slot can support more so I did the above trick on a 64GB SD card and it worked on the 3DS so the same should work for other devices that has built-in software limitations which I don't think the S5e has as Android is a more sophisticated OS compared to the one the 3DS uses. I do believe that if you put in a 1TB SD card that Android would format it to its original storage of 1TB.
Any questions let us know below, we will try and answer all of them 🔥Peace out & stay safe!

I wanna know if tab s5e have smart selection feature. I am thinking to buy tab s5e. Before I do, I want to make sure that I can have that built in gif feature. It’s very useful for me when I used samsung galaxy s8. Thank you guys for making videos.
delphine black good question - haven’t found that function (Easy to find with the lite because of the pen)
S6 lite has 1tb storage...can the storage be configured as internal storage or does it stay separate?
It is expandable storage via a micro SD card which goes into the tab s6 lite via the as card slot. It sort of internal if you like.
i’m a samsung fan and uses their phones but when it comes to tablet, ipad is hands down the better choice.Google needs to develop a special os of software for tablet like apple did with ipad and also make more apps optimized.
yung mouss thank you for sharing :) I do love the iPad Pro
iPad will always be better since it is more costly
Thanks for your video! If I like drawing in the tablet about 1hour per week and I use it a lot with headphones for watching Netflix in bed (I don't care about the camera and I would probably play games but not so usually)... Should I get the s6 lite or the s5e?
Tab s6 lite will do it for you, especially as the pen is included and works well. We have done different videos on drawing and taking notes with the tab s6 lite.
samsung be like : yo bitches, i've got another joke
trade s pen for poorer screen but with built in palm rejection but no dex or trade in s pen with super amoled screen with dex
and ppl with tight budget looking for a midrange tablet
fcking hell, we wan a tablet that could support both dex and the s pen.
But it does put me off purchasing the S6 Lite.
cheers

😂 it’s the same with camera manufacturers - there is no one perfect all in one device when they get in their bubble of creation ... we want people to buy the lite hmmmm but we still want to sell the 5Se hmmm and it has to be worse than the S6 but not so much better than the 5se hmmmm give a pen take away keyboard
Welcome to business
@@TheCardGeek I totally agree. And sometimes those differences are important, but sometimes not. I used to work at Creative Labs (once upon a time), and one cool thing about that was getting to play with various Mp3 players etc. that they made.
You would think - oh, this version is better than than because...
But when you actually got to use it you might realize the opposite - oh I don't really need this, or I actually never use that. Or a friend would say - I really like feature X on the device, and you would be like - oh - I didn't even know it had that feature! 😂
Anyway.
Good practical review.
Thanks again!
cheers

Johnny B are you from the UK too?
I really loved this thank you, I am a student and it is difficult to choose which is the best for me.
Daniela Morgan thank you for watching!!
can we still use any keyboards to the Tab S6 lite? how it will be? can you show us please.
I guess a Bluetooth keyboard would be an option but I haven’t tried one yet
What? I’ve seen in other channels and videos that the s5e is way better than the 6 lite specially regarding gaming🤔 now I’m so confused
Ignacio Felipe do you need the s pen? if not,tab s5e is better in almost every way but it has wifi issue too, people be complaining about it
Hi, there are two main reasons to go for the S6 if they matter to you the most, 1) Software update and 2) S-pen.
Amazing effort
Well that looks like a huge difference on the screens!!
kalinek7 not really though - only if you look from the sides
Hi can you please make a video of Samsung galaxy Tab s6 lite editing video's . I'm planning to buy one . But I'm concerned about the processor . I am confused to buy iPad 9.7 or Samsung galaxy Tab s6 lite
Tejas Bhandari I am sorry, it was on the to do list but the adobe rush software is struggling on the lite - I don’t think it is powerful enough for the video editing tests we do
Get an iPad if you want to do serious work. Tab S5e is better if you just want to watch movies and play light games
Is there voice calling option available for galaxy tab S6 lite
R K WiFi calming
are you from germany?
Love your tablets reviews
The 5Se is the clear winner
dawid robapta what is it that makes you decide for the S5e?
The s7 is the one for me - I have a huge shopping list of requirements Samsung!
peeter85 ooooh that’s going to be interesting in summer time
Has anyone problem with connection wifi in s5e? I read a lot of negative reviews about disconnecting. I am interested in buying s5e.
Using one and for me there is no such issue
I never had a problem with the wifi
No problems here either
Cool review 👍 make me wanna have the s6 lite:'))
Where I can find the wallpaper
Thank you for this review I am retired and just need my netflix fix, which one for me?
Aleksander if only for viewing then the lite will be perfect!
The S5e is much better in every way, specially media consumption. Don't buy the S6 Lite unless you really need the Spen
The s5e is better in almost every way, with a higher resolution amoled screen, better speakers, better processor etc. The only reason to get the s6 lite would be for the s pen
Lets take a moment to bow to the S4
Eileen Davies Hahahaha love it :)
I have Top pay more here in Bangkok. My budget being disabled vet is such I am going to get a lite version. Better
than my Tab A 2018. Nice job.
the tab s6 lite has humongously better audio
@Avro Saha jajaja. Then I am glad I just did it
Did it support cellular?
Mr Mindowner it’s the WiFi version - the LTE version does
gaming and movie vote to S5e 😂
Drop the link to those wallpapers please..especially the one at 0:23
The app is called wallcraft (play store)
ALLSTARSPACE thanks
tab s5e is upgraded a lot now it has 8gb ram 64gb to 1tb storage graphics now can go to high much faster and so much better screen
Tab s6 lite has double tap and you can connect a keyboard by bluetooth
@S.R I didn't change anythink in settings. And it works. With double tap the tablet wakes up.
Both have it
I'm crazy Samsung fan and I love Samsung
Geeky basil empire I love that you love ... I love to see passionate people who shout out for their favourite companies!
is there translate option available in s-pen icon?
More BS as others have said the Tab S5e has better performance in gaming who paid you to say the opposite?
we are non biased and don’t go with what others say, there is no point testing devices if we would just repeat what other people say and/or read from a PR. we felt that the tab s6 lite had slightly better gaming performance. When you look at the open CL and Vulkan score both are half of on the s5e of the tab s6 lite is. this is one factor that will influence gaming. In any event both are not designed toi be gaming devices. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice review
S5e destroys the S6 lite.
The screen difference is absolutely big, tft just sucks. Especially IPS or TN, VA is a little better is some aspects.
Allyson Franken thank you for sharing!
I don't think the screen on the tab s6 lite is that bad.
IPS is a trademark of LG displays which is also TFT. You don't expect Samsung to call it IPS. But yes, they should have put an Amoled instead. Samsung is becoming greedy nowadays
Which one is best for pubg?
save a little more money and get the s6.
S5e is better
S5e only, so simple.
not that i use the pen that much but its so nice to be able to take notes. id probably pick the s5e though as its better in every other aspect
@@VoldemortsMissingNose I've bought it one week ago. Its just perfect and its also perfect for gaming.
Love this tab
S pen and headphone jack vs dex, fingerprint sensor and amoled screen.
Curtis J which would you choose?
@@TheCardGeek i already have a s5e, as i use it mainly for media consumption and internet browsing, it's just perfect for me. The oled screen is the icing on the cake for me
Curtis J that’s absolutely wonderful and I love it that you share what it is great for! The screen is fabulous and honestly the fingerprint sensor is such an added bonus
@@TheCardGeek i do miss the headphone jack though, but seeing how thin the tablet is it was probably too difficult to fit one
Curtis J I don’t miss the jack - I had too many accidents 😂
pls help wjich tablet is better for 13 years old boy?
Depends on his needs. If it's for school it has to be the s6 lite.
If it's for watching videos it's the s5e
It’s tab. s6
Cheaper one😁
Let us know when you tried the work around on the tab s5e. Thanks for stopping by.
thanx alot !
Where do yo get all these cool wallpapers.
The S6 lite is a lovely smart device, I have my s20 and s6 lite
Magikold thank you for sharing!
