The best thing I've deleted are toxic relationships. Negative people, emotional vampires and naysayers no longer have a place in my life, at least not in my personal life.
Why would anyone want to be around someone who doesn't want to be with you? I think it's worse to think that sticking around makes the desire in others to grow. That's not how ppl work. Never force a relationship of any sort of anyone.
@@jeffreybuoncristiano I sometimes think that people are fast to declare other people toxic in these days. Real friends will not give 100% approval to please... but this is what people want.
I recommended your No Fap and Men, Get Strong videos to a friend who told me he couldn't find them. I checked this out and apparently they had been deleted. I was glad you put this one up on deleting. I value your content very much and hold your advices very dearly. It's hard to let go of stuff, but it's so fulfilling to think of getting rid of things in terms of them having served their purpose. One must move on. Keep up the good work, Jeff. Your channel is inspiring. Peace.
Thanks. Yeah that video in particular is my least favorite. Too misunderstood. Ppl take no fap like it's a magic pill.l, it's not, it's simply a method to practice self control and goal setting, which gives one confidence. IDK why ppl think otherwise.
As a fellow photographer/videographer, I gotta say I love the color scheme in your videos. A lot has to do with what you have in your house, like the color of the walls, furniture, and what you’re wearing, but it comes together nicely on film; that plus the lighting is well done. I feel like you’re doing that intentionally and I respect it, good job with the videography m8
I've become extremely interested in minimalism in the last couple of years....the two biggest barriers to getting where I want to be with that are: 1. When you're married and your spouse hasn't totally caught the minimalism bug. 2. When you're a homeowner and you need lots of things in general (tools for working on the house and car, etc; and kitchen cooking utensils, etc.).....Still, that being said, I'm always trying to get down to the bare minimum, especially among non-essentials, but it's certainly not as easy as if I was single and living in a relatively small apartment, so I'm envious when I see your minimalist setup there....regardless of that, I always learn from your channel, and find your content very interesting, especially things along the lines of minimalism (and self-growth and learning).....keep up the good work, thanks Jeff
I recommend watching this video of mine. I think you also have to remember that minimalism isn't something that is to be given to someone. If your wife isn't a minimalist, then she isn't. Nor is there anything wrong with that. Perhaps, you could share the idea that you would like her to join you in it like a hobbie or going to meetups etc. Express that it's a culture not just a personality trait. ruclips.net/video/FDHQBhI2b4c/видео.html
I watched someone's video I think it was brake the twitch who said to concentrate on your own area of the house like your wardrobe don't have clothes that don't bring you any joy. in our house I do most of the washing so I try and keep it organised and tidy keeping to a minimalist aesthetic. Flow like a river if you meet any resistance on your minimalist path just go around it.
Love this concept of deleting. I had a huge pile of crap in my basement of stuff I hadn’t used in years. Took a weekend to clear out all of the things that I had no use for and didn’t bring me joy. The hardest part was looking at all of those things at face value; looking at how much each item cost me to purchase. After just donating or trashing those things, I never realized how much mental clarity there is in not having all of the extra items dragging me down. Especially the useless stuff. It saves me time finding things and I don’t feel like I have to keep track of all this crap I’d never use. I thought since they were once useful, I may use those things again. It’s been a year and I haven’t missed any of it. Thanks Buon.
As ostensibly cold as it sounds, i've tried to simplify "things" to include everything/& one i have affection for... that way it's about what one values in relation to time/space. Whether it's things or people, and you must be honest about whether you're wasting time...I think we stress ourselves out MUCH more by creating different categories of value. Sure people are more important than THINGS, but simplifying things always works for me. Cool vid, Jeff.
@@jeffreybuoncristiano Great to hear. I find your videos a great resource for self/life imrovement and for "cleaning up" my way of thinking about everyday life.
Just deleted about 300GB of stuff off my computer. The computer will run smoother now because it will not waste space or time on things it wasn't using. I think that's a pretty good analogy for our lives, too.
Although i am not a minimalist in any way, this video makes a lot of sense to me. I have so many things that I've kept over the years that i think I'll need one day (I'll use the box full of RCA cables as an example...) maybe i should get rid of most of the stuff i haven't used this past year!!!
I’ll be honest I’ve been subscribed to you for a long time now I’m from way back in the good old beard days and I’ve learned some really cool beard tips from you but for quite some time now you have not posted anything about beards in a long time and I want you to know that you edit your videos absolutely perfectly and I have lots of respect for you and what you do so I’m going to do something minimalist and unsubscribe to your channel your latest subject matter has nothing to do with me but please don’t think of this as your losing a subscriber because my girlfriend started watching your videos thorough me and she really got into all that minimalist shit and she now subscribed to you so no real loss and I do want to wish you the best of luck
Thank you! This is exactly what I am saying. Even if some thing or someone had value in the past, that does not equate to bringing current value! Please I'd be hurt if you stayed a sub and resented such because of inability to let go. I respect you reaching out to clarify for yourself. Much love! / When you mentioned beards, I have never posted a video here about beards, so not sure where you ever got that from me. This channel is over 2 years old and I purposely don't post about beards here for a number of reasons. 1. If I were to ever talk about beards, I don't want to be associated with them, so I make those videos for a company called Beardbrand. They have their own channel on yt. Perhaps you mixed up that channel and this one. I help that company with that topic. 2. I find ppl who are obsessed with beards to be a tad closed minded with WHY to grow a beard and miss the point of what we all are always saying, I didn't want to keep repeating the same thing everyone is saying on that channel. But I will help the other guys teach the real reason to grow. 3. I think looks are important as a man, but until this year and the videos I've made for this year, I didn't want to talk about looks.
i am interested to know more about you, although at first i was admiring your cool presentation only but seems you are a type of people who thinks deep and have precious inside.. i support you, and from believer side of view, i got to tell success itself in some time can get people confused and uncomfortable.. lots of eyes, lots of jealous.. be strong and keep forward! Minimalism can be temp thing ;)
I generally try not to put anything about me personally online. But if there is something in particular you'd like to know you can ask and I might share!
This channel has NEVER had anything beard related, mentioned or anything of the sort. Not sure where you got that. It's always been minimalism and personal growth. Again I repeat, this channel doesn't ever recognize the topic of beards.
@The Buon Life I followed you over here from your beard videos on other channels, that's the only reason I'm here. I'm sure a large chunk of your subs are too. But in saying that, even tho i am not a minimalist, i do enjoy your videos. Thanks
Thanks for the support and subscription! Although, I do my best to not be associated with beards, I do realize it's part of my past. I still support Eric & Beardbrand as a company in every way possible, and perhaps I'll make another video for them. But I am still trying to NOT be tied to my beard, beards, or anything to do with facial hair, which is why I only make minimalism and personal growth videos here for the past 2 or 3 years. However,I'm not too sure I may make another personal growth video as they simply are never liked enough to continue. The only videos ppl liked and I felt proud of were minimalism videos.
I like you and your content, but in my opinion I think you are too critical to yourself and the videos you post...you should just make videos and focus on the message of them and the content, not the structure and graphical design...for example look at Elisha Long and Gabriel Kalei Bocanegra's videos. They don't do much editing and just record themselves with their smartphones or a cameras and then post the video just with the needed parts and cut the silence and the res that doesn't belong in the message of the video
Should I mention that this whole comment is about how I'm not doing it right or what I'm doing wrong. Well, I have the same opinions of my work not being done well. So I delete it. As far as these ppl you mentioned, seriously, that sounds like trash of content with no thought or care to the craft and or love for it I would rather never make another video again than do something so below me. That's not helpful to the community and lowers the reputation of RUclips imo.
Like I said regarding the video deleting, you do you. You don't owe anyone anything. Just be true to yourself and keep moving forward.
The best thing I've deleted are toxic relationships. Negative people, emotional vampires and naysayers no longer have a place in my life, at least not in my personal life.
The best things to delete imo
Yes, but be aware of karma... the day you will feel bad, people could delete you.
Why would anyone want to be around someone who doesn't want to be with you? I think it's worse to think that sticking around makes the desire in others to grow. That's not how ppl work. Never force a relationship of any sort of anyone.
