Fantastic video man. Love seeing the workflow and how to move stuff around like this. Really enjoy your video and glad that fire alarm wasn’t serious :)
Since you own BIAB you should check out the harmonizer that is integrated inside the biab program. You can harmonize with multiple voices in different styles. Really cool feature ;)
Actually, that feature is why I upgraded my band in the box as I’ve been using it for years and was hoping to do several videos on just that feature in the way that you’re talking about, but I have not been pleased with the harmony results I’ve been getting with the 2024 version. Not sure what the difference is, but I haven’t found anything that I like enough to do a demo. But I love that it separates the Harmony tracks into separate tracks because back when I was using it before it was just one track with all the harmonies so we have a lot more flexibility. So I will definitely get to this.
Awesome! I love this stuff and you do a great job of showing us what it can do. I know I sound like a broken record but I’m patiently awaiting the day when I can do all of this within a single DAW without a monthly subscription. I think Image-line will be on top of it and I’m not only saying that because it’s the one of the only DAWs I’ve ever purchased and has been my go-to for almost 20 years 😊
Great video! Kindly do a tutorial where you record vocals in a capella, import audio into Synth V/Ace Studio and convert to midi, then import that midi into BIAB to create accompaniments for that melody. Is that even possible?
Question, what's the difference between ACE Studio and Synthesizer V Studio? One thing I didn't like about ACE Studio that it's a monthly subscription fee rather than one time payment, but if ACE Studio have certain important feature that Synthesizer V Studio doesn't have, it might justified paying for a subscription.
Very aware, but I haven’t been happy with the harmonies it’s been creating in version 2024 compared to older versions so until I get that sorted out I’m not featuring that yet, since that’s really the only way I’ve used the audio recording feature.
This is soo cool!! I really want to do this but just can't justify the BiaB cost for just a fun song or two. Are there any free alternatives to BiaB that you've found get anywhere close? Suno and other original generation stuff is great but I really want the ability to make funny covers.
i'm curious, which method do you find gives better results. recording your own voice then converting to an AI voice; or training your own voice then converting to it?
I'm sure it would be better to convert your real singing voice than to use a clone. You'll get way more realistic nuances that way. The exception would be if you can't sing on key and use AI to autotune your cloned voice or something along those lines.
I am trying to follow along....but I don't know if something is wrong with my band-in-a-box or what? Also...I don't have midi files I have mp3 files. But I can't switch out the temp...it is only allowing me one tempo and that is a Jazz tempo??? Hoping you can help me troubleshoot this.
in Kits AI when i download the converted file it brings me to the different pricing page. i assume you have paid and the converted file is just to listen to ( free demo ) i.e one has to pay to get the download thanks GL
Of course that is not the point of the ethical conversation related to AI. A cover song like we’re talking about does not utilize parts of an original recording or unlicensed voices, which is specifically what we’re addressing here. But I understand your point.
Can I just pay somebody to make the songs I want to hear? I just want to hear certain artists sing other certain artists’ songs in good quality. Its just for self use im not selling it or sharing or whatever.
The problem would be paying somebody else to do that for you because then it would be them that was breaking the law or whatever. The best thing would be for you to be able to do it yourself for your own enjoyment, where no money is exchanged.
We’re talking about production concepts. We’re demonstrating various feature sets of tools so that you’re aware of them and how they CAN be used. I even specifically say that there are better ways to do certain things, but these videos are here to get people thinking about creative use of the tools…whether my specific examples are “practical” or not.

I wish I had your energy Bob! 🎶
The magic of editing! :D

Hi Bob. Great video.
Did you know Band-in-a-Box has audio recording? Navigate to Audio > Record Audio
Very aware, but I haven’t been happy with the harmonies it’s been creating in version 2024 compared to older versions so until I get that sorted out I’m not featuring that yet, since that’s really the only way I’ve used the audio recording feature.

Very helpful tutorial! Thank you!
Thanks so much! Glad you got some value from it!
Bob, which of your videos would allow me to learn how to input an mp3 file, then generate the printable sheet music?

Yes, that's true. I'm NOT a fan of the limited downloads thing at ALL.
Wow! 😮
Just as a side note did you know that the meme dog that you used in your video just passed away today. Saw it on news feed
I did not know that. 😞
This is Great!!!!
I’d say pushing a button and creating an original song is much more ethical than making a cover song.

That’s a weird obsession. There are literally billions of songs out there that you have never heard.
@@Michael_Lak who said obsession. No one asked for your two cents’ anyways. Oh and btw I dj.
The AI cry babies don't care about copyright - they hate that AI can do their jobs in seconds for pennies!!
mage!
Not worth the effort just to make a cover song. Much better to just make an original.
