His instincts and reactions to anything that happens in any interview he was ever on are just incredible. Impossible not to laugh constantly during this, Brandmeier, or Norm’s interviews.
For me Super Dave theres nobody can tell stories like he does ,hes the greatest his voice ,deadpan, and has a million of them ,add in Gilbert Godfreys constant laughter , wish this interview was 5 more hours 😂😂
I was cracking up at their conversation at work, and then I had this morbid thought that these comedic legends are both gone from this world..... I grew up with both of them for decades and now they're gone.... It's hard to believe.
I had no idea Dave, far from being a curiosity left over from an old John Byner TV show was actually so embedded in the comic life of American television! And trust Gilbert, who has an encyclopediacal knowledge of comedy would of course know about it. Amazing that all this would evolve (or devolve?) on something futuristic called a "Podcast" in the second decade of the 21st Century! Such a funny guy he was.
Ray Charles and Redd Foxx are two of my heroes, too. I loved hearing those stories. Bob was so funny. I hope to talk to him one day. Respect In Progress.
@58:56 OK, maybe a Skinny, anorexic Asian model version of the Three Stooges... A wifu version, maybe: Stop motion animated wifus... Poking each others eyes out... maybe... IMHO
I was around 13 when the Smothers Brothers (and LAUGH-IN) were big. They were the two big "edgy" shows back then. More than any time period, shows from the late '60s/early '70s have dated the worst. Maybe they were trying too hard to be "hip" and "with it". I tried watching a LAUGH-IN rerun some years back and it was like having root canal work without novocaine.
Gilbert, Norm, Super Dave, and Saget. Amazing 4 years ago they were all still here telling jokes and entertaining the world. R.I.P legends.
This guy was one of the naturally funniest human beings ever.
Omg this was funny
His instincts and reactions to anything that happens in any interview he was ever on are just incredible. Impossible not to laugh constantly during this, Brandmeier, or Norm’s interviews.
Uhhhh no
For me Super Dave theres nobody can tell stories like he does ,hes the greatest his voice ,deadpan, and has a million of them ,add in Gilbert Godfreys constant laughter , wish this interview was 5 more hours 😂😂
There can't possibly be someone funnier or with better stories. This was a joy.
This is the best episode of all! Super Dave rules.
I love how animated Bob Einstein got every time he told a story. It's even funnier when he thought people were not listening.
R.I.P. Bob Einstein
R.I.P Super Dave :’(
Super Dave was a funny guy, RIP ... These Gilbert podcasts are outstanding actually, RIP to him too ...
RIP, Gilbert and Bob

It's hard to believe.
Bob was damn funny and good storyteller.

Or so the germans would have us believe...
“Don’t you think that possibly we’re boring the shit out of the public right now..”
I miss those two SO much. 😢
RIP Bob One of the greatest comedy writers of all time!
Man, this was one of the funniest things i've ever heard
His anecdotes about the shows he worked on are far funnier than the
actual shows were. RIP you genius.
"They should've given her to Rickey Henderson when he broke the record" lol!!!
Best ever of the series.
Man these two are killing me! Bob was great, so funny!
Omg imagine islf Norm was in this one. I'd be in the grave. This put me half way there lmao

"Can't a man relax!"
The joke he told Seinfeld and Larry David about the newly wed couple is the funniest thing ever Ever !!

His dad was just as funny, as is his brother.

I once met Pat Paulson driving down the 101 freeway doing 60 in LA 😂He was running for .President, you see.👋
This was a great episode. 😂
Ray Charles and Redd Foxx are two of my heroes, too. I loved hearing those stories. Bob was so funny. I hope to talk to him one day. Respect In Progress.
I hope Foxx wasn't your hero! Hahaha. He was a bad example in many ways, but an incredibly and naturally funny man.
Bob's my anonymous grandpa with all of his anecdotes
RIP your anonymous grandpa :(
The world is a little less funny without Bob.
I'm exhausted. 😂😂😂😃
I love how little Gilbert actually says thru this whole thing but his laugh holds its own with Super Dave.
I wish this was longer
Didn't Super Dave also work on a variety show with Redd Foxx?
It’s incredible this guy is alive after so many stunts going so badly wrong. I didn’t realise he was also an actor.
Great Great GREAT
Free Crap. MY FAVORITE!!! IMHO

THE SONNY COMEDY REVUE was actually pretty damned funny. Sonny
didn't give a fuck by then and just let the comics run apeshit.
I've heard people with cancer kazoos with clearer voices. 😂😂😃

His brother’s name was Albert Einstein.

The Smothers Brothers rep is far, far better than their actual show. Not very funny and dated
More of a grown-ups thing.

How old are you?
OK, so this is who this guy is... IMHO

Does the guy with the fake laugh wreck the entire show hack hack hack hack
Gilbert's awesome introduction ruined by that horrendous laugh.
