    About Authentic:
Host Shawn Boonstra makes it easy to understand how philosophy and biblical principles can help you live an authentic life in the 21st century.
We talk about real existential questions-stuff that everybody wonders about: the meaning of life, purposeful living, the nature of human existence, the thoughts of great philosophers and how those have impacted our culture and how we live-the nature of love, relationships, emotions, self-awareness . . . But most of all, we explore what it means to live an authentic human existence.
New episodes on Saturdays. Watch on RUclips and a growing list of North American TV networks and stations.

I want to believe Shawn Boonstra did see a sublime whether event on the camping trip he mentioned. 24:31 A ring of lighting falling around a cloud parted sky full of the aurora sounds majestic. I hope to see something as awe inspiring in my own lifetime. I pray that I can find a similar and greater sense of awe when I open the bible and contemplate God.

So good Shawn. I always appreciate where your mind goes. I often have to remind myself that I am not God and I can’t possibly see things thru His eyes.

The fatal flaw in Hume and Rand's line of reasoning is that no mater how intense and authentic an experience of any kind I might have, the whole world is obligated to doubt me when I try to share it.

I believe that my own father was changed when after our Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to my father many times before he died and told him the things that he needed to know. I was with him after and I personally saw. The change in him. But Jesus said “ Blessed are those who have seen and believed but blessed are those who have not seen and still believed. If we pray the rosary it does not always meN that we “ believe in what we are doing and the person to whom we are praying. Does it? No, it does not. We assume that we are believing because why would we kneel and pray if we did not believe integrity first place. Did Paul have trouble convincing the people that Jesus appeared to him and said what he said. My own mother did not believe first off until my father had to tell her over and over again. That does not mean that she was going to believe. Even after we had gone to church for all of those years assuming that we had the faith. After we are baptized and told that we have to have “ Faith”. Right? Right. Amen.
