My boys think I'm some kind of superhuman, so it's a lesson of sorts when I come home from the gym bruised and battered. Even your heroes are not infallible. It's a hard lesson, but a necessary one.

I wanna say “yeah you probably shouldn’t take your kids to your fight” but at the same time I watched my first UFC fight before I was 8 and love it. Should introduce your kids by watching an event on TV first, so they understand it’s a sport and even the losers are respected
Loving it when people you don’t know are fighting is different than taking your own kids and them watching you fight though, you had no emotional connection to the fighters when you were young, but it still teaches them valuable lessons

Dude Sam Alveys last fight brought his mom and all his little kids to watch and goddam. You could hear his mother scream in horror as he was getting tagged nasty by his opponent. His kids saw him get tko’d , that was pretty brutal fight for him .
Coleman was definitely the saddest, just reassuring to his daughters that he was fine when they could clearly see his face smashed up, their cries picked up through the microphone, and being introduced to the man that smashed his face in.
That Julianna staredown was adorable. And the fight wasn't bad compared to the other loses/beat downs...she kept getting knockdown but kept getting up and coming forward,fought hard till the end.
The only thing that kept her in that fight was her chin. She got blasted in every round. A beating like that is so much worse for the brain and body than a quick KO.
