So much fun watching you in your beautiful new studio. Tillie seems to be enjoying himself as well in the background playing with his ball and looking out the French doors
You are such an inspiration. Your channel showed up in my feed when your home burned. I cried with you. I LOST MY FIRST HOME to fire when my oldest sonbwas just 4 months old. Thank God we were not home. While I am sure you still grieve your pets, it is uplifting to see you teaching new projects and enjoying life.
Loved watching you create that crow. Also whilst you showed the new fabrics I kept looking behind you, admiring your new studio and remembering all the up-dates you shared, making it all come together. Love that Tilly is good company for you 🥰
Wow! You said that the crow quilt was easy! To me that would really be difficult! I am so impressed with you! I was watching you sew on your Juki! I love mine, BUT I had to buy the stopper attachment for my foot pedal because I kept cutting my thread each time I would try to sew. For a couple of years I turned the pedal sideways, but then I bought the stopper attachment so it wouldn’t cut. I also have difficulty using the knee lifter! You are a pro! I watched Tillie playing ball in the background! Cute! Keep up the great videos! I will keep watching! Thanks for your reply last week! I really appreciate that!
I love my Juki... It is tough to get used to the thread cutter and knee lift. For me it is a life saver. Tillie loves his ball that is his favorite toy... I try to reply to everyone, Sometimes I get a little behind
Love your videos and all your cheerfulness! I can make quilt tops fast but have trouble getting them all quilted on my domestic machine. Your are an inspiration.
Oh Marnae!!! I love your quilt!!! And just to let you know I live right below Sues Quilt Creations Quilt Shop. I was so surprised to know that you were there. Wish I could have known somehow. I would have come up to see you!!!! Your new space is beautiful and I love hiow excited you are to be sewing in it!! Keep up the good work and I will definitely be watching!!!!
So nice to see you sewing in your new studio , hope it heals your heart. Love to see Tillie in his bed being so content being out there with you. Wish I could visit. ❤
Have a fun day. Been busy canning potatoes 36 quarts done so far. Got crate of apples to do some apple butter and getting tomatoes tomorrow no plan yet. Much love from Idaho
I LOVE CANNING! I AM pressure canning some smoked beef and potatoes today. Hopefully it will make 7 quarts. I did 7 quarts of smoked chicken in broth and 7 quarts of burrito's in a jar. I like 1 jar meals...of course the quarts are a little more than 2 people can eat at one meal.
Oh Joyce, that sounds great! I love to can but haven't done it in a long time. Jim bought a freeze dryer & we have preserved quite a few things doing that process ❤️
Warms my heart you’re able to use and like the roller I love mine. Bought one of your sweatshirts this morning thank you for the tip on ironing the one corner seam in the opposite direction I’m working on some Lori Holt blocks myself today can’t wait for the next video
Hi! So much fun watching you sew in your big beautiful sewing studio. The quilt is adorable 😍 I plan to purchase a t-shirt snd a sweatshirt but was wondering if you plan on getting any 100% cotton tees? Thanks for keeping the prices reasonable 👍 The only thing I'd add to your studio is one of those old fashioned door bells that attach to the top of the wall so when someone comes in you hear them but mostly for show. I love em. Oh and more quilts on the wall or hanging around. I may be able to contribute one in a barn/farm type theme if you'd like? Wouldn't be until next Spring as I have a wrist and elbow surgery coming up in about a week. It'll take me a couple of months to recover from that. I also have a quilt and a few small bags to make that I have already promised. After that I am as free as a bird. Thanks for the fun😊🌹
Jim will check if they have 100% cotton shirts and if so we will add them. Jim wanted to keep the shirts reasonable so that more people could enjoy them. I agree we need to get some quilts on the walls. Jim was talking about doing a "block" border around the top of the walls.
the grids are 2 inch the fabric came from missouri star quilt. Here is a link to the flannel www.missouriquiltco.com/products/creative-grid-yardage/?variant=39542182346787
Hi Marnae, I love your shirt and I think that color looks fine and the design shows up just fine,, it actually matches your front doors.😂 I’m going to have to purchase me one. I too have a design wall with a grid on it and it is by Fons & Porter. But the lines aren’t quite as dark as your design wall. May I ask who it’s by? I love your studio! Man, what I could do with that space! My room is 11’ X 12’ And I love it, but who wouldn’t love more space. You are such an encouragement to me. And you do beautiful work! I am currently working on a panel quilt with a beautiful winter scene. HAPPY QUILTING! 🥰🙏🏽❤
Hello & thank you so much!! I had a fons & porter design wall in the farmhouse. We found this flannel fabric at missouri star. Jim got some 1/2" foam from home depot and used a spray adhesive to glue the flannel to the foam. here is a link to the flannel. www.missouriquiltco.com/products/creative-grid-yardage/?variant=39542182346787
Hello, The background color I explained in the video, the crows were a floral black on black from Scheetz sew creative, the wings were gray moda grunge, the stars were made of various fat quarters on hand in subdued colors. The final border is the autumn Lori Hort. I will have a finished reveal on the quilt top soon. Thanks for watching! ❤️😊
Hello Melody, I can't recall the fabric name/designer for the background but I did mention it in the following video to this one. Please check out my Border Blunders video where I was building the corn cobs for the border. Also you can find some of these fabrics including the background fabric at scheetzsewcreative.com
So much fun watching you in your beautiful new studio. Tillie seems to be enjoying himself as well in the background playing with his ball and looking out the French doors

Its one of the hardest things you can go through... In just a couple of hours your ENTIRE life is gone. Sewing is my therapy, I love teaching others

Quilting on a domestic machine is tough. We have a long arm but we need to save up to get the computer.

That cutting board you have is amazing! Did your hubby make it for you? You should patent it.
yes he did
Is the grid on your wall 1 or 2" ? It sure would help me to keep my blocks square. So to hear about the house fire. You make quilts that look amazing
