I am in awe of how realistic your diorama looks. The stone cave does not look like it was made from cardboard and clay at all. As always, I love how much texture you were able to add, even in such a small space. You've definitely thrown out some whoppers for this month. I'm going to have to put my thinking cap on! Fun!!

As much as I dislike the desert at times (although it has it's own beauty), I love how your little piece came out. The snake hiding in the back is an added surprise element. What fun to put this all together. And, as always, a lot of work too with all the details. Great idea to put it on a turntable so it can be viewed from all sides. Lots of great entries again for this art challenge. It was interesting to see what everyone came up with.
Thank you so much Lyn for watching. The desert is definitely to hot for me but it is an interesting environment with simple shapes, perfect for my 1st try at a diorama. LOL I think the cave /rock was the key to add dimension and bring this piece to life. Thanks for enjoying it and noticing all the detail that went into it. I have a new appreciation for miniature artists ,like you. Working tiny is not easy.,fun fun. Talk to you soon. : )

I like that you give the option of doing 2 or 3 dimensional projects. Even though you like doing 3D, I much so prefer 2D.
I want to make it easy on artists to work in their preferred style. Thanks for watching Sage and taking time to comment. : )

It's awesome, that you and your wife watch together and more so that you both enjoy my art. Thanks so,so much. And she is right...details are very important.
Now I often go overboard in detailing LOL ,but even other more minimalistic art forms pay attention to details of position, light source etc. I guess it adds to the feel of completion. Have a great week George.: )

Beautiful Ina! I just love the way you've made the base. Cardboard, clay, sand and more...it's loaded with texture and that must have been so fun to do. It looks natural to me, and if you don't know how it's made you have no idea what's under the surface at all. Great skull with the arrow, how the caves hide all kinds of creatures. I love where you've put the snake, and the cave art. And it all spins around as well. I can imagine this was a lot of work, but it looks fantastic! So thanks a lot Ina, also for the line-up, and see you at the next challenge! 👍

esp. all the details and I am glad you like it. I like to explore more air dry clay in my assemblages ,I loved working with it. Never worry about belated comments, life tends to get busy. I did get me some of the glazing embossing powder and used it in my latest project, I really like it. Thanks for the tip. Take care Meke. And yes ,see you at the next challenge. : )

Oh my! Ina you always amaze me with your creations! You know I just moved to Tucson, and your little diorama is spot on! I love the little cave paintings, how clever is that? and the colors of the little animals are great. I just love it all! I have finally got most of my craft room put together. This move was so much more involved than we thought it would be. I have been unpacking boxes for almost a month now.. not fun
Oh wow, yes moving is a biiig job, but can be fun. I love changes and have moved about my whole life. But now we are settled. LOL I am glad for you, that your craft room is nearly done . it usually will give new inspiration for new projects. YAY Thanks so much Dani for enjoying my desert, caves and all and yes Arizona has plenty of desert ,so does New Mexico, where my hubby is from. Enjoy your new home and talk to you soon. : )
