Universal Pictures is proud to release a new original event film created and directed by Steven Spielberg. The film stars SAG winner and Oscar® nominee Emily Blunt (Oppenheimer, A Quiet Place), Emmy and Golden Globe winner Josh O’Connor (Challengers, The Crown), Oscar® winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, Kingsman franchise), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters, The Perfect Couple) and two-time Oscar® nominee Colman Domingo (Sing Sing, Rustin).
Based on a story by Spielberg, the screenplay is by David Koepp, whose previous work with Spielberg includes the scripts for Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Combined, those films earned more than $3 billion worldwide. Koepp also wrote the script for this 2025’s Jurassic World Rebirth.
Disclosure Day is produced by five-time Academy Award® nominee Kristie Macosko Krieger (The Fabelmans, West Side Story) and by Spielberg for Amblin Entertainment. The executive producers are Adam Somner and Chris Brigham.

He knows the truth or at the very least far more than us about them…

@judgeberry6071You need to do some research. The US government paid for Close Encounters in full and in secret. The aliens at the end are close in appearance to a species that visits us, especially the tall thin ones, and the film is a reimagining of a real life event that is still classified. Spielberg was in the Oval Office many times, and this was all done to - 1. Desensitise the population to aliens 2. To copy real life so in the event you someone comes into contact, people will just say you are describing this film or that film. It didn’t stop at close encounters. Spielberg’s Taken is another example, as is Flight of the Navigator which revealed the craft shape and mimics how it moves. Great kids film as well but they put so much effort in to create that ship using computers for the first time. You are being fed propaganda and having your brain moulded all the time - happened to me too. I love sci-fi.

This kind of movie genre is more difficult to make in the present days. You cant make a movie like signals (2002) set in the present.

@cjoin83It will fail. Project Blue Beam was designed for a different time period when the awareness and tech was quite low in the surface population. Now it will be a circus if they try that. The hole planet will laugh at it. Not to mention that the real Aliens will mess it up as that it will infringe of the hole planet free will of natural evolution. The last period they could have pull this off was before 2012. But the Aliens make it clear that they will not tolerate that, there are limits even to the free will, so the Cabal drop it fast.
It's great to see Spielberg release another big summer blockbuster. It's been quite a while.

It's all pretty simple. There's aliens that are living on earth. The other aliens are about to arrive and they're scared to reveal themselves. Because once they arrive there , the new alpha of this planet. Seems simple to me im probably wrong

He was Oscar nominated for both THE FABELMANS and INDIANA JONES 5 at ages 90 and 91 respectively, making him the oldest ever Oscar nominee in ANY category and the only person to do it after turning 90.

A year ago I tried to get tickets for his concert with the Berlin Philharmonic. It was impossible, all three dates sold out in a fraction of a second. In the end he couldn’t travel to Berlin and was replaced by another conductor. I feel like I’ll never get another chance to see him live.

I don’t think it’s official music from the movie. The production is too modern and none of the writing really gives a John Williams vibe. it’s very likely it’s just trailer music but with some sound design from the actual film. The track is awesome though

Spielberg likes to make alien movies and dark demonic films disguised as kids entertainment too. Many directors did this, like Roald Dahl's "the witches," so much so they did a remake with Anne Hathaway. Cartoons like Jem and the Holograms had it.
- I don't know why Spielberg couldn't have just created a straightforward film on the Hill abduction. That story is creepier than any Hollywood movie and we need a serious and talented filmmaker to do justice to it.
