GGs! It was an honor to fight against you and glad the match was good for all those watching :) oonga boonga star fists can only carry me so far lol Love the content, keep up the cool stuff, been watching since the DS2 days :)
"FINALLY, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be LEGENDARY!". Jokes aside; what a hell of a set! I can see how this guy go so far; his spacing was actually scary.
Fantastic fight and great comeback. The mental aspect of the fight was fascinating. You stayed the course with your style even when initially going down one set. Great content.
That hit, with its windup and flourish, was the most respectful way to say something disrespectful. Oro wanted that giant hunt bad, Chris knew it was there looming, he knew Oro wanted it. Like a Gannon Punch, it goades the enemy, "Make the read, make my day". Chris dealt with it a few times, but when it mattered, when the pressure was on, Oro got it off, Chris succumbed. In that moment, for the last hit to win the tourney, everyone knew who the King was. That hit, along with using the UGS period, was in a way saying, "I'm just better, and nothing you can do will change that." It's fucking poetic and diabolical all in one. At least that's my anime headcannon.
I've never come across anyone with such great control of their positioning, roll timing and overall confidence in their fights as these guys while playing, myself. it's incredible
I don't think I've ever seen anyone measure up to Oroboro or ChaseTheBro before in a 1v1 where it even looked close. What a series of duels, great stuff.
He started off strong but I'd say your ability to not get impatient won you the match. He started to give you too many free trades in the last two matches and also you playing passive is a direct counter to his bleed. He probably needed a switch up to mess with you like you had. This fight was good, brings back memories of Dark Souls 3 arena. I haven't played much Elden Ring since I first dropped 500 hours into my first couple runs.
Extremely satisfying to see high level PvP with one of the chonkiest weapons versus one of the fastest and it still being so even match to match. Just makes me start to wish that we had PvP tournaments like fighting games with brackets and tense matches with varied builds.
What a great match! Very enjoyable tournament day, I really liked flicking through all the streams and seeing where everyone was during the prep stage. Good luck tomorrow oro
One of the best fights I've seen in Elden ring, Chris definately surprised all viewers, GG to you both! Amazing Amazing, I was sweaty watching the LIVE
It was simple really, by the 3rd fight Oro figured he could make Chris become overly aggressive by being passive and letting his bleed go down, he stuck with that technique. Chris realized what he was doing and started trying rush him, but for a veteran like Oro, he saw so many openings and was able to punish his aggressiveness every time.
This game has the most toxic, difficult and unfair PVP that exists in all games. BUT it is proportionately addictive and fun and with excellent gameplay. Congratulations for the video.
Nothing against the other guy, he’d whoop me in a duel. But bleed fist weapons are meta af and he’s got better absorption. Where as Oro is playing fashion souls with a sword that takes an eternity to swing.
Just scrolling through all these comments no hate on oro but he’s not an amazing player and ugs is still plenty meta after crouch nerf??? Is there something I don’t understand here?
@@2e826 UGS is not meta anymore. Is not tournament viable because of all the nerfs it got, mainly being reactable and losing most of the vortex potential.
Chris did well but he was leaning heavily on the fists build and trades. Oro shows real skill by reacting to Chris's strats. GG Oroboro. Stayed up to 2am watching this haha, worth it.
Man, I just have to say; I *love* the way you get excited when your opponent is doing well! 😆 It just shows _such_ good sportsmanship, and attitude in general, man! It makes _me_ happy, and I experience that excitement vicariously through your heartfelt reactions. Does that make sense? English is not my first language, nor is my vocabulary in general much to brag about. But I hope you get what I'm trying to convey.😅 Just wanted to say that. Good stuff! 👍
I think if he chose a more damage centric build those last 2 fights would've been a bit more dodgey, because of how reliant his build was on bleed you were able to just outpace him and get the bleed down. Wouldn't be the case if it was pure damage, no build up to run out the clock with then.
This perfectly encapsulates why I don't enjoy Elden Ring PvP. Even at this level of gameplay, which is undoubtedly high level, 90% of the PvP in this game is just "run away from the other guy". To be fair its been the same since DS3. You aren't punished for burning your stamina and there really isn't any need to manage your stamina for that reason. Still a fun moment but you have to admit the actual gameplay is really dull.
Yo who is this Oroboro guy? I bet he doesn’t even know that uplifting aromatic counters his whole build and I will kick his butt in a completely unrelated game once it releases and I figure out what it is
storm stomp and bleed fist weapons with a 3 hit true combo, not to mention the skipping his character is doing idk how elden ring or any souls game for that matter can have competitive pvp when the games are so poorly balanced and/or built for multiplayer
I’m surprised you used the Greatsword Oro. But then again I’m not super familiar with the format. Like, I’m not sure of the time constraints for the PvE side. Is there enough time to get the rusted key and kill Godrick? If so, definitely would go for the Caestus. You’d absolutely demolish any of these players, Caestus is probably the best PvP weapon you can get early game (I mean it’s one of the best PvP weapons period). The Greatsword is actually pretty bad in PvP, but maybe you wanted it to be more of a fair match, lol. Anyway, good shit. Is the tournament over or is there more than one stage to it? I saw Steel showing some of the format (lmao at most of the banlist), and it seemed a bit confusing. Like are you partners with Wraff? If so, what does that mean exactly?
I know crouch poking is fast but they need to buff the damage even the R1s feel sooo underwhelming compared to previous games it really makes bigger weapons just baaad compared to thrusting swords in PvP the whole point of having a slow weapon in PvP is for it to be high high 1-3 shot potential (crouch poke exception but still should do more then 2-300 ) even oros’s R1s were only hitting for 200 I also have this issue in arena especially on buffed opponents with physical damage reduction buffs

This was such a good set of fights, along with such a fantastic, borderline disrespectful ending.
Really? I found it eerily matching the occasion.
The last hit slayed a Giant of an enemy. 👏
what was disrespectful about using the skill?
That hit, with its windup and flourish, was the most respectful way to say something disrespectful. Oro wanted that giant hunt bad, Chris knew it was there looming, he knew Oro wanted it. yeah but now its bleed fists :-)
It’s not even crouch poke, it’s just roll poke which is way more predictable but somehow Chris fell for it every time
