So use to seeing fish on a trot line knot a beautiful swimmer from the Chesapeake.....Use to do a lot of crab pickin' on the Rappahannock when I was a kid.....Gettin' a taste for the Salt Life Yuri!!😅😎👀🎣
Use a 3 way braided line, tying on bait is too much and you have to space a full arm span, every bait on your line is different space from 12 inches to 3ft. Ive always used salted eels and works perfect, instead of tying bait on, use braided, you can unwrap and the bait tightens in to brad. Also 2 people w nets is too much, 1 driver, 1 scooper. Just something ive done for 30 plus years so its just tips, but love the style.
I have a similar boat and I've never been in the Chesapeake Bay or tidal rivers I've been on some pretty good size water but I want to know if you could give me the areas where I could go crabbing and fishing with a boat of similar size to yours thank you
In this video I was a guest on Sam’s boat. It was my first crab fishing. Now I crab Delaware mostly, so I have not been crabbing on Chesapeake since that time.
I live and mostly crab in Delaware now. Sam invited me to join him to crab on Chesapeake bay. That was my very first time crabbing. He hooked me on crabbing. I know in Maryland Wye and Chester river is good for crabbing. But in season people crabbing everywhere on Chesapeake.
Them commercial "waTermans" about crabbed out chesapeke bay. State needs to put some serious restrictions on them greedy boys before they ain't no crabs left.
Very good video. It is good to see you hooking up with Outdoors in Maryland. I look forward to his crabbing videos.
Yep. He was showing me the ropes… now I’m hooked. I went a few times to Delaware bay crabbing.
Way to go Yuri! Nice crabby looking basket indeed. That trot line roller bracket piece is slick. -Marc
It was interesting new experience. I liked it… especially eating those crabs…😂
