- Methiyu or Methiya Keri is a Traditional Gujarati Pickle Recipe, The main ingredient for this recipe is Mango and Crush Fenugreek Seeds (Methi) thus its called Methiyu. I learn this traditional recipe from my Nani Santa Baa, She is 93 years old and makes the best pickles since so many years.

Ingredients:
Rajapuri Mango 1 KG
200 Grams Salt
Crushed Fenugreek Seeds 100 Grams
Turmeric Powder 15 Grams
Strong Asafoetida 25 Grams
Reshampatti Chilly 200 Grams
Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder 15 Grams
Castor Oil 50 ml
1 tsp Sugar
200 ml Groundnut Oil
5 Dry Red Chillies

I made this last year but never gave my hubby. Last week due to heavy rains there was no sabzi so option was dal rice aacharya papad. When I served acchar he was like who gave this it's yummy. ખુબ ખુબ આભાર વિરાજભાઇ ઘણા વરસો પછી પારંપરિક અથાણાં ની રીત જોઇ. મારા દાદીમા મારાં મમ્મી આ પધ્ધતિ થી અથાણું બનાવે છે. આ મીઠા માથી બનાવેલ અથાણાં નો સ્વાદ ખુબ સરસ હોય છે. આ પદ્ધતિ નુ અથાણું બગડી જતુ નથી મને મારા દાદીમા ની યાદ આવી ગઈ. હુ આ પધ્ધતિ થી અથાણું બનાવું છું. ફરી વખત વિરાજભાઇ તમારો ખુબ ખુબ આભાર.

Kal mai achar bananewali hoo.sab tayari hochuki hai.isbar aapke jaisa achar banana chati hoo.Tank you so much.
