Inside the Hypnotic Art of Card Juggling

  • Cards twirling, knuckles blazing, hands-a-blur-welcome to cardistry, the sleight of hand acrobatic sensation all done with a simple deck of 52. The kings of the cards are Dan and Dave Buck, twin brothers dealing out some of the best moves in the game. Their mesmerizing, seemingly gravity-defying flips and tricks stem from card flourishes originally used by magicians to introduce their tricks. Now, thanks to artists like Dan and Dave, cardistry has spun off as an art form all its own-keeping the magic without the abracadabra.

      Chris Ramsay In this post Freudian age of institution of marriage,as a by-product of religiously fuelled monogamy, has deteriorated to the point that amorphous sexual identity, as opposed to riding religiosity, has become the primary self defining feature of the individual.But has anything changed?Has the entrapment of women via marriage which Blake called a "gilded cage" merely deteriorated to the "rusty prison" of the Bang Bus, representative of the anynomus male-centric sex and continued subjugation?

    cardistry takes a lot of diligence and practice. many of the people i know who do them have been practicing for years. there is little to no room to cheat in performance; your skill is really all you have, and that's why i can always appreciate someone who does cardistry.

      @lukasky6234 7 лет назад +1

      Yea but there is a lot of flourishes with diffrent difficult level. For example Charlier Cut - you can learn it in a few minutes. Opposite - Tornado Cut - very hard move. Even one trick cann surprise/blow someone who watch it, it is why i like cardistry more than penspinning. And also cards are magical thing

    • @fokusnikfm
      @fokusnikfm 6 лет назад

    I got a tip that worked, or atleast for me:
    So learn the steps to do your card shuffling, and try to remember with muscle memory.
    When you do it, do it while looking at a fun video, or something to keep you amused and makes you not look at the cards, then you will learn it also without looking and you will over-all learn it faster.
    Again, worked for me, don't know about others.

    • @Nobodyfrom2003
      @Nobodyfrom2003 10 месяцев назад

      @blackgoku678 no, you missed the point. Is not like you wouldn't be able to use cards to do magic, play games or gamble. It is about YOU as a person (Cardist) associating deck of playing cards with Cardistry.
      Pretty much the point is that for people to see a card and instead of saying "oh yeah those things gamblers use" or "oh the cards we use to play Poker" you could be like "oh this cards would look awesome while doing 'The Worm' on them" or something like that.

    It's funny that I recently got into this, thinking to myself.. well I've been thinking about this for years.. about time to start learning card tricks..
    And then realize Cardistry is actually a new and growing branch of card usage. I'm really glad I started this.
    And it's just there's no cheating with this, a lot of tricks have to be performed perfectly. You cannot stop practicing ever.

    If anyone's thinking of learning some of this, look up "cardistry" in youtube there are tutorials everywhere.
    Try Searching :
    "School of cardistry"
    "beginner cardistry"
    Or "beginner card flourish"
    To get started.
    Personally I'd suggest
    sybil (I believe dan and dave said it was thier first).
    Also a tip, put rubber bands around the packets before you start and practice moving them around first. That way you don't have to pick up the whole deck each time you screw up.
    Hope this helps.

      Well you should ask your manager if that's even allowed. I know in some places, dealers can't do flourishes because the players may be able to see some cards, also you might get accused of manipulating cards.
      I would recommend learning a move called "flicker" though, it's a one card move that's fun and easy to do to deal down like a final card.
