This song is a copy of the original song from the film Shree 420 which has been performed very effortlessly in the song but after listening to this song and its music we can only imagine the talent of Shankar-Jaikishan which was perhaps much more than we could have imagined. Such a song will never be made again and will be heard like this for ages

_रमैय्या वस्तावैय्या! हे गाणं म्हणजे एक झकास जमलेली भट्टी! आजही या गाण्याची लोकप्रियता कायम आहे! परंतु या गाण्यातील, 'रमैय्या वस्तावैय्या' याचा अर्थ काय, बहुतेकांना माहीत नसावा, मलाही नव्हता माहीत! आज एका रसिक, दर्दी (श्री. विवेक जोशी) ज्येष्ठाकडून मला तो कळाला, तसेच या गाण्याच्या निर्मितीमागील कहाणी ही तशीच रंजक! ती ही त्यांनी सांगितली!_

You may have seen this message, earlier.
It is quite interesting true story.
Story behind that unforgettable song 'Ramaiah Vasta Vaiya' in Raj Kapoor’s film 'Shri 420”.
The words 'Vasta Vaiya' are in Telugu language. So how did they become the first few words of a Hindi song? When Raj Kapoor started making the film, 'Sri 420', the music team used to often go to Khandala. The team comprised Shanker, Jaikishan, Shailendra and Hasrat Jaipuri.
They would to stop at a roadside hotel for tea and snacks.There was a Telugu waiter named Ramaiah. Shanker used to talk to him in Telugu and give the order, only to him, and no one else. Shanker knew Telugu well since he was born in Hyderabad and had lived there too.
On one such visit to the hotel, Shanker called Ramaiah to take the order. Ramaiah signalled him to wait as he was busy with some other customers. As there was some delay, Shanker became impatient and started humming the words “Ramaiah Vastavaiya, Ramaiah Vastavaiya” basically meaning in Telugu "Ramaiah, come quickly".
To these words, Jaikishen started playing tabla sounds on the serving table. This went on for a while. Hasrat got bored by this repetition and said to Shanker “Only this much... nothing more ?".
Shailendra immediately added the words “maine dil tujhko diya, maine dil tujhko diya". When the lines were sung together, the team thought this could develop into a good song. After some time Ramaiah came, took the order and served the team.
The lines and tune were later shared with Raj Kapoor who loved it all. He created a situation in the film and lyrics were written keeping the beginning lines intact. A beautiful Hindi song, with a tinge of Telugu, took birth.As every one knows, the song was a super hit and is an all time favourite.
