If you hate the falconry like me then Swamp Lizards are a good alternative at 40k-60k xp/hr from levels 40-60. I'm able to alch or fletch bolts/darts in between setting traps as well.
Black chins is more profitable than reds overall correct. You didn’t put the average per h making for black chins. They’re around 1.5 - 1.8mil an hour depending on how often you get attacked and 3 ticking. You also gain around 150k xp per hour too. The only problem it has is it gets tedious getting aattacked by pkers at a busy time of day. So do it when it’s quiet and in a total level world
Here's a nice tip if you like to earn a little more along the way: You can track Razor-backed kebbits at level 49; If you track them until level 57 you get a bonus of 1,2 - 1,3 mil gp. Exp rates average at around 28k so its not bad exp either.
Before RuneScape became osrs not long after Hunter came out I 99ed it in 3 days.... 3 long days miss that account so many hours into it... Can be fun to start over anyway

For the patient, birdhouses are good past low level. I just tack them on to the end of my herb runs and it only adds a couple minutes, I've made millions from the birds nest and seeds (once I got 2 magic seeds and a yew seed in a single run!), and passively gotten from about 50-85 hunter this way. I plan to do this most of the way to 99. Do be warned, though, you'll need decent crafting levels if you want to make the better birdhouses.
i agree, title says ultimate hunting guide and you would expect it to show you how to hunt and what to bring also rather than just showing the bare minimum. ignore these comments people always like to rebut somebody when they get a certain amount of likes for some reason? i see it all the time and is more annoying than actually helpful

Loved the video but...if normal red chins are 100k xp/hr, but with 3 tick method is 20% faster, how does that come out to 160k-175k xp/hr instead of 120k xp/hr?
I think increases how fast you put the traps down helps you catch the chins as soon as they spawn and you can trap them better that way where if you don't get it trapped the chin might just run around and you have to wait for it to come back. So maybe the exp is accurate.
Honestly birdhouses are the best method all the way thru ... Sure it takes a long time to 99 with them cause you can do 10 runs a day spending less then 20 mins total, but still if you dont want to train hunter and just get it passively overtime along side other skills especially bank standing skills.. bh's are the way to go.
How are you able to catch both kebbits at the same time for the dark and spotted kebbits if they both require the same eagle in the same area? I'm currently at level 58, and am mostly wondering to speed up the last few levels that I'm there for.
Catch all the nearest kebbits... Not at the same time...Not with two eagles... Click on the nearest kebbit instead of running towards a specific kebbit or waiting for it to respawn....thats what he meant

Just started hunter, need GP? Leme give you advice. Grind chins from 53 to 99. U'll make ~200m and the Pkers are not so bad at black chins b/c of revs (especially if ur lower lvl and have access to a total lvl world) Just hunt SE in the multi area (sounds terrible but pkers check less often there) and once u can Magic box, do it every 50 chins(100-200 in total lvl wrlds depending on stats/cb lvl) with 2 boxes in inventory and fuck tons of combo food (most 75+pkers don't carry tbs, just eat and tank 2 wildy lvls) And if u are anywhere close to a pk build... antipk. Chin Pkers are usually bad... and some will risk bank. I've made ~50m there anti-pking (fuck that 3 tick nonsense, bring pots and food) on a mid 60 lvl gmauler. And if nothing else, its fun af and there's a good chance u'll get that cute ass pet. Good luck getting it gold =D

I actually went back to doing birds and spiked kebbits, I found it be better xp where I can make money too. Falconing seems slow until you can do both Dark and Spotted.
Got around 66.5k/h at Spotted Kebbits at lvl 55 ish and bonecrusher. Dark kebbits were 63.5k/h so a small downgrade simply because i missed on them more often.

XP rates are very off. I got to 67 hunter and it took a lot longer and earned way less than what you said in the video. Just pointing it out.
Its dependent on alot. Are you fully paying attention. Mobile just came out dropping alot of the prices and the guide was a few months ago.

I followed his guide, brand new to hunter, learned on my own, its super fast
Reg chins from time to unlock to red chins takes 1153 reg chins and nets you approx 1.811 mill. Just did it and can fletch darts for extra xp
Do this at the location where you harvest the red butterflies (can't remember the fairy code someone will mention it below)

If you are using ring of pursuit, keep hopping if you don't get full reveal.
good semi afk method from 37 is to hunt the kebbits and use fairy ring to get logs from the bank

Private hunter area is faster. he didnt mention that in his video that the private are also has more chins and you catch them faster there.

Didnt show how to use the skill at all. I had to look at video from 2007 that was more helpful in actually teaching you how to do the skill

80 is when youl start seeing a big jump in how much money per hour but if you need the money asap you can do them at 63

I do manical monkeys and when waiting for the trap I fletch so you can pull in 100khr hunter and 300k fletch an hour. easy!

If you bank the fur from the dark kebbits in the falconry you can make quite a bit of money going to 60 from 57!
