I think this, and what they do to yellow, is bandai's way of trying to fix their own mechanics. There is no real counterplay against cost based removal, and now they print cards that have resilience against that. With yellow, people often complain about the trigger mechanic. And what does bandai do? They make yellow leaders that have the life cards face up. So now it is less random and you can play around what is coming. (See pudding leader for example)
Except they are still printing cards that let you take the face up cards to your hands and replace them with face down cards from your hand stacking your triggers
I think with this leader you have to play 7 cost dressrosa Luffy and kong gun That’s as far as I got but if he can pump 7 cost Luffy and it survives… you might be able to do something from there
Not sure why Nami is at 2k power. Every other 3c blockers have better effects and have 4k power. And I don’t understand why they keep color locking some of the effects like Jinbe’s. It should’ve been generalized so we can use him in dual color decks…
Some of the best cards came from starters tbf, Queen is $30 for a reason and 5c Luffy is still insane. Every deck usually has at least a couple good cards.

What this deck needs is a stage that makes all cost addition permanent. So that even if Jinbei gets popped, you still got off a +2 from him.
A card that maybe has an ability that grants it +1000 power for each cost above its base would be interesting, but probably still wouldnt help

Luffy's ability doesn't say "for the turn". So does he give +1s to cost for the game? If so it seems like he will pretty much always have 6k
